clean, tidy, quick check-in and check-out, good staff manner no bathroom supplies, such as shampoo, conditioner, etc we requested non-smoking deluxe room upon booking, but was assigned a smoking room with strong smell. request to change room was refused because of full booking on that day. spray of smell-gone product was suggested but did not make any improvment.

Very Friendly and helpful staff that made us feel comfortable and welcome. Homely atmosphere. We had nothing at all to complain about everything was more than we expected We arrived at the Hotel around 10.30pm and check in was very quick with no complications. The Hotel was very nicely redecorated and our rooms were very spacious. For such a good price the accomodation was surprising. Lovely Pool and Gym area and the staff and owner made us feel very welcome. Always a smile and a hello comming and going from the Hotel. Would highly recomend this hotel for anyone wanting a great Location, good food and a friendly happy atmosphere. Would deffinately stay again next time we visit Phuket. Well done to Paul and all his staff....your kitchen is amazing and spotlessly clean as were our rooms. Much appreciated. You made our stay very enjoyable.
Restaurant Tip : there are some very nice cheap local places to eat in Patong and the Hotel Owner Paul was very helpful in suggesting a few places. Thank you

The staff are very friendly, helpful and approachable. Even other occupants were nice and friendly also. Place also is very close to Bangla Road so it's so close to the night spots and places to eat! We had problems at the start because we were booked at a lower priced room but the staff there (Thanks Ta!) was very helpful and transferred us to a better room. min. 50 words

Free and stable wifi in the room.
Pool was awesome and the gym even better. We only had one problem in one week. That was a rude night member of the staff but we took this up with the manager and ended up with a bottle of champagne in our room together with a personal letter. Overall this was the best hotel experience I've had. The room (large double deluxe) was very nice and by far the cleanest one I've stayed in. Staff was very friendly. The restaurant was very nice with probably the best steak I've had. Almost the perfect hotel in my opinion.
The best thing was probably the prize as we found it through a discount at agoda. Even without the discount it would have been a lot of value for the money.
Restaurant Tip : The Reggae Breakfast at the reggae restaurant just a few metres down the road was pretty good and cheap.

They have a nice pool and a good sized gym. The location is right in the heart on Patong beach so there is plenty of excitement. The staff is friendly and speaks good English. Not much circulation in the room so it got a musty smell after 1 day. The AC works, but would go off when you leave the room so it was always warm and stuffy when I returned. Also, the main door to the room was not secure so stash your stuff in the safe if you're concerned about theft . It was my first trip to Thailand and I will definitely be coming back to this hotel, even when considering the downside of the poor ventilation. Aside from that everything was good. Make sure to venture outside the area. Take a tuk-tuk to the Le Meridian hotel (towards Karon beach). Say you are looking for a friend then head to the quiet and peaceful private beach.
Hotel Feature Tip : Hit the gym then hit the pool early in the day before it gets too hot.

Restuarant, staff and pool The stay at the Yorkshire can only be described a total pleasure. The staff were so helpful and fun to be around. The new restuarant is a wonderful place to dine, if you are looking for Thai or european food both are served and presented very well. Like most places in Phuket european food can be a little pricey, stay with the Thai cusine and the price is exceptional.
Shopping Tip : Janceylon shopping complex within 100mts, bangalore road also within 100mts

Central, pool, friendly, very good food, good prices. This is my second stay at the yokshire inn, the hotel is very central, very clean, nice rooms, nice pool area, excellent gym facilities, the food is very good & good prices. I found the staff at all levels vey friendly, I feel very comfortable at the hotel, & will be booking with the yorkshire inn again in June 2010

Great room, location, staff, food, free internet, great pool area. I found no weaknesses, I really had a fantastic, private stay. Staff was great. This hotel was a fantastic value, my stay was great, room was quiet and extremely clean, comfortable bed, safe in room. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Clean, clean, clean. 4 star and 3 star rate. Food is excellent. I cannot say enough good things. If you are looking for great value..go no further than the Yorkshire.

Outstanding Gym Facilities; Great Location for Nightlife; Fast and Free wifi Internet; Clean Rooms; Responsive Staff. Mixup over mini-bar, but no big deal; Older rooms are small and not as nice as other rooms, but then again, they are quite a bit less expensive; Noise from hall traffic can echo along concrete floors, and street noise, while surprisingly quiet, can nonetheless be heard if a boisterous group of revelers pass by. The Yorkshire Inn provides great value, particularly if you like to be very close to the nightlife yet want a quiet room in a hotel with exceptional facilities. I had 2 different rooms at the Yorkshire. I took an apartment the first night and was very happy. Spacious, comfortable, and very quiet. Even though it faced the street, I did not hear a sound. The next night all rooms except the small rooms were booked so I had to move. The room was clean and comfortable but a little cramped, and I could hear a bit of noise every now and then from the hallway or the street. However, the hotel amenities and location made up for any minor quibbles I had with the room, and I happily booked an additional 3 nights. Plus, the smaller room was significantly less expensive than the apartment and truly a fantastic value. Although I did not eat at the hotel, the food looked quite appetizing and all the diners seemed happy. The restaurant has a well-lit modern design with small flat-panels attached to the wall along seating areas so that you won't miss your favorite game. If you'd rather check out the scene, the restaurant and bar face out to the bustling street. If you are looking for a nice room at a reasonable price, you will be very happy at the Yorkshire, particularly if you value an exceptionally well-equipped gym; beautiful pool and spa; fast, reliable wifi; and a very attentive and professional staff. I will surely stay there again if I return to Patong.
Shopping Tip : Big mall a block away with great shopping, Carrefour supermarket, handicrafts, etc.

The hotel is nicely situated near the nightlife and only a 10 min walk to the beach. It is rally good value for money, with very pleasant swimming pool and a large well-equipped gym. Free internet is also nice... and a very friendly staff. I did not like their billing 'architecnture' .. where the sales value first were added a 10% voluntary tip anf then a 7% tax, with the total highlighted with a marker pen. It is not big money but wrong... so I payd the tax and then added tip afterwards. But staff accepted this, as they just asked how much I will pay. I liked the stay at this hotel very much, mainly due to the nice swimming pool and staff, and also free internet is a pro. The hotel is very well maintained and the food is excellent. Also, the manager show a social interest for the Phuket children - look at the photos you can buy in hotel for support.
I extended my stay at this hotel due to facilities, staff and good location close to Bangla.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The boot selling sightseeing was very good and did match best price I could get other places.

Hotel is in a very central location.In Close proximity to shopping and entertainment area. IN Fact within walking distance to almost everything. Room was relatively clean...and facilities were new
The restaurant had decent food and economically priced.. For some reason it was not very clean and my girl friend had a very bad sneezing bout. There was also a cockroach in the Bath room. Service was nothing to shout about.Just pleasant enough. Need to clean the place alot more thoroughly. We stayed only for a night and booked it because of its proximity to all the entertainmment and shopping centre. The staff spoke English well and even the waiter at the restaurant spoke well and very pleasant. The place wasn't as posh as it appears in the pictures. The room was decent enough with new toilet amenities. However we had to contend with a cockroach in the bathroom. The restaurant has decent food and attentive staff and the individual TV's at each table was a neat touch if you are sports fan wanting to catch ESPN on Mega game nights. Overall it was good bang for the buck ... would recommend it to travellers on a budget.

great location, friendly staff, great pool and restaurant has good food tour counter....you can find better deals around town at other tourism and travel counters. they are all over the place. beds were a little hard in the standard room. When i booked my stay at the Yorkshire Hotel in Patong Beach, i booked it thru Agoda. The reviews were mostly good. I was looking for a hotel with a great location in Patong. Easy walking distance to the beach and Bangla Rd., which is where most of the nightlife and bars are. I would definatley stay here again.
