Great hotel, good location (read below) but noisy

We had a mistake with the reservation (own fault) yet they (the hotel) take care of us and gave us better rooms :)
The rooms are big and prity and it's a beautiful hotel, i like the pool very much (have a great design and bar inside the water).
The location is good, very close to the center, but it's on a street full of gay bars (it's not a problem unless your homopobic :))
BUT because the hotel is close to the center it's very NOISY at night. my girl had problem to get sleep.

Reasonably priced hotel with good services
Strategic Location - close to Patong Town and Beach

The hotel is strategically located in the heart of Patong town. Just a 10 minutes walk to the beach and 5 minutes walk to the Bangla Road. Along the street, there many shops selling souveniers like t-shirt, shawl, shoes/sandals, etc. It is also 20 minutes walk to Hard Rock Cafe.
The room was comfortable enough for the priced that we paid. All the basic necessities were provided. However, there were a few things that makes us uncomfortable, the room was quite smelly, like there was not enough ventilation and the bedsheet was a little bit itchy to sleep on.
If you are an early sleeper, opt for rooms at higher level because it will be very noisy at night, particularly if you are staying at Paradise Wing facing the main road. There will be many live shows (Ladyboy, Tiger Show, etc.) along the road until late at night.
The lady at the information & tourist counter was really friendly and helpful. She was a local muslim and was kind enough to explain to us where to get cheap and good halal Thai food in the vicinity of our hotel area. Her muslim name is Sharifah. Unfortunately we did not have the time to go to the place she recommended. But we found a very good halal place to eat, somewhere near Patong Top. The Thai food was delicious and reasonably priced. In the Patong area there are a lot of halal food, you just have to be smart not to pick the expensive ones.
Shopping Tip:
Go to Patong Top (in front of hard Rock Cafe) instead of shops along the main road. The price is slightly cheaper and more options. If you go in the morning, when they just opened they shop, chances of bargaining to the lowest price is higher because in their culture, the first customer entering their shop and buy things give them good luck for the day

best location beatiful resort

Best location right near banglar road great for nightlife and close to beach beautiful gardens and best pool huge pool great lookout and restaurant with beautiful views. Second time there and will always return friendly staff close to gay clubs and gay friendly lots of restaurants and massage parlors down the entrance ways to resort. Resort is back from the street which is good.

The right choice and worth to stay in Patong. Very strategic place. Surrounded by many bar, restaurant, tour agency, 7Eleven, shopping area and massage centre. We booked for superior room and was upgraded to deluxe. Very nice bathroom and spacious. The room amenities was good. But the staffs do not speak English that well.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you want to take some tour package to island, better to book a room without breakfast.

great staff but bad location

Very nice room and staff were fantastic. one slight problem its right in the middle of boy town which i was un-aware of. I am young and quite handsome well thats what they say so as you can imagine i was grabbed and hassled everytime i walk in or out of my hotel. This was alright at fist but i soon got sick of it. so sorry but i will find a nice hotel in a better location. But if you like the sound of all that its definatly for you. Have fun.
