Bird Hostel
Location very good, receiption are friendly.

Booking from Agoda web we expect quality but it turned out otherwise...Too basic to be catogorised under hotel catogory.
No phone in the room,no gym, no swiming pool.. aminities like shampo, soap, showel gel provided are of low quality.
Overall, its not worth at the price paid. Very much cheaper price available at next door.

Nightlife is just outside hostel

Typical room, clean but small
- clean
- affordable
- quiet, although very close to the beach and bang la road (if you're into that)

I stayed 2 nights at the Birdcage. The actual bed/mattress/sheets were good and clean; we got fresh towels everyday. It was also quiet so we didn't get woken up by the noise from Bang La Road (surprising, considering how close it is to the road).
I did put chocolates in the fridge which "disappeared" when I went to get them after our room was cleaned/tidied up after the first night. However, there is an in-room safe which I made good use of.
Hope you don't mind walking up flights of stairs to your room (if it's on the 4th or 5th floor), as there are no elevators. A bellboy did bring my bags up to my room upon arrival though.

The hotel has great location. Just stones throw away from Bangla Road. The hotel is new and everything is in tip top shape. There wasn't any elevator there, so you're stuck using the stairs. There is free internet and the price is great. It's alomst like low season prices in the high season. There is not any pool in theis hotel, but at this price range you can't really expect one. One dat they forgot to clean the room. Other than that it was a great deal for a great hotel.

Make sure you request a room on lower floor....walking up 6 flights of stairs sucks! The location was perfect down side street, around the block from great nightlife. Price was good as well. Staff were very helpful and nice.

The birdcage... The place to stay in Patong 100%
Its very clean, well looked after, the staff are brilliant and we are so happy that we stayed there. The price was great too, we had a supreme room. Top banana!

This hotel was fantastic, it is in a great location and if you ever need anything your only a minute's walk away. I would definitely stay there again and i would recommend anyone young or old to stay there too.
Restaurant Tip:
The food at the local restaurants is amazing. Its cheap and fills a gap nicely. 1 minutes walk from the birdcage.

Right place to stay
Reasonable price; right in the centre of Patong beach, close to all amenities; spacious and clean room with aircon, TV, WIFI, fridge.

Top location in the centre of Patong beach -- Only 100 m away from Rat-U-Tit road, which is the most busiest road with bars, restaurants, shops, travel agents and the big Jungceylong Department store and Carrefour supermarket are nearby.
Room is spacious, clean with king size double bed, clean linen. Aircon, TV, fridge and free wireless internet work well.
Posh and Tom working at the reception desk were very friendly and helpful. I had no problem to communicate with them because they speak good English.
The complains I had: Bathroom has no shower screen and you have to walk up to 3rd floor with no lift.

Very near to the beach like few minutes walk. Near to everything.Basically its in the centre of patong beach where you can actually get everything.From food,to activities and even shopping!!The room was very clean.The staff was very friendly!Didnt expect would be that great but indeed it was!My airport transfer was handled carefully by the staff there.They even knocked on my door to check whether im all set to depart back home to my country and even waited till my taxi was out of sight.I really appreciate all the effort they've done.
Travel tip:
Basically when you arrived at phuket international airport you can get an airport transfer outside the arrival hall on a minibus for 150 bath which sends u directly to your hotel.compared to taxi which cost 600 bath and airport bus although its cheap but you have to make your way to find your hotel since its a direct bus to phuket town.For sea-sports activities try asking around for the cheapest package they offered you and be sure to ask how many capacity per boat you are going to take because you dont want to suffocate with many tourist in one boat.Shopping is within the hotel.cheap stuff everywhere.dont forget to bargain for your best price!

it seems newly open or renew somehow, looks very nice.toilet very clean too, provide 2 bottle free water in the fridge. you can leave you bag in the lobby w/o being charged. people there very nice too. good location, next to tiger bar in the lane and just cross the stree you will see "let's relax", just turn right a lot of small sea food restaurant
