Good for Bangla fun!
Location close to Patong's Soi Bangla and the beach
8.3
the yorkshire is a good hotel, conveniently located very close to the main nightlife strip in patong - soi bangla. it is only a couple of hundred metres from the clubs and bars there, and guests can stay for free.
the standard rooms are quite basic, but clean and comfortable. however they do not have safes, so you have to leave valuables in the safety deposit boxes at reception. there is a smallish pool, a good restaurant (nice breakfasts) and bar. staff are friendly and understanding.
Nightlife Tip:
There is an outside bar on the outside of the hotel, facing the road. This is a great place to do people watching, when the party-goers and pros are on their way to and back from the bars and clubs. Order a whisky, smoke a cigar or two and enjoy the view!

Great location but very dark rooms
8.7
I have stayed at the Yourshire Inn now 5 times and this is the first time i have had a standard room and in saying that if that was all they had available i would look else were, the superior rooms are great but the standard rooms are just to dark , the thai staff are fantastic but the english staff are very rude, the pool also the food is very good and only a short walk to bangla, also watch out for the young englishman working there he forgets he is in the land of smiles

Great service, very easy location, good facilities.

the rooms were a little small but adequate. the facilities were perfect. the hotel is located in a spot where you can have a beer and watch everyone going to work.
pool, gym, sauna facilities were good.
overall i would stay there again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Make sure you go see Big Buddha

One of the Best
Freindly service, Nice pool, Great Restaraunt, and a wonderful little outside balcony
9.7
I have been to Phuket about 5 times now, and this hotel was the best I have stayed in. The staff were excellent, the hotel restaurant served a wonderful English breakfast, and the outside balcony in front of the hotel was great for having a drink and watching the sights of Phuket pass on by. The hotel is close to the beach and nightlife but far enough away, that you could come back and relax. It will definitely be staying here on any subsequent visits to Patong beach.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Don't miss the pool at the hotel. It is a wonderful little oasis and a perfect place to relax and have a poolside drink. There is also a dive shop with a pool right across the street if you want to get certified or book a dive trip.

Pefect location for Bangla Road
Everthing is easy; check in and out, room clleaning, providing beer during alcohol bans, staff all very friendly and accommodating
9
Second time I stayed in the deluxe room and now they have put a personal safe in each room which is a big improvement on the old system. Good flat screen tv and fast wireless internet in the room. Swimming pool is ok but I preferred to walk down to the excellent white sand Patong beach. Right by the hotel is everything you need, good restaurants and bars, supermarkets, ATM's, laundries etc. No real downsides, I recommend this hotel.
Travel tip:
Jung Ceylon is just along the road.

What a five star hotel should be like
Great location, friendly and guest friendly
9.3
I went for the large double deluxe: Great space. Well designed rooms.
A window that lets some natural light in but not bother while sleeping. Could do with some good 'shutout curtains' for night owls.
Bathroom is great: water pressure needs some work on some floors/rooms though- just check it's pressure before you move in staff would be happy to help.\some rooms have great water pressure.
Pool is cool! peaceful and elegant.
Restaurant very good at being english with discount coupons for guests too.
Gym is Well equipped.
Service is amazing with more then enough staff to take care of you very well.
Free and Good wifi in the rooms. no laptop no problem; use the free computers at reception...
Guest friendly with a good room safe.
Low season prices have good value.
Nightlife Tip:
Just 2 minutes walk from Bangla road bars.Guest friendly.
always great to keep away from the TukTuk drivers.

OK hotel close to entertainment district
Nice quiet swimming pool in bustling area
6
comfortable but not particularly well furnished. sealed concrete floor and rather basic bathroom]]could be noisy but appreciate close to the entertainment district of patong.
staff friendly and helpful,no lifts but had help with luggage.
