Friendly staff.
Excellent Location.
Nice Pool.
Rooms cleaned to a very high standard.
Every room i have stayed in has been of good decor
If sleeping past 9am then can get very noisy as reception is located directly below 70% of the rooms, also the cleaners although are great fun aren't quiet when making up the rooms again from around 9am.
I have stayed at the Yorkshire Inn several times now the most recent being June 2009 and and have enjoyed each of my stays at this hotel very much.
This hotel has attracted me several times now because of the high standard of friendly staff, its great location, its cleanliness, amenities (free pool, gym, internet) and its competitive price although i fear the later after several visits is soon going to be irrelevant after recent renovation and price rises.
I fear in the future it will out price itself from the personal, friendly, inexpensive hotel i have known it to be. Their are cheaper hotels and guesthouses all around this location and access to a pool for a 150baht a day very close aswell. This hotel is located at the top of Bangla Rd in Patong and quite literally a 2min walk from the heart of the night life. It is surrounded by restaurants, guesthouses, close to a shopping center and is only a 10min walk to the beach.
Travel tip : If your a solo traveller get the shared minibus from the airport to patong for 150baht or £3 saving 450baht or £9. Alot of people dont realise but you can get the minibus on your return trip also just ask any travel tour desk.

The staff was extremely friendly. The food was great. The pool area was phenomenal and the location was perfect. Located right by great nightlife and the beach. Doesn't get much better.
The Yorkshire Inn was truly a great place to stay. Good price and great location. The staff was also extremely helpful with everything. The hotel had wireless internet as well as computers to acess the internet for free. My favorite part of the hotel was the pool area. It was really nice and relaxing. And the location was right in the heart of Patong. If you love the nightlife, this is the place for you. If you love the beach, this is the place for you. If you love great prices for quality stay, this is the place for you.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you have the time, the Phi Phi Islands are a great place to visit. A one or two nights are a must. The island is beautiful. Just a ferry ride. You won't want to miss it.

Middle of action
AC and clean new rooms deluxe side, other rooms didnt look so good.
Pool.
Internet.
Great hotel for guys. Nice pool, near action. Nice place for those who don't like to venture with food or activities as it has everything. But for the other crowd, nice near action, guest friendly.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hong boat trip is awesome but many cheaper competitors, just as good....same boats, same tour...but cheaper.

Great location. Close to everything. Gym, pool, etc.
Poor air circulation in the room
This is the second time I stayed here and it was good. Close to the night life, good food and the staff was friendly. If you are staying in Patong stay here for a couple nights.

Location location location
Cleaning staff and maids loitering in stairwell, mistakes with minibar.
A great boutique hotel, and fantastic value for money. Located a couple of minutes walk from Bangla Rd and Jung Ceylon.
Everything is good, staff generally friendly. Only problem I see is with some of the maids. They loiter around the stairs and heap a lot of the cleaning stuff and dirty laundry haphazardly around the hallways. A real health hazard and eyesore. They are also mistake prone with their minibar restocking and counting.

Spacious apartment
Location
Value for money
Stayed in an apartment this time. Very spacious. The hotel is good value for money and very centrally located, though maybe a bit noisy for families due to its location close to all the nightlife of Bangla Rd.A plus for the single traveller.
Minor repairs needed in the room, doorknob to bathroom broken but not fixed. The cleaning ladies are a bit slack and messy. But will definitely stay again, good hotel otherwise.

great location - justat the end of the action. Quiet - once inside the hotel you wouldnt realise you were so close to Bangla rd, clean, new rooms are modern and serviced daily. staff nice, gym access & pool.Free internet.
standard rooms are standard, and the deluxe rooms are much higher quality. No international phone calls can be made.
This was such a nice suprise. When we booked this hotel we were expecting alot less for such a great price. The location is unbeatable - at the end of Bangla road so it is close to the party street, new boxing stadium and next to a shopping centre. The staff are very helpful and speak good english. We stayed in a double deluxe which was awesome, the older rooms are quite a bit lower in quality so I woudl definatly pay the extra for the new rooms. You get access to the gym and pool, I always cold get on the machines I wanted in the gym and there was always a beach chair available at the pool. There is a free internet service which is pretty fast and was usually available. The restaraunt! we had a 500g T-Bone steak and it rivalled meals we have had back in Australia! and they have australian wine - can be hard to get a nice wine in Phuket but this was good. Overall I would definatly reccomend this hotel - we will stay there if/when we go back to Phuket.
Shopping Tip : There is a new shopping centre half way down Bangla road, it has a bit of everything so worth a look for gifts etc

nice swimming pool good gym facilities not charged for a guest
food too expensive; surcharge and vat added on to the cost of meal
a good hotel very central to all areas i stayed in the new wing, but the food to expensive.patong itself is not much more than an expensive shantytown where you are harassed and molested every five mins to buy things. there are nicer and cheaper places to go to in thailand
Travel tip : close to bangla rd

the hotel is clean. the restaurant is like a 5 star quality.the hotel provides free swimming pool, gym and internet connection.the computer is also provided at the lobby. The staff and manager are friendly.keep it up
the hotel is still using the old fashion door lock.its not advisable to put your valuable inside hotel room.surely the safe is provided at the lobby. The restaurant is not for muslim, the halal food near surrounding is quite expensive
My first visit to phuket. i try yorkshire hotel due to its location and the cheap rate. yes the hotel is definitely in good location, only 5 minutes walk to patong beach.the surounding area is good too. You can find foot massage everywhere at a cheap price.the hotel is next to juncylon (one of the biggest shopping complex), in juncylon there were a lot of activities, i enjoyed gun shooting and watching movie cinema. i can rate the hotel is really value for money
Travel tip : the hotel location is near patong beach. the surrounding is quite busy and also happening. it is better to rent a bike when staying in yorshire hotel.its around 200 baht comparing to rent a car it cost u around 1000 baht.

very nicely decorated lobby which exudes quite a classy feel; the free internet (with 4 computer terminals); excellent location (just 5 min walk from Bangla road and not far from the beach); staff speak impeccable English
the room is a little bit on the small side; the staff were professional but I didn't feel the typical Thai warmth I got from other accomodations.
This cosy accomodation was well worth the amount I paid. For half the price of a backpackers in Europe, I got myself a double room with ensuite, TV and air-conditioning.
Along the same street are several other tourist accoms but none compared to the Yorkshire (although they're just two-thirds its price). Its proximity to the heart of Patong's nightlife - Bangla road - is probably what I liked the most. The party doesn't stop till about 2am so it's very convenient to have your hotel within walking distance if you don't want to pay for transportation (which in my opinion is very expensive in Phuket)
On the whole, two thumbs up!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Merely a few minutes walk away is Patong's Thai Boxing ring where you could catch a live match. Just ask the reception what the schedule is

clean, quiet, close to the beach and super market
the sheet isn't very new. the outside of my room has a kitchen pipe. It is noisy. But because we left room earlier and returned very late. It didn't affect us a lot.
close to the beach, super market but very quiet. the working people there are very nice. The hotel is small but very sweet. I will stay the same hotel next time I go to Phuket.
