Very stunning at first glance, but that's all about it
I hoped I booked a Novotel instead
You would love The Taste Phuket, if
1. Street noises keep you satisfied, but you would not make only a single noise yourself (don't even think of watching TV)
2. You don't read, or you love to read with your own flash light
3. You are good at fixing things, in case you can't unlock your door knob or your soap holder just fall apart at a single touch
4. You are totally independent, and you don't expect a single help from the staff
5. All you need is pure bed and breakfast, and not hospitality or a single smile
6. You don't mind unpracticality and malfunctionality as long as it's posh
I wrote on behalf also of my other 11 friends, all of us occupied 6 rooms out of the total 12 rooms of this small hotel.

Great location if you need a central hotel.
Nice breakfast.
Room was a bit shabby and there was nowhere to hang clothes. Lots of road noise in the rooms at the front.
I booked a veranda room for my short trip to Phuket for the Vegetarian Festival. The location is great, just mins walk from the central attractions. The veranda room had its quirks though. The room is large but there is nowhere to store or hang clothes so for 4 days I kept my clothes on the floor. The in-room toilet was a bit odd - just an area cordoned off with a curtain - a bit like a curtain around a hospital bed I thought. The mirror is outside the bathroom area, not above the sink. I felt it was designed by someone who never thought about what it was like to stay in the room. The room door is a large clear glass plate that swivels in the middle and the lock is at floor level - not very convenient either. You have to be very sure you pull the curtain behind the door carefully so that any passing staff or guests can't see you in bed.
The hotel locks the front door overnight and guests don't have a key. This was inconvenient for me as I was leaving before dawn and coming back after midnight depending on what I was seeing in the festival. The hotel's solution was to knock on the door and wake up the hotel staff which made me feel I was an inconvenience to them. All in all I liked the hotel but I didn't love it.

Accommodation is in a great location near the city center, travel more convenient and comfortable walking on the way to diet drinks.
Car no match difficult to waterfront park and footpath to car opposite sides move forward. Time to switch rooms. Not enough light. Noise from the street all the time.
For this reason, will stay at one convenient to everything. But some heavy drinking to be drunk lap to sleep while sleeping to reduce rush hour audio message that Wank eggs outside rooms have balconies installed choose Brazil.Back to more quiet. But not to light just one little rains. Employees not interested as associated jar. Well it is a little tangle of parking. If a page hi NASCAR would have to contend with parking indeed.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Yaowarat Road, near the source and consume drink while boating near a small market. Dim sum is delicious to eat at other morning.

Beautiful room near the old town district.
The Taste of Rain drizzle during Low Season Day rather be lonely. But beauty is also a concern that we want to touch. The hidden room in the tenement house district, a beautiful old town is happening. ็ as building a very beautiful TOSHINO Portugal,. we can walk from accommodation to experience the charm of these buildings closely. People yearning for a past that we call real ultimate.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The most beautiful old city district other.

There are quiet rooms facing the inner courtyard.
I'm not Motzki, but the hotel I will not visit again. After my arrival at Phuket, I am in a room without windows has been referred. -ca. 80cm with the head of the bed of a main road! The thin wall has swallowed zero noise, so we felt that it was on the road. I am friendly to the reception and was first abgebügelt unfriendly. Once I get a little less sanuk in the day had, I was finally in a room overlooking the inner courtyard relocated. Of course, with extra charge! I am after two nights out, even though I had booked several days and had me to a quiet city issued section.
Hotel Feature Tip : another, looking for!
