Overrated and overpriced, not ideal for solo traveller, even though close to beach it felt like it was in the middle of nowhere and taxis expensive. Could do with a bar.

The hotel is just good as bedroom.
large room, big lcd tv with international channels and near pristine beach.

The road leading to hotel is under repair or construction. It is muddy but fortunately we rented a car, it will be messy if one needs to walk to the beach which is 200m away.

The Kris resort hotel is very nice place to stay near Pang Tao beach. Beautiful sand beach with different restaurants, caffes, hotels and shops is in a five minutes walking distance from the hotel. Hotel is clean, japonese style, service is very friendly and it has two big pools and a small pool also for kids. The place is quiet and deserves it´s stars.

Overall stay was good, reception staff could have been a little friendlier but I've seen worse. Definitely head to surin beach instead of bang Tao...both are great bit surin a little nicer with more character on the streets. Pool could have done with a clean, I didn't once see anyone use it.
Travel tip:
Surin beach for something more relaxed, or bangtao for something a little more upmarket & expensive

i would say i expect a little more for the price and in the name of "phuket". as a resort it doesnt feel like one. and the hotel room is small, the bath tube drain wasnt working, ask for exchange they said it's full.....it's not too bad, cozy room, wooden floor and so. but not as big as what they shown in the picture for sure.

not much to do arround, not even proper restaurant

Hotel was quite nice, there were some cockroach outside the hotel in the yard at night. But NOT inside the rooms and etc. You can feel the "wet air" there - but it is not the problem of hotel i think, there is an island - so maybe it must to be so. Room was very comfortable, with an amazing balcony. Stuff were trying to be very helpful, but they could not speak english very well. It wasn´t the most expensive hotel in Bang Tao and the most cheapest as well - but we enjoyed our stay there. By the fact - the owners are very friendly.
Restaurant Tip:
there is a wonderful bar "nok & jos" near by the hotel. delicious food and amazing environment. you should absolutely visit that bar there you can also order cheap day trips.

Well located hotel close to the beach. Rooms clean and adequately furnished, some fittings of poor quality. Friendly and helpful staff however not always understanding English. Breakfast limited. Nice pools but preferred the beach, a pleasant resort. Some rubbish littered around the surrounding areas.
