Very nice, but to call it "fantastic" is a stretch

our room was located in the three story building just behind and to the left of the check in area. it was less expensive than some others, but there were some drawbacks. 1) no elevator to the 3rd floor...(well in asia they might call this the 2nd floor eg: ground, 1, 2). we had to walk up 23 stairs, down 7, then back up 20 more. i think all the other buildings have elevators.
the threads on the handle of the water faucet in the bathroom were stripped and it would keep falling off and into the sink. the furniture is rather spartan. there really aren't any drawers to put your clothing. i mentioned this to the sales representative and she admitted hearing this before. but it is clean and i believe we got at least a good value for our dollar. another drawback can be the noise as it's close to the go-go clubs and nightlife.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Rent a motorbike at the beach. It is not expensive and is a good way to see the island.

can't be more central in Patong

Very nice hotel but unfortunately city view was a direct view to construction site. XMas dinner which was mandatory was not a nice experience as the food was cold and the show was way too noisy.
Nightlife Tip:
Soi Bangla around the corner, so plenty nightlife

breakfast prices are crazy (better don't take breakfast there). avoid taking reservations or taxi from there too, just go outside.
people smiling, service oriented.
however we had some problems in the room and asked, they didn't come to fix it. finally we changed room.
problem or big plus is hotel is next to busy nightlife street with plenty of gogo bars. this is a good point or a bad point for you, depends your situation.
beach is not far.

Good 4 star hotel close to Bangla rd yet noise at night was acceptable. we stayed 8 nights ,very clean hotel and they upgraded us with 3 rooms next to each other as there was 6 of us travelling. Agoda rates were better than advertised by hotel. Unfortunately we were going to extend beyond 24 dec however chose not to as the Hotel wanted compulsory 2200 bht per person for xmas dinner whether you attended or not. Being 6 people that was too expensive considering I can feed family for bht at number 6 restaurant
Restaurant Tip:
Number 6 restaurant. Turn left off up bangala rd then left at end of bangla and walk 100 meters. Opposite PS Hotel. Great cheap food. Actually excellent foof at about mx 200 bht head

We stayed about three nights in this hotel. It has a nice pool, amazing room which is very much advanced were every light works on some button. The bathroom is so spoiling, it contains a shower and a bathtub. The Hotel itself is in great location. almost at the beginning of bangala road, where all the bars an parties.

great location, at the northern end of patong beach, a starbucks and mcdonalds at the end of the driveway easy walk to beach & markets. 200m from all the night action of bangala road. the rooms were clean & fresh. the bed was comfortable which was a nice change. we ended up spending 9 nights here all together instead of 3! the staff spoke good english and were very helpful. the breakfast was quite good in comparison to a lot of places, although if its not included in the room price its very expensive. the only downfall was that we could still hear quite a bit of noise from bangala road, just enough to wake me up & if other guests were noisy coming home, it was very loud. but when you can sleep all day on the beach it doesn't really matter. i would caution against the plaza rooms if you want a good nights sleep as these are right up against bangala road.
Shopping Tip:
If you are looking at brand name items, ask for brands you don't see on display in the store, you will be shown a whole new secret area! & don't be afraid to walk away from bargaining if the price isn't what you want, especially for clothes, they will chase you, or you will find the same thing cheaper somewhere else.
