Modern hill top hotel
Clean, steep hill, and nice design
6.3
Comfortable enough, not too busy, very happy with the front staff, they are very helpful but the restaurant staff is lack of service mind. The lady who worked that morning wasnt happy, she couldnt deal with group of customers that turned up at the same time for breakfast. The restaurant without air condition is not suitable for family and young children.

we stayed with three young children. The hotel looks really nice and it is pretty new. We stayed at two bedroom pool villas. Everything is prefect. We had a great time over there. We choose this hotel is because of its location. We wanted to go the Catch Club so the location is pretty close.
The other facilities are not bad. But it was sort of isolated and hard to find the restaurants to eat around there. The kids like to pool and enjoyed their time.

Good ambiance but bad location
6
This hotel has a very nice ambiance. You can lay around the pool or sit in your room the whole day or look at the smiling faces of the staff ... Anything more expected from this hotel will be disappointing. We had booked a grand cozy deluxe room. The rooms are really big and are exactly like shown in the pics. But there were many down sides to this hotel...like usually only one room is provided with a shower gel and not the other one..which was wierd. I am not sure if they had a staff shortage or the staff is usually so slow..coz any order would take minimum 1 hr. And the funniest thing was during check out they actually check if all the towels, slippers, shower gel etc are in place...and if they cant find any of these things..they actually inquire with you..!!!!...Pathetic...
Pros: 1.) Breakfast is ok
2.) Ambiance is good
3.) Rooms are very big
Cons: 1.) The location is at the top of a hill. If you want to go down ..you wont find any vehicle to do so. We were with a 8 month old baby..so walking all the way down was not an option for us. The hotel would charge min 200 Baht to go to Surin beach !!!!..which is only 5 min down the hotel !!! So can imagine how much they would charge for other locations !!
2.) Room service is not that efficient. The rooms were never mopped properly...
3.) The hotel does not have a 24 hr room service facility like other 5 star hotels..so were stuck without food or any staff to help when we tried to order dinner after 9 pm .
4.) The down going road from the hotel does not have any street lights . This makes it all the more difficult to take that road at night..
5.) The kitchenette is for namesake..they don't have any utensils to cook except for one kettle and some spoons
Overall would not recommend

Good value for a group of people
5
Booked 2 units (3 bedroom pool suite and a 2 bedroom suite). Both units were in the main building of the hotel. It's a hike up from the street but if you rented a car, it shouldn't be a problem.
The pool suite needs to have better railings for small children as they can fall through and drop 2 stories down... No so safe!
Breakfast was included but it wasn't that good and selection is very limited. The pool suite came with a kitchen but there were no cooking utensils or cookware to cook with.
The pictures are overrated and the hotel definitely doesn't look as good as the pictures.
The beds are hard so if you need a softer bed, go find a better hotel.

This unit is a loft unit with a bedroom upstairs and the master bedroom downstairs. Unfortunately the master bedroom is right beside the living room so it was very noisy if someone was watching TV.
Breakfast was included but it wasn't that good and selection is very limited. The pool suite came with a kitchen but there were no cooking utensils or cookware to cook with.

Hotel Feature Tip:
Rent a car and come here yourself. Don't take a taxi.

Cute Boutique
Not an actual resort and not a lot of rooms so more private
7.7
Staff were not too good at English which is not a good thing when most of the people staying there are Australians. My daughter cut her toe of the broken tiles in the pool, they really did not know what I was talking about and nor did they fix the problem or say anything to me. Breakfast was not really any good and the food was cold. Overall thought the rooms were amazing, really good value for money there.

A place to lay back but very quiet location
Rooms are generally huge, breakfast are simple but not bad with variety on daily basis...
7.3
The hotel is situated on steep slope and over seeing a small quiet town. It is not near any great restaurants or shopping area. Hence, visit this hotel for pure relaxation by the pool and cook your own meals will be just fine. However, the kitchen does not equip with sufficient pots and pans whereby you need to borrow when you arrive to secure one. Please do not expect fully equip kitchen to display your culinary skills or convenience such as micro-wave.
There is one major flaw for pool access rooms - little or no privacy as anyone walking along the pool can have clear visual of the activities in the room unless you hide yourself in the bedroom with curtain drawn. If possible, request for the room 308 as it has better privacy as compare the rest of the pool access rooms as it is situated right at the corner of the stretch.
I thought the breakfast is not bad for a boutique hotel like Quarter as there are different menu on daily basis with a mix of Thai and Western. Of course, it does not have the 5 star hotel spread but I like what was served over the 7 days I have stayed.
Restaurant Tip:
Catch Club which is down by the Surin Beach has good service and quite good food. The eating area is just by the beach where the sea breeze is strong and relaxing to watch the waves coming to the shore.

One of the worst choice i have ever made
2
No food available, the housekeeping was tardy and didnt even appear for a day or 2, basic cooking utensils re not provided as promised, have a steep slope that is very dangerous to kids or eldery, security and privacy was nonexistence as there are no curtains in the living room and just a small metal key to lock up your unit
Travel tip:
Well, sometimes being cheap does make my life miserable

Huge rooms, Nice, Clean, Quiet, Fantastic modern furnishing, Nice swimming pool

It's nice.... had a great stay.
Only issue was out of the way from Patong, and most tour guides charge extra.
