The Yorkshire was everything i was looking for on my stay in Patong. The location was so good I didn't use a taxi or tuk tuk one time while I was there. I could literally walk everywhere I needed to go! The staff was great from the time I arrived until I checked out. They were all extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are extremely nice, clean, and spacious for what you pay (I stayed in a large double deluxe room). The services and the facilities, from the restaurant to the pool, were also excellent, especially for the price. This will be where I stay from now on in Patong.

Great location for partying with friends - not for romantic getaways.
Right beside Jungceylon shopping centre which has many decent local and ethnic restaurants.
Hotel pool is surprisingly deep and fair-sized. Can get overly packed though.
Restaurant Tip:
Must visit is the Coffee Club at Jungceylon - quite reasonably priced authentic Thai food (90 baht for pineapple fried rice) and western food (eggs Benedict with ham is great! properly poached) with modern decor, air-conditioned.

Yorkshire Hotel is located ideally for party-goers, not romantic couples.
The room was a decent size, though the only window looked out into the hallway - but that might be a good thing too as a friend who had the best room had a window to the outside on the 3rd floor, where he could hear noise from the bars till 5am. We were better behaved and stayed out only till 4am.
Talking to reception can be trying but they do try.
The process for getting a pool towel is tedious but perhaps understandable - they want to restrict the number of "unregistered" guests.

We stayed at this hotel for a week, the location is excellent as are the facilities & staff including the cleaners & porters who have to lug everything up 2 flights of stairs as there are no lifts. As you step out of the lobby you are right at the top of Bangla Rd where all the action is. There are many eateries around & next door is Jungceylon Shopping centre, the best one in Phuket.The only negative apart from the absence of lifts is the standard rooms. They are very small but the big problem is the bathroom which has the shower almost over the toilet & no shower curtain so everywhere gets soaked.The deluxe rooms don't have this problem & are very spacious.Iwould definitely recommend them.

For Nighlife and location the Yorkshire is hard to beat. Spot on location!

The homemade Food is excellent especially the Breakfast - unbeatable.
The staff are very friendly and efficient and the Management very 'Hands on' when ensuring your stay is exactly right

Well worth the extra for a superior room. Includes a minibar and a safe missing form standard rooms and all other features (TV bathroom are better. This place is right at the top of Bangla road and is not really aiming for the family market.
