I love the Aspasia!
Views, rooms, staff, food, location
10
This was our second stay at the Aspasia and I will stay here everytime I visit. My husband and I LOVE this hotel! The rooms are very spacious, very clean and have great ocean views (if you book seaview). The staff are so friendly and we built a great relationship with them. The walk up the hill from Kata is a bit of a challenge but great exercise! But when you see the view it is all worth it. Recommend doing the Thai cooking class at the hotel restaurant - can't beat cooking great Thai food whilst looking at the beautiful ocean! Food at the restauarant is also good and you get a free dinner voucher for a 3 course meal! You get a free massage (1hr) at the Aspasia Spa as well which is really good! We will be back in May 2011. Stay here and request a sea view room - you won't regret it!!

Aspasia
Excellent design for a boutique, with emphasis on the environment. Large, spacious, airy rooms
7.7
Overall, I'd say that the hotel is good value for a family holiday although I visited for rest & relaxation since my children are all grown. The surrounding local attractions are plentiful & one can avoid the more seedy areas of Patong!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
You can hire a self drive car & visit several of the surrounding local sights

Beautiful view from room, very friendly and helpfu
Nice rooms, great views, secluded, not far from Kata town, relaxing
8.7
Nice hotel, good value for money, clean rooms, beautiful views, friendly and helpful staff. It is a steep hill to walk up- my pregnant wife and two year old had difficulties- I usually ended up carrying my child up the hill. Transport is easy to get though so this might not be an issue for others. The main negative was the safety aspect- railings and balconies are not sufficient to keep little children from falling should they do something silly- and the drop is far. Made us nervous.
Travel tip:
take cash to thailand- easy to change $ everywhere, exchange rate better than bank with no fees, safes in room in all nice hotels.

Nice view
Built on top of a hill with a great view of Kata beach. Breakfast was great. Large room. Friendly staff. Nice romantic getaway away from crowds.
9.7
We booked this hotel for a relaxing break with plans of doing nothing but relaxing by the pool. For this purpose, this hotel was perfect as it was in a nice quiet location with a great view of the Kata beach.
Like others have mentioned, the walk to beach is a bit of work that involves a walk down a dirt path and an ominous sign that you walk the path at your own risk.
All shops and restaurants are also at the bottom of a steep hill.
The hotel restaurant is pretty nice. Prices aren't cheap, but we got a complimentary meal voucher for one of our nights and complimentary breakfast for both days we stayed there.

Excellent!!
Modern rooms, beach views.
9.3
I love this hotel, the room is spacious, super clean and modern. The bathroom is very nice with its double sinks and round showers. We only booked this hotel for 1 night as a phuket lay-over before going to phi-phi. Really wished we had stayed longer and spent more time in the room!!
The stairs going around the hotel can be a little tiring, and the path down to the beach was rough and difficult...just take your time. Make sure you wear good shoes! But given how great the hotel room is, we would certainly stay here again.

Wonderful
Luxury, Thai massage was brilliant! Hotel service and breakfast was fantastic. Reception very helpful. Swimming pool.
8.7
We stayed in the grand deluxe seaview room, the agoda website said we had a jacuzzi bath, but when we arrive we did not, so make sure before booking. This was the only real dissappointment! The view from room was great, and the balcony was huge, with comfortable chairs! Huge great shower, but had to wait for hot water 2 mins. Hotel smell was very nice, coming from the SPA. We would recommend the Aspasia to anyone.
Restaurant Tip:
There is a small Thai cafe/restaurant, backpacker style at the bottom of road, 5 mins from Hotel, with great food at a good price. Also there is many more restaurants in KATA town.

ideal for those wanting to get away from it all
the view was amazing
room very spacious and clean
staff very friendly and helpful
9.3
From the moment we arrived we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Although some don't speak English very well, when we did have a question they didn't understand another staff member would help promptly. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with an amazing view of the water. The room was clean and spacious. Since the hotel is away from the main strip of Kata Beach it was very quiet at night. We enjoyed the food and enjoyed our complimentary Thai massage at the hotels spa. Although you have to walk down dirt steps to get to the beach it didn't bother us but for those who are older and not as fit it may be a problem. Overall we had no issues and would recommend The Aspasia to those who are looking for a bit of luxury away from the busier areas of Phuket.

Great hotel and location
Big room and beautiful view
9.7
The room is big and spacious with a great balcony and beautiful view. The breakfast buffet is excellent and other food is good too. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The pool and spa are very nice. The lounges are very comfortable. The beach is down the hill but the water is clear and calm. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Phuket. I also love Kata Beach.

Reasonable, but there are better ones out there..
refurbished room, with simple and clean decor.
very good service, for the entire team there, including the maintenance people.
room service was good.
on high grounds, hence it's actually tsunami safe, and in fact it is juz beside the tsunami evacuation point.
6.7
We were upgraded to suite, as the room that we booked for was full. But the layout of the suite was a little strange. And there was no TV in the room! The steps leading to the room was very inconvenient. The mosquitoes at the pool truly scared us away! A steep slope up the hill, to reach the hotel. inconvenient for us to be moving around the area.
It was still a pleasant stay, as company was great! but, when we return again the next time (to phuket that is), we will actually choose other hotels.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Generally transport around is not cheap. And we compared, and realized that the fare offerred by the hotel taxi is actually pretty competitive. So, if you do not have much time, hotel taxi is ok. There is no need to go around bargaining.
