Amazing hotel, great service, a little far out
The ebach is incredible, Stunning rooms, great pool and resort, staff are frendly and helpful
7.3
Had a great stay... I really don't like phuket - I found it dirty and boring, so coming home to an amazing resort at the end of a day really helped. There isn't much around Surin so you are sort of trapped in the resort, but that is not a bad thing because the resort is incredible. The sand on the beach is so white and deep, the water was an amzing colour and it was so inviting. There is a little pontoon about 50 metres out on the beach that you can rest on and the resort offers free kayaks and snoorkle gear which is awesome.
Also, the resort offered free shuttles into Patong beach... so that was cool, except Patong is a hole.
Highly recommend this place... if you are a couple or looking just to sunbake and hang at the beach all day.. if you're looking to spend most of your time amongst the action in the city and Patong then probably look elsewhere because it is a bit far from that stuff. However after my experience in Phuket, if I ever go back, it will be straight to Surin to chill out.
Also, like most places in Thailand, there is a lot of wildlife around.. lizards, massive tropical spiders, loud birds... there is a bit of noice around in Surin so be aware of that!

this resort is absolutely beatiful, in particular the quiet private beach it is situated on.
majority of rooms you can see and hear the ocean from your bed.
the only drawbacks of this hotel is the price, and the amount of walking to your room. It is a good 5 minute walk up and down stairs to get from reception to rooms near beach, so not good for someone with a walking disability.
but it is by far the most relaxing and beatiful hotel we have stayed at for a long time.
The beach is the highlight.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you are looking to be pampered and relax on a quiet beach then this is definately a place to visit. Just get ready for lots of stairs!

Wow - totally surpassed our expectations
Incredible service, fabulous food and the beach is to die for....

We had an amazing 4 night stay here in February 2011. The service and the food were amazing, and the beach is really something else... Quiet, picturesque with clear blue water. The beach is shared with the Aman Puri hotel and doesn't really have any other access which keeps it lovely and peaceful.
Restaurant Tip:
Definitely do the hotels beach barbeque on Saturday night! Taste on Surin Beach is also lovely.

Nice hotel and good location for quiet travelers
9.3
this is a very nice hotel. the complex is very tastefully designed. the food for breakfast and dinner was very good and the price was reasonable. the beach is the selling point as it is very beautiful and cut off from the rest of the other beaches. not a zoo like the rest of the beaches in phuket. the rooms are nice, but the floors are really noisey/squeaky. the hotel is overall very nice, but at per night it is not cheap.

The best hotel we've ever been to!!!
beautiful hotel, english speaking staff, amazing private beach, great breakfast and restaurants, free WiFi in the room
9.7
this was the best hotel we've ever been to! we were upgraded to a sea view room, the room was beautiful and very comfortable, breakfast and other meals were great, free Wifi, nice pool, amazing private beach only for hotel guests, free ping pong, beach voleyball, a lot of sea sport attractions (some free), English speaking staff - very important and comfortable, we loved every second but the hotel has many many stairs in it, more than 100 up and down from the loby, more than 40 to the beach or back, restaurants a bit expensive and because of the location you dont get out to eat somewhere else (unless you have a car), TV in the room a bit disappointing, very small and not located in a good room, all in all - very recommended but mind the stairs..

too many steps to the room...We enjoyed our stay at The Surin Phuket Hotel but the walk to the room was very long. The morning after our stay I noticed some motorbikes very near our room. I was confused...Why were these motorbikes not offered the night before.

perfect spot with beautiful beach
one of the nicest beaches in phuket, the staff very friendly and helpful
9.3
we stayed 9 days in december, weather was not the best these days, nevertheless everyone was happy, as the setup of the hotel with a perfect beach, beautiful pool and friendly staff made us forget bad weather .good brakfast on nice terrace..
nice thing, wifi all over the place..
on the beach locals are allowed to do massages on a much better rate as in the spa in the hotel, ofcourse not same quality, also they sell fresh food and drinks for cheap prices.
if you like to avoid full beaches with no space, the chedi, which is now renamed to " the surin" , is a perfect place
