We arraived to the hotel at night time. The staf was wery helpful and polite.The position of the hotel is bit out of the main facilitis like shopping and market, but other wise is a good location.Highly recomended for familys whit small children.The smimming pool is one of my foworit becouse of the huge size.The restaurant food good and cheap comparing to other hotels we lived in before.
Shopping Tip : Buy ewerithing you can.

The internet was extremely expensive. It was in a convenient location. 3 minutes walk from the Patong Beach, and 15 minutes walk from a Mall. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast has a lot of selections, and i was really surprised by the delicious Chinese porridge. I was fully satisfied by the price I pay. Definitely will be back.

Close to nightlife, great customer service and food. I loved the SPA and the Tantawan restaurant. Overall Great location. I really enjoyed my stay here. I loved how clean everything was for my entire stay. Great location for shopping and nightlife. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. This hotel had everything I needed and wanted. The food at the Tantawan was GREAT and so affordable. They served great portions. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Clean hotel. Well-priced. Well-located. Huge swimming pool. Friendly staff. The standard rooms are in fair condition but not the best. However, the deluxe rooms are excellent. The hotel is well-priced and well-located and close to Patong beach right on the main road. The staff were very friendly and provided an excellent service. They allowed us to check-in early and they even upgraded one of the rooms for us because the original room had a problem with its drainage. The rooms are of a reasonable size and fairly clean. The pool is huge and very welcoming for a swim.

Thara Patong is a good and peaceful hotel surrounded with trees & plants. We love the pool especially pool jaguzzi. Very big. The people are polite. Improved English spoken waiter & waitresses. Breakfast is good with sausage, omelette, bread, fried mee/thin noodle, vegetables, pork slices, beacon, cereals including dried banana, fruits. Pool usage should extend till 10pm instead of 7pm. We cannot use the beach at night time but we want to use the pool. Cant use coz close at 7pm. Jaguzzi should also extend from 10am to 1pm and 5pm to 8pm instead of 11am to noon and 5pm to 6pm We love the deluxe suite. Too bad our room is too close to the renovation area. Cant really enjoy the room as I cant stand the hacking sound that start from 9am till 5pm non-stop. When we were massaging outside, hacking sound just too noisy to enjoy the good massage. But the massage was worth it. Will go there again if have the chance. The workers are very polite. Especially Roon - the bell boy who shows us the room and tell us every single items. The hotel is just opposite the beach which is very convenient to walk over. A bit far off the happening town but we love the place. From a busy nightlife within 5 minutes away, we get back to the hotel that is peaceful and quiet to rest. Will go to Thara Patong again to stay in the coming future. Hopefully after the renovation is complete.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Dont go Phi Phi Island. Should use the money for good massage, shopping at Jungceylon, good Thai food opposite Jungceylon, You & Me Restaurant, Suits from Mark Shop (opposite Hard Rock) - good workmanship and price reasonable. Those who love nightlife, BANGLA ROAD is happening.

Very good location. Breakfast daily. Very quiet. I would stay at the Thara Patong again. No real dislikes to this hotel. The Thara Patong is excellent value and the location is excellent. Two entries to the hotel. If you exit near the main foyer area you can cut through the hotel across the road and access the beach. Further down the road there is beautiful places to eat directly on the beach e.g. Sabai, Chez Bernard.
The pool areas are excellent with a happy hour at 5.00pm where all cocktails are half price. I could not fault this hotel and would stay there again.

Very Nice Resort and you could not beat the price. The massage by the pool was worth every pennie. Breakfast was included. Hotel's Italian Restaurant was exceptional. The internet is very expensive. Upwards of 32 USD per day if you want 24 hr access. Also, most personel could not speak english or at least not very well. Concierge and staff was not very familiar with their own services or suggestions No hot spa in the pool area. Very Nice Resort. I had the largest room in the resort and you could not beat the price. The massage by the pool was worth every pennie. It was only 500 baht for 2 hrs and it was very relaxing. Breakfast was included and it was very good and very well stocked.

room is nothing special, very economy linen, which would normally be used in a 2 star hotels
not a value for money place I would not stay at this hotel again, even if I was offered 50% discount. The location is good if you want to go to Patong to party as it is literally in the centre of everything.
Staff training is needed urgently and the hotel should do more than put a nice TV and new cupboards to charge international hotel chain prices for their hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Cape Promthep is a wonderful spot on the south of the Island. Go there for sunset.

The receptionist is not nice. After we checked in, they DID NOT tell us which way (even whether we should go to the left or right!) to go to our rooms! It was raining when we arrived and they told us that our luggage would be sent to our rooms when the rain stops! They found a way to sent our luggages after we got angry (because it did not make any sense that they cannot send luggage because it's raining! So we cannot change our clothes?) and they still didn't tell us which way to go to our rooms. Instead, he said "go there" and point straight (not in a polite tone, by the way). We walked straight to the hall, but still could not find our rooms! After we got angrier, he said "please wait", but he showed angry face..
The breakfast is OK, but there were many flies and it seemed like they didn't care. We asked for candles to get rid of the flies, but they said that they don't have it (not sure whether they understand my question or not).. strange!
When we checked out, the receptionist is not the same person (first receptionist when we checked in). She was better than the first one, but still didn't show a friendly face... But, when the other guest came, they looked so friendly and said greetings to them.. Again, strange!!
For the rooms, the floor is wet all day.. We're not sure why (humidity?) and why they didn't have preventive actions to handle it...
This hotel is not recommended, especially because of the bad service and unfriendly staff...

service are bad, far from airport, bad bad bad.. arrived with a group of 6 person, book 2 rooms ahead. The receptionists were not nice at all and impolitely told us to add an extra bed for each room. Had to spend half an hour just to settle the booking and extra bed arrived over 30 minutes later. Access to rooms are not nice and difficult to remember and dark without proper lighting at nite and a bit spooky for us.
They didn't have umbrella to cover your luggage, so prepare for wet luggage! foods were okay. they also didn't provide free transportation to airport. overal..not recommended unless you don't find another hotel to stay.

Location, staff, rooms, breakfast Cost of WiFi and limitation on period of time it covered for use ie. had to be used by a certain time three days. Good hotel would recommend to my friends we stayed for a week all was good.
Travel tip : Hotel dining is a little mor expensive than some small restaurants, however the service and food are excellent.

Nice courteous staff Menu could have been more indian (veg) Hotel is situated in very central location which is good for taking short trips. This was quoted as an example in sightseeing tour for other fellow travellers. Other aspects like cleanliness & good was also good. Prompt check in and check out facility as well. The Thara patong is close to the nightlife of patong which is nice but the rooms are old and need help the breakfest needs more. The pools close at 6 and do not open again till 8 the next morning the spa is ok but better ones can be found outside the hotel, after 12 at night can only use one enterance.

Location if you like shopping and night life. Very nice pool, lovely breakfast and staff are friendly and helpful. Superior room which we stayed in looked tired especially the bathroom. Some floor tiles chipped. The shower and toilet in delux room needs some work.
We stayed 5 nights in superior room which was OK. It was clean although the floor tiles in the bathroom need replacing as one or two were chipped. We then moved to a delux room. It was better apart from the shower and toilet. There's not enough water pressure and the toilet flushing was difficult to operate. Location is good for shopping and night life but if you like quiet, you have to stay away from Patong. We love the breakfast. All the staff in the hotel were friendly, polite and helpful.
Travel tip : Laundry service at the main gate is good.
I enjoyed the massage I had at the massage area near the pool instead of going outside.
