Two huge pools and two children’s pools as well.
Great breakfast spread.
Friendly staff.
Just far away enough to be quiet but only a short walk to the beach. (2 minutes)
Great for Kids!
Time goes by too fast!
Coffee is strange at morning breakfast.
Getting more and more expensive each year.
Overall It is a great hotel. I spoke to other people who are staying and they agree too. I have stayed at this hotel 4 times now. It gets more and more expensive each year but my wife and I always have had a good time here. My nine year old daughter meets new friends to play with each time she comes and she has met friends from previous years too!
All and all, we had a wonderful time!
Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel might try to place you in the lowest quality room possible. If you complain, they tend to move you to a newly available better room

Great Location - close to the night life but very quiet.
Friendly, efficient staff.
Two great swimming pools with bubble jacusis.
Bedrooms welcoming - nicely furnished, with clean linens daily.
Breakfast menu extensive and food of a good standard.
None of significance. A bath, in addition to the shower, would have been nice, but not essential.
A well located hotel close to beach and night life and within easy reach of shops, restaurants, etc.
The gardens are beautiful, with lush tropical trees and shrubs surrounding the two, crystal clear, swimminmg pools.
My rooms was comfortably furnished with a large king-size bed; towels and linens were changed daily.
For the single male - the hotel is guest friendly, but beware - if you haven't booked in advance for two people you may be charged an extra Bt1,000 per night.
Overall, a wonderful experienced and I will return later in the year.

Room large, airy and clean! HUGE bed!
Modern bathroom separate shower and bath, very well maintained.
Central location but quiet as well.
Pool is beautiful, big and great features.
Staff really friendly and helpful!
I couldn't really fault this hotel, we stayed there for 5 nights and had a fantastic time. The hotel is quiet even though its right next to the nightlife. Staff were so helpful with everything, very friendly and the pool was great!
Room was always clean and spotless, all mod cons and no problems whatsoever. If you are visiting Patong I definitely recommend this hotel especially for the price its well worth the stay.
Restaurant Tip : For cheaper meals avoid the larger restaurants and look down the side streets for the little family run restaurants. They don't look great from the outside but they're half the price and equally as good!

Lovely gardens;2 big swimming pools;good breakfast selection; good location close to beach, shops and restaurants; friendly staff
Superior rooms very tired:wi-fi expensive (when will hotels understand this overpricing annoys customers and they use internet shops?)
This was a suprisingly pleasant hotel well positioned in central Patong. The hotel is built around 2 large swimming pools and a splendid garden of tropical plants and trees. The buffet breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly and attentive, although I exclude the reception staff from this. The local is very quiet although the hotel is close to the shopping and restaurant areas of Patong. The beach is only 100 metres away.I had a superior room which was very tired and needed redecorating. It was not overly large but in all the hotel was excellnt value for the price.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you are sightseeing in low season do not book at the hotel but compare prices at the various tour booths. We got a 2800 baht trip for 1050 baht by shopping around

Great location, nice pools, and the staff was always helpful.
Bathroom could have been bigger.
Stayed during low season. Hotel was not close to being full which probably explains why I got a room upgrade upon arrival. The room was nice. Bed fine. Would have liked the bathroom to be a little bigger. Breakfast that came with the room was fine. Never tried the restaurants for dinner though. The location was also good...close to the beach, and close to the out restaurants and shops. Overall enjoyed my stay. Have I stayed in better hotels? Yes. Have I stayed in worse? Absolutely.

Wi-fi is available in rooms but at ridiculous rates (i.e. 3 x the street price). The hotel should take the opportunity to offer this as a complementary bonus but instead it comes across as seizing a price-gouging opportunity.
We stayed at the Thara Patong in early June and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great location: within walking distance of the beach and Bangla Road but without the noise.
Rooms are comfortable, well fitted-out and clean. We were in a deluxe room which comes with a good-sized bed, lounge and a balcony overlooking the pool.
The pools are undoubtedly the highlight of the hotel, there being no less than 3 of them including one for toddlers. The other 2 are of good size and have great features if that's your thing: spa-streams, waterfalls and fountains abound, particularly in the Tamarind pool. There are plenty of deck-chairs and umbrellas around the pool as well as a bar and cafe. There's also massages available near the pool - I can totally recommend the foot massage!
Breakfast was good with Western and Asian food available. Eggs are freshly cooked on request and tea and coffee offered when you arrive although if you're not careful, it's also cleaned up while you're off getting some fruit!
The hotel was great value for money given its location and facilities. Staff were friendly. I'd definitely stay there again and will recommend it to people.
Shopping Tip : Cheap internet available next to the Air Asia office down the road at 1/3 of the hotel price. Laundry also available straight outside the hotel (near the dining room exit)

has 2 pools, decent brekkie, rooms good
had a hamburger poolside , nup, forget the classic burger u burger lovers have a pad thai or radna
Only there 1 nite but its not bad in a good location . Has rooms looking over 2 large pools
tv with dvds, overall good value in low season
Patong is the busy area in phuket and has plenty of bars , restaurants and activities to keep u busy for a week or so. soi bangla has many bars to keep u full of beer and plenty of everything else if u are looking for action and a fan of horizontal folk dancing.
Nightlife Tip : soi bangla for drinking and fun

None that i can think of, if there was one its the shower door that was hard to open and close
From the minute i arrived and received the warm smiles of the staff, and the minute i left the service and atmosphere was fantastic. I booked online and got a free upgrade when i requested at the check in, nothing was too hard for the staff. The pool side room where i stayed was awesome, you step outside your room and into the pool where you can enjoy a nice beer while sitting in the pool, overall a great experience....well done to all staff..I will be back!!!
Nightlife Tip : Very close to shopping and the night life strip!!

It is quiet and peaceful. Staff quite friendly
The staffs can be more friendly
It is a place to rest and convenient to amenities. It is cheap considering the location. However, the service can be improved further. It needs some renovation if possible. Great discount for inhouse resident should be given as well. Great massagers should be provided with special discount for residents. Preferably the room should be individual so that the joint room will not be affected. We are affected by the party group jointed to our room.

Resort in a great location just a few steps away from all the markets and restaurants yet it was very quiet in the resort 2 swimming pools were beautiful.
I would definately stay in a deluxe room
drinks at the resort are expensive
We had a lovely holiday at the Thara Patong and on our last night had a deluxe room. The deluxe room is well worth the extra as the bathrooms are bigger and many more extras overall. The staff were very obliging and friendly. We will stay at the Thara Patong again while in Phuket
Restaurant Tip : Sweet restaurant in Patong was excellent and cheap

Location is great, short walk to the beach, nightlife is close by. Rooms are great and the restaurants in the hotel are first class.
The Thara Patong Beach Resort Hotel is a fantastic value, the location is great. The restaurants are excellent and the facilities, the bars, and the pools are wonderful. The staff is courteous and very helpful. Plan to stay there again.

The resort is in a great location in Patong yet very quiet when in the resort.
Great gardens and pools.
rooms had king size beds and tinted windows for privacy
The standard rooms were needing attention ie repaint and only small bathrooms
We had a great holiday at the Thara Patong Resort. It was in a very busy part of Patong Beach yet when you entered the resort it was lovely and quiet. The swimming pools were great and so war the breakfast. We asked for ground floor rooms around the pool and were able to walk out of the room and into the pool.
Restaurant Tip : Lots of nice restuarants around but not the Tipsy Prawn

Good location, good food and cocktails.
Hotel is very large and hard to navigate around
We really enjoyed this hotel. It was far enough away from Bangla road so we did not hear the noise but close enough to everything else to be able to walk around. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and we booked our tours with no trouble at all. The only problem we had was with checking out. Something that was supposed to only take 5 minutes turned into 25 minutes as they forgot to tell us everything was fine.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We hired a driver for the day that took us to all the attractions offered on the tours except we did it in our time and went where we wanted to go.It is worth finding out this cost before you book a tour.
