Great Location, beautiful beach across road
Great variety of resturarants within hotel complex, no need to go anywhere else
8.7
Really enjoyed our stay, beautiful resort, well maintained. It is on a quiet beach, but close enough to Patong night life if you want that experience. Only negative is that we would have liked Wi-fi in our room, other than that, would definetly recommend it.

Thavorn Palm Beach Resort with positive surprises.
nicel Hotel with really nice staff and beautiful garden
9
Beautiful, older hotel with beautifully landscaped garden (with some historical surprises) and very very nice staff. The entire hotel is being renovated without disturbing the guests really. There have been some difficulties in the beginning (only cold water in the room, hair dryer was broken, loud Russian neighbors) - but after our complaint, we were immediately given a new room with a really great view. The breakfast was excellent with their own freshly baked bread and always fresh fruit. Three large pools + a children's pool, nearby beach, rapidly accessible from the city center, a complimentary shuttle service to Patong and free WIFI are additional advantages of the hotel.
A great beach (no comparison to the noisy, dirty Patong beach) with many waves (sometimes very high), but fine-grained sand with pure water. Thavorn Palm Beach Resort is really worth a visit and has earned four stars. But we give four and a half star - because the friendly staff.
Restaurant Tip:
The associated Old Siam restaurant was the biggest surprise for us. The prices are slightly more expensive than in the surrounding places, but the Thai food was one of the best we've ever had (my wife is Thai and she knows how Thai food has to taste).

Perfect environment, but breakfast is just normal
Green environment, Quiet, a lot of swimming pools,
7.7
I've enjoyed staying at Thavorn Palm Beach, especially I liked the environment. All greens, with orchid garden and tasty restaurants. And hotel location is the best. Karon beach can reach after cross over the small road.
But hotel breakfast is just normal. Except that, I love it.
Definitely, will be stayed again and recommended to stay there.
Restaurant Tip:
Restaurants were a bit expensive, but you can find tasty local Thai food in Karon Beach road. Near the Thavorn Palm Beach hotel

Nice exterior but old and dingy rooms
Nice pools and gardens, loved the bunnies!

The rooms are in desperate need of a renovation, especially the bathrooms. The staff were not the friendliest that we came across during our trip. The quality of the food can also improve.

Nice swimming pools and good size rooms
5.7
The hotel is fine but staff overall, not too friendly, apart from reception. Balconies, although large, very sparce and cold looking. Has some good restaurants nearby but only on the beach side. As it had ben raining quite a lot there were old towels just dumped in spots around the hotel and didn't look very nice and took a while for the staff to clean up cigarette butts, bottles etc. around pool area. There is good shopping in Karon Beach, not as hectic as Patong.

Quiet & back to nature!
Like an ancient palace with well maintained beautiful gardens surrounding the hotel. Many swimming pools as well.
10
it gave me a feeling like coming home from busy world out there when our taxi driving toward the big open space in front of the hotel. the hotel building reflecting thai's architecture richly with beautiful roofs at the lobby. the people are very friendly and polite with thai's culture. the morning breakfast provided was excellent with many choices. so far one of the best. it is really a place for you to stay away for your mental overhaul! the karon beach is just across the main road. this is a hotel with reasonable price and worth staying.
Nightlife Tip:
The only night life in Phuket is at the Bang La road in Patong Beach. It is a place you must go & see the different world!

Nice view
Nice and relaxing environment
3.7
The look of the hotel is great, environment is relaxing.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It is about 20 minutes to travel from hotel to Patong area. Patong has got a lot of shops for shopping and pubs. Foreigners will like to hang around here.

This hotel is in need of a major renovation, it is very dated the grounds are lovely and its position good, opposite karon beach and close to restaurants and shops. The rooms are a good size but are really showing their age, bathrooms particularly. The buffet breakfast caters for all tastes and is certainly plentiful, the staff are friendly and mostly helpful, all in all a great place to stay if they would spend the money and fix the place up. transport is always available outside the back of the hotel and Patong is only a 300Bht[about $Aud9.00] ride away. Kata is within waking distance and has a good choice of restaurants and shops.
Restaurant Tip:
Try Two Chefs restaurant at Kata, great food and service but sit upstairs...much cooler.
