the rooms are big, conveniently located with easy access to food, massage and shopping.
the not so good side of this hotel is that it is located next to a happening pub and the music makes it difficult for your sleep.

The swimming pool was very good and secluded and quite..the breakfasts had plenty of choices..the room was clean and good views...The hotel staff were as helpfull as you could wish for with smiles all round..All in all I will stay here again when in Phuket next

get a taxi from outside the hotel....a lot cheeper

Lovely Great Location Hotel w/small room
Convenient Location with friendly staffs

Even with not so great condition room but we do have a
great view from the window and all hotel's staff that we met
all very friendly and helpful with smile on their faces. It's
worth the money we paid for.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
From this hotel we can either travel by foot to the nearby
shopping and just across the street food stall are great and
cheap or we can take the local bus from the busstop across
the street to a city tour for the price as cheap as Baht.10 per
person. The Bus is pink color, and it goes round the city.Also
we can walk to the old town.

Old hotel far away from the beaches.

The room was quite old, the bathroom could be renovated, but it was ok. The pool is quite nice, but only open until 7pm.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Don't let the strange guys in front of the hotel sell you a trip or taxi ride, they are way more expensive than in travel agencies (e.g. in patong beach). If you wanna travel to a beach, take the bus, 15 min walk from the hotel and only 20baht.

Value for money for category downtown hotel.
Well maintain though hotel is more than 10 years.

I have stayed in this hotel several times and also others like Phuket Merlin, The Pavillion, Downtown Inn, Grand Thavorn. I keep coming back to Metropole. Phuket town has not seen any new quality hotels for many years now. Amongst the lot, this hotel beats them all.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Great location if you are there to witness the annual Phuket Vegetarian Festival.

Centrally located in Phuket town. Hotel amenties look outdated. Staffs were alright - 3/5. Breakfast was alright - 3/5. Cleaniness is where the hotel has to look into. Overall 3/5 in satisfaction.
