I was overalll very impressed with the entire stay. The hotel staff was very professional and as far as security they lock the hotel down in the evenings.Keeping all no belongers out which made me feel very secure. The only thing I would have liked better is if they would have had served breakfast or brunch. The hotel does not have a pool but the beach is within a 7 min. walk. I would recommend this hotel as its well with in budget for the cleanliness of the hotel.
Nightlife Tip:
Very close to Bangala Rd quick walk to the beach.

overall it's a nice experience staying in Bird cage as we dun stay in the room for the whole day as we spent most of the time out patong beach shopping area and use the room for showering n resting only. Compare to other guest house, this one is newly renovated, staff is nice.

I highly recommend any interested holiday-ers to book a Superior room at this guesthouse! I was in contact with the hotel from right after the booking process, and from the emails, I already had the feeling that I wouldn't have to worry when I arrive. And this proved to be true right to my departure. From our arrival late at night, the helpful and friendly staff, especially Tom, was ever informative and eager to make sure our stay was a great experience. When asked, Tom had an answer and advice to all our touristy enquiries. The hotel is just 10 minutes away from Bangla Street, and about as near to Patong beach, but still remaining far enough to be quiet throughout the night. Even our local friends commented at the rate we got and how nice the guesthouse was! And there's free wifi too! Only complaint is that there is no kitchen at all, so food must be sought elsewhere, but being adjacent to Rat-u-thit Rd, finding food really isn't an issue at all.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Joiners are not levied a fee, but have their IDs checked-in for your security, a definite bonus.

Bird Cage guesthouse is great place to stay for those who need very good comfortable sleep right in the middle of main attractions of Patong beach. Only a few mins walk to Bangla Road (nightlife street), Jungceylon (one of the biggest shopping malls), and the beach. The rooms are very new and clean.
Nightlife Tip:
Be sure to check out Bangla Road.

This is a decent place if you are looking for a budget stay in Patong. Its far enough away from the party street to not hear too much noise, but there is a lot of construction going on nearby so you cant sleep in much. Overall worth the price, although the internet wasnt working when we were there.

No internet, but nearby there is an internet cafe for 50 baht/hr

Nice friendly staff, cheap place has aircon, fridge, nice big double bed, close to all the action. Moped renal 10 metres down the road for 150bht. There is free wireless, and the hotel is new so all rooms, lobby etc are very clean. there is an electronic safe in the rooms which is easy to use and more convenient (no keys to lose).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
you can haggle phiphi island trips down to 1000bht.

There is plenty of good shopping and excellent food nearby. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Great hostel, what feels like a hotel.
Check-inn was very smooth, however they don't accept credit cards, only cash.
The reception is a bit simple. The rooms are ok. Good size, good tv, beds and very good pillows. The bathroom is simple, but clean. They only problem is the old aThai tradition of not having shower curtains.
They have free wireless internet for your own laptop, with a decent speed.
The location is perfect. 5 mnutes to the beach via a typical thai or sureback alley. 5 minutes to the entertainment street Bangla Rd.
They give a free two hour late check-out.
