Small rooms but overall an OK hotel
Location, near beach, good restaurants nearby, nice pools
6
overall, the resort was okay. I stayed there for 4 nights. The internet is cheap, the resort is quite big. Definitely value for money! The staff around the hotel are very courteous and all smiles. They make me feel very welcomed!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Try out one of the burger restaurants (forgot the name of it) they had a promotion for their set lunches and it cost only for a burger, fries and free flow coke. The surrounding is entertaining. Great nightlife, indian food, thai food etc. Beach is also just around the corner, about 5 mins walk.

fantastic hotel!
location, pool, decor, breakfast is tops!

We chose Thara Patong primarily for its location very very close to the Patong beach, I hate the idea of taking a tuk-tuk or walking 10 mins to the beach AND was bowled over by all the place had to offer. The entrance and lobby area is wonderful, we got upgraded to Deluxe the stay was simply phenomenal. Front desk staff speak good English and that's helpful. We were given a nice welcome drink and cold towels to freshen ourselves while we checked in. Hotel is well maintained and clean - the pools are heavenly. Its a pity we didn't get to use it much as we were always setting off for the beach! Lots of attention paid to details in our room. Beach towels regularly replaced, umbrella (it was the rainy season when we went), a bag to carry ur stuff to the beach in, torch lights, bath robes.. just perfect. Didn't expect to see so much for what we paid ..its 5 star treatment at a quarter of the price! Housekeeping is very nice too..room is spic and span despite all the sand and moisture we bring in from each trip to the beach. Only con I can think off really is the smallish bathrooms which had a mini fault in the design I guess, water spills out of the tub onto the floor instead of back into it, so on day 1 its a bit messy to have the floormat all soaked in water. After that we always put it outside the bathroom and was fine. The breakfast buffet is one of the most lavish ones I've seen - at least 8kinds of bread, salad bar, fruit bar and tons of western and local choices - Amazing. Will stay at the Thara Patong always and recommend it to all - couples, families etc. Its a place for everyone.

Best hotel in Phuket!
Location, 2 swimming pools, holiday feeling
8.7
We booked this hotel for 2 nights. The hotel really gives you a holiday feeling: 2 great swimming pools, nice staff, quiet area, great rooms. We tried to book 4 nights extra but it was fully booked.

Thara Patong Beach Resort & Spa

his hotel is the ultimate place to stay in Bangkok. Its five star service and accomodation in every respect. Agoda has special rates and its the best value for money in Bangkok. The rooms are huge and well appointed with great views. The Sirucco restaurant on the 64th floor is excellent although over expensive.

Very Pleasant Stay
Good location, breakfast, pools and general facilities.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were all pleasant and we managed to get our two adjoining rooms which most hotels in Asia find difficult. The pools were good and the hotel is close to night life and the beach, but is very quiet at night. There was a good selection at the breakfast buffet and one day we had hamburgers by the pool for lunch - excellent!
We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Good resort to escape the streets of Patong
great pools, big and clean rooms
7.7
A good large resort located in the middle of Patong near busy bangla road and paradise complex night strips and main shopping roads. The pools and day spa were impressive. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choice but was only average. We were upgraded to a deluxe room which was large and clean. Staff were helpful.

they said it was off season when we went-August. there was an incident where the staff and managers were completely rude we ordered a pizza and cancled the order the manager yelled at us accusing us of a second offense. could have sorted it without rudeness!
Travel tip:
there are no good restaurants around the hotel its al italtian, no traditional foods close bye that are good.
