Lovely hotel and very helpful staff
Lovely new hotel, very clean, absolutely amazing view from our spacious room. The two beds suited our family with little children very well.

From Phuket airport we travelled straight down to The Chalet Panwa. We had a hotel transfer organised but on ringing them, they told us to get our own taxi to be able negotiate directly with the taxi driver. No problem except that I had understood that I would pay an extra amount to have that hassle taken out, but it worked out fine anyhow. The hotel itself is brand new, no mould stains at all in the bathroom, the quality I would expect of a five star with 2 star facilities. The shower is directly next to the toilet but this didn't bother us as long as the lid was down to prevent the toilet from getting wet during a shower. The beach is very ordinary, while our little girls were swimming we noticed a lot of broken glass. The cold water pool at the sister resort is divine and very refreshing, a little cold to get into and you can't stay in it for more than an hour or so but they suited us as it meant that it was easy to encourage our pre-schoolers to get out. Staff were very helpful and attentive to help us to take the shuttle to the pool. The girls enjoyed the fun adventure of sitting on the seats at the back of the ute, Thai style. We were the only guests staying at the hotel but that was a bonus, the staff were lovely and even gave the girls a bowl of ice cream as a treat at one point. Our little girls also loved playing in the sprinklers in the early morning. We spent two nights here which was enough to explore the local area. We didn't have a car, but noticed that there was a playground a 2 minute drive away.
Restaurant Tip:
Seabreeze and Sawasdee were two very fine restaurants that I would highly recommend. Both have Western options as well as fabulous Thai food. We didn't eat any food in the hotel and breakfast was not available at the hotel.

Brand new and a great one night stop

We stayed here just one night. It was perfect for us. Brand new, complimentary wi fi and clean. Not with ooms that you would spend much time in. BUt for a good nights sleep - perfect. The place has a motel feel to it and is on the see. Not much around and a little of the beaten track
Nightlife Tip:
NOt much going on a night. Would suggest having access to transport to get around. Really a one stop place for a pause.
