Tranquil stay on Nai Harn Beach

The Royal Phuket Yacht Club is a lovely hotel far from the crowds, but it's not isolated. Lots of little restaurants are right near the beach, and others are just a short walk away. The rooms are spacious and they all overlook the tranquil sea. It's a very calm setting and the beach is great for swimming and snorkeling. The hotel is a little expensive, but it's worth it for the relaxing views!
Restaurant Tip:
M&M is about a 10-minute walk away and has fantastic pizza!

This is a hotel for take a break after busy work. Very peace. Hotel staff always gentle and care. I like that there are some restaturants around the hotel although they are a bit expensive but fresh seafood and tastety.

It's not often you walk into a room and it exceeds your expectations but that's what happened at The Royal Phuket Yacht Club. Everyone - including the gardeners, waiters, reception, security, pool and beach staff - was well presented, friendly, courteous and helpful. The food selection, presentation and quality was excellent. We enjoyed the quiet sedate lifestyle and enjoyed hours on the beautiful beach. We can also recommend the hotel as an excellent wedding venue.
Travel tip:
Allow more than 90 minutes for airport transfers

this is somerset maugham on a beautiful beach. the same atmosphere as the great hotels of asia - raffles, oriental, peninsula - with great food and service.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
dont do the phi phi island trip. crowded and formulaic.

Beautiful location but isolated

I had originally booked the Royal Phuket Yacht Club for 6 nights but ended up staying only one night. The hotel is in an isolated part of the island. You cannot really walk to restaurants or nightlife. This hotel is better suited for those who want a very quiet getaway. Although the room had a lovely view. Additionally, the staff was generally unhelpful, for example refusing to call a taxi to the hotel and instead suggesting we walk down to a "taxi" stand (which is really just some guy who decides to use his car as a taxi that day) to get service.

The location is beautifull,and the beach is very nice.
It is not as busy as some other places but if you are looking for total relaxation this is the right hotel.
Room was nice and clean, just the bed was a bit wobbly.
Staff is extremely friendly and helpfull.
Near by about 3min drive towards Kata there are lots of places to go on elephant trekking which is great.
there are little restaurants outside of hotel where the food was good.

go elephant trekking it is great experience

Before we left everybody raved about this hotel but unfortunately it did not live up to expectations. It proudly displays its 5 star award, but we have stayed at 3 start resort at Kamala Beach that offered better facilities & service. It is starting to show its age & needs a refurbishment if it is to compete with similar resorts.

Nice hotel but getting old

Our stay was during the low season. Only 1 restaurant was open and the weather was not so good.
The hotel is pleasant anyway, with nice bedrooms, clean bathroom, and good bed. The cleaning ladies are coming 3 times in the room to make sure everything is ok. A fruit basket was available at our arrival in the room and 2 bottles of complementary water were available et replaced by a new bottles each time the cleaning ladies were coming in the rrom.
The personel is pleasant and helpful (as usual in Thailand). The private beach is good but can be small if the hotel is full (was not the case for us).
Te breakfast was good with fresh fruits, cheese, ham, eggs (need to order because prepared on-demand), etc!
We didnt face any problem and we recommend this hotel even if it needs to be a bit refreshed.
Restaurant Tip:
The restaurant in the 4 seasons next door is good and really cheaper. As well, dont take taxi (very expensive), use the motocycles (300baths per day).

a reminder of colonial days gone by. very grand without being over the top. we were upgraded and had a great room with fantastic ocean, pool, beach views. room had a huge private balcony and seating area that wasn't overlooked from anywhere, with sofas, table and sunbeds. room service was prompt and polite. sunset and happy hour is great to sit in the bar area and watch the ocean. nice restaurant, reasonably priced for a 5 star hotel. however breakfast was average and a little over priced (we chose to have it at the All Seasons hotel nearby). fantastic spa facilities, with wide range of services. free wireless internet throughout. great pool with plenty of seating, umbrellas and staffed full time. the layout of the hotel is great, with tiered balconies all with ocean views and a short walk to a long ocean beach.
