Great hotel with great menu and friendly staffs...
One of the best gym's in Patong, a great pool, a mouthwatering menu and friendlt staffs

i have stayed at the yorkshire hotel on a number of occasions and the main reason i go back is the overall convenience of the hotel. it's close by the nightlife but far enough away if you prefer a more relaxing time. the gym is great and there's nothing better after a workout to go for a nice swim in the pool. it's not huge, but it's relaxing and comfortable.
the room i booked this time was a double deluxe and was ok. it had no windows and was a bit dark, but was value for money. being on the ground floor was nice for access but was a little bit noisy. the bed was comfortable and it had everything i needed, but after a couple of days, i asked to upgrade to a superior deluxe room and dao on reception was fantastic and arranged it for me with little fuss, adjusting the price accordingly. the new room was excellent, with windows, a small balcony, a sofa, a larger bed and generally a really nice ambiance.
overall, i was very happy with my stay at the yorkshire hotel and am planning to go back again soon.

this hotel is central has very nice rooms the service is second to none and the food is very very good at reasonable prices. From the owner to the maid the staff there are very friendly and more than helpful in every area. The family atmosphere at this hotel makes you feel very very welcome and when its time to leave there is a certain sadness as u have becomeone of the family,i recommend and defnately would stay there on my next visit.
Restaurant Tip:

Decent Hotel
Convenient to Nightlife, Bangla Rd.
7.7
decent would be the best way i can describe my experience at yorkshire. i had no problems at all with the staff. and in fact they helped me book some tours and did a good job. my room was clean and the housekeeping staff were very friendly. the wireless in the hotel works very well and was lightning fast. the restaurant is very good and offers a good variety including thai and western food.
i must say that my stay was good and i would go back to the yorkshire again. however, overall i left the hotel with just a lukewarm feeling. something about the staff just lacked a bit of warmth and friendliness that i've had in other hotels in thailand. its not meant to be a complaint more of an observation. i would stay there again more so because of location that hotel experience.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Very close to Bangla Rd. Shopping, nightlife, restaurants, etc.

Friendly hotel right in the thick of it.
A friendly well kept hotel, right in the middle of everything you want in Patong.

A friendly well kept hotel, right in the middle of everything you want in Patong.
The standard rooms are small and had a window right onto a wall. I moved to one of their large superior suites. Much much better and with daylight through the window.

Great, clean, friendly hotel
Very central location, well sign posted, reasonably prices

We stayed for just one night over Thai Song Kran. The room was clean and bright. However, the air con wasn't very good at all - so make sure you check it while the receptionist is with you to make sure it's fully functional.

Lovely hotel, awesome location
8.3
This hotel is 3 minutes walk from Bangla. The pool is really great and they have a real gym with everything you need to keep in shape while you are away. The guests are mainly British and Australian so I was feeling a little bit by meself at the beginning but at the end it was not that bad. The owner loves his hotel and you can feel it. During the Tsunami alert in April 2012, the staff disappeared quickly but the owner was finally around and really comprehensive about what happened. The lower range rooms are a little bit small and you can hear what is going on the the hallway but you get what you pay for.
Nightlife Tip:
Nice hotel to party in the lobby and to bring friend at night.

Good Service, great location
8.3
If you want to be close to the middle of the action in Patong, then this is a good choice. I had a room in the original building - older decor, but large and comfortable. (A friend had a room in the new wing, more modern, but much smaller - a trade-off) Pool, gym, sauna and steam room were good facilities. free wi-fi excellent. Easy walk to Soi Bangla and also to Jung Ceylon. It's not a quiet resort or beach get-away! Staff were great, friendly and helpful.

the room is small but have everything you need, a small issue is a/c is a bit noisy, although it didn't affect my sleeping.
