wonderful leisure resort

We had very good time there. You can see cool looking islands/rocks in the middle of the sea from the room. We rent a kayak from the resort one day and had tough time going back to the resort due to the strong current, and we thought the resort might have an auto-boat, so we called the staff and asked for help. We waited for a long time and didn't hear any sound of a motor boat and almost gave up their help, but finally we saw something with a flashlight came to us and noticed they tried to find us with another kayak... we were very moved by their warm actions...

I stayed in Deluxe room which is the room right next to the beach. You can see the sea view from your bed. It was amazing!!!
I went there in low season, the price is half of high season. It was so value for money.
If you love peacefulness, nature, no tourist crowd. This resort is recommended.

We book a sea view Bungalow. It was a really beautiful bungalow. The view is amazing. Only Problem at the time we have been was, that swimming in the see in front of you was impossible. During high tide, the water was way to hot to swim in. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed our stay, as we rented a scooter for the 5 days, and made some trips to really beautiful beaches.

We had a great stay at the Thwison Beach Resort. The staff are friendly and helpful. They don't all have a great grasp of English, but they try very hard with all requests and are chatty. The bungalow is very nicely furnished in a rustic style The bed is very comfortable, and the outdoor bathroom is a lovely touch. Our only complaint was the fan wasn't too effective so it was quite hot. If you have trouble sleeping, I would recommend a air-con room. The Ocean view restaurant serves delicious, Thai food at a very reasonable price. We were also able to hire motorbikes from them to explore the island. As it is fairly under developed in terms of the tourist industry, this is the best way to get around.

We had a wonderful time and decided to stay for an extra night. We took a trip on a longboat with no extra cost for just the 2 of us. Staff were friendly, calm and had a no hassle approach. Food-Typically gorgeous Thai food and the best spicy Tom Yam soup.
Would love to spend longer, it reminded me o Thailand 15 years ago. If you want a busy, lively resort its not for you. TV in room didn't work but we didn't go to watch TV. Outside bathroom -strangely very pleasant. Need to take cash as ATM's or card machine did not work.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful remote place. The owners are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic. The bungalows are very clean, well equipped and with outdoor bathrooms. Go for one of the beachfront bungalows to enjoy an early morning sunrise and amazing views of the Andaman limestone formations.
Though you can only swim at high tide you can opt for a beautiful walk on the beach when tides are low or simply take a stroll or rent a motorbike to discover the island.

We stayed at the resort for 3 nights and we have been well looked after by the staff. The rooms are tidy, air conditioned and with free wifi. As there are not many restaurant on the island we had most meals at the resort and they were all quite nice. If you are looking for a quiet spot this is definitely the place. Good value for money as well.

Really good bungalows - quiet island

The resort is located on Ko Yao Yai which ist still not very developed - only 5 resorts there. The Superior bungalow was the best bungalow I stayed in during 1 month of travels through Thailand. Really nice front porch with loungers. Shower is sort of outside surrounded by a wall.The free wifi router was attached to my bungalow so I had excellent reception. Only negative was the bad smell of the towels.
Not really the place to go swimming coz of the very shallow water and tides, but I took a scooter and cruised around the island. It was very windy but the sea was nice and calm on the other side of the island (west coast).
