Classical hotel in the heart of gay quarter

The hotel is located in the center of the alternative life style, if you don't mind that's good. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast includes continental, American, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Chinese style. But it usually is very crowded and food quality is not top. If you stay a few days you will get tired of the breakfast.
The pool is very nice, not big, but well serviced.
The room service was fine, but the quality of food they serve in room service menu was not good, considering so many good eateries around the hotel. I chose to stay on a high floor to avoid mosquitoes, which was very nice. Room service is efficient. 24 hours hot water supply seems to work fine.
We had a balcony facing the water, which was really lovely especially during the Christmas and New Year's eve to watch fireworks.
It must be mentioned that if you stay over Christmas or new year's eve, you must attend a gala dinner costing about
per person. It usually costs about t per person in a top top restaurant in Phuket with wonderful meal. So I wondered how many lobsters they are going to serve to fill this . The dinner turned out to be just like any other buffet, same quality same food

Pleasant stay in Paradise
Proximity to the beach, night life (walking street) and the busiest place in phuket island. Pleasant staff and a good breakfast buffet to start the day. Ample parking space incase u rent a car during your stay in phuket.

Right place to stay incase you are travelling in a couple or with kids. However those wanting to find more solitude should look up other hotels near kata and kamala.
Restaurant Tip:
Donot go for the sea food served in the food courts right across the hotel - they at times serve stale food if u are not careful - walk up to the beach - there are numerous joints preparing the food right infront of you - fresh

My experience at Paradise
Services is good.
Location is perfect.

We arrive at the hotel rather late about 2300hr and were warmly greeted by the hotel staffs.
We stay at Paradise for 3 nights and everythings were perfect as expected. The most unpleasant thing is that the water form the tap is browish and we therefore did'nt use the bathtub which my 10 yrs old son enjoy most. The other downside is that the hotel do not provide transfer to the airport.
Travel tip:
Good view at top floor.

Had a prompt check in, reasonably clean rooms overlooking the sea, good buffet breakfast and warm welcome.
There are ample space for parking incase you are renting a car during your stay. And ofcourse the night life is just few steps away though you dont hear the blaring music etc... quite a pleasant and peaceful stay ...shall return again !
Restaurant Tip:
Before choosing any cuisine for the night, just take a way along the patong beach side, the shops just across the street infront of the hotel, donot sell fresh sea food compared to those across the beach.

A great stay!
We stayed in the Royal wing. Fantastic room. Clean and decorated with style. Friendly staff. Pool was beautiful - swim up bar was a plus!

We stayed in the Royal wing for 5 nights. The room was beautiful. We spent many hours drinking cocktails by the pool - very relaxing. Staff were friendly and most helpful. Drink prices were reasonable and we made the most of 2 for 1 happy hour from 5 to 6pm. The only gripe I have is that it took so long to collect your food at the buffet that you ended up eating a cold breakfast.Would definitely stay here again.

A secret Eden
Excellent accommodation, super clean, modern, centrally located but not too close to the 'local entertainment'. Several pools including a spa pool in lush grounds. The most attentive staff that I've ever had the please of being cared for in the category. This is my third stay with the whole family (18-61yrs) and I will be returning. Top of the line, no corners cut - you would be a fool to fall for poor imitations.

I stumbled on the RP several years ago during a particularly busy period in Phuket - I couldn't possibly do 4*.... I ate my words and several large breakfasts, rarely left the pool during the day time and was welcome then and now by name by the attentive staff. A 4* hotel, with 3* prices yet offering 5* service.
Nightlife Tip:
The Paradise complex is home to the local gay community. Nothing raunchy, pushy or obvious, but worth noting. Several laundry shops too at BARGAIN prices. I go home with laundered and ironed clothing - bliss!

A Comfy stay
It's within walking distance to the Bangla street and Jungceylon! It's only a 10-15 mins walk to the beach! Tour agencies are scattered all over. Just need to pick your best deal!

The hotel has it's own transfer from hotel to the beach at specific hours. It's hard to catch the right time though. Since the location is at it's best, you may just stroll along the busy and interesting streets (one will never get bored!) while walking down to the beach! One thing that I always have an eyesore looking at is the lift. The glass wall was filled with bird droppings all over. The precious view of the sea was spoil by the dirt! I may consider choosing this hotel again if the conditions are much improved.

The Royal Paradise Hotel Phuket is a great hotel - the room was finished to a good standard and the pool is very very nice. The room has everything that you would want and expect . The hotel is positioned in a great location - near all of the nightlife, however there can be a lot of noise from the bars that are near the hotel. I would certainly recommend the hotel
