Quick Phuket Getaway
Great location, not too far from airport, and away from all of the noise. Beach is clean and not crowded. Catch, the beach club, is an all day getaway.
7.7
We got upgraded upon arrival to a 1 bedroom residence suite which was spectacular. the suite is large and with a private pool to create an extra secluded environment. complimentary bar included with a great "for purchase" wine selection. The beach club is perfect for the all day beach relaxation with cheaper food options in walking distance. the staff are very helpful. we will stay again. it is just too easy not to.
Restaurant Tip:
try the local thai food on the beach as a great alternative to hotel priced food.

nice getaway
smaller hotel without big resort feel; good food; good facilities; quiet; nice library
7.3
Overall this was a nice stay in a nice hotel. The rooms (stayed in a deluxe) were very spacious and well-maintained. Breakfast (included) had a decent choice of food, though I expected something with a little more variety based on the level of hotel. Food, in general, was of high quality. For the most part, staff were friendly and helpful. I was a little disappointed with Reservations staff and their lack of understanding for our situation leaving Bangkok (we were directly in the protest zone as it was deteriorating and had a tough time leaving) and there was miscommunication that we were cancelling, though we were just notifying them of the possibility (and would have been responsible for one night fee). Anyway, it was not an issue as we made it out safely, but I was a little surprised that there was a 'mai bpen rai' attitude towards it. ... Also when we arrived later that night, we unloaded our luggage from the taxi and brought it to reception (a decent length walk) while 3 reception staff watched -- just a little odd and unexpected as this is supposed to be a higher starred hotel. It was also not a pleasant greeting to a very harried day for us. Another surprise was when there was insect spraying done in the night and the fumes were in the rooms -- not pleasant. It doesn't help that we are pregnant and needless to say, did not want to be exposed to the fumes. Finally the next day we requested a late checkout (just an additional hour) and the hotel could not accommodate. But the manager in charge at the time was kind enough to comp the airport transfer for our inconvenience, which was a nice gesture.
All in all, though the hotel staff could use a refresher training with guest relations, we would stay again at the prices we got on Agoda (~$150/night total with tax for deluxe room w breakfast)

Definitely Would Return
Nice, cozy environment, self-contained resort, friendly staff, good food, taxi-stand right across the road
9.7
This is a nice boutique resort with a nice layout -- rooms placed around a big free-form swimming pool, resulting in every room having a pool-view from the balcony.
The bed's excellent, looks directly into the balcony and into the pool area. The bathroom has full-height glass windows with an external privacy shield so it lets natural daylight into the room from both ends of the room.
Hotel restaurant food is good, better than those in the vicinity. Breakfast food selection is just right too, not overwehlming while food taste and quality is consistent.
Getting to and from the hotel is super convenient as the taxi stand's right across the road.
Restaurant Tip:
Grilled white snapper at the beach club is fresh.

Beautiful Hotel
Great food.
Helpful staff.
Great room and superb hotel facilities.
Seafood BBQ a must!
9.7
Fantastic hotel, expensive- but you get what you pay for. The seafood bbq that happens on a Tuesday and Saturday night is a must. Great wine selection and great cocktails at the "Catch" restaurant. Pool is fantastic but could get overcrowded during peak times. Concierge were exceptionally helpful. All round a fantastic stay only wish we had booked in for longer.
Restaurant Tip:
Catch restaurant superb.

Twin Palms Phuket - Excellent Stay
Stay is Excellent with helpful staffs, stylish interior, nice pool and close aproximity to beach. It also has a nice library that allows you to borrow books and DVDs for free.
8.3
Overall enjoy my honeymoon stay in Twin Palms. We went there with high expectation of the hotel and it did not disappoint us at all!!
Its room is nicely decorated with flowers..staffs were extremely helpful and patient when we ask them about directions and thai language. The depth of the pool is excellent for swimming.. surroundings are quiet, good for a nice gateaway. Its beach club's food is delicious, especially its Pad Thai and Tom Yum Soup.. its taste still lingers in my mouth!!
Twin Palms is very close to Surin Beach, which in my opinion is very much nicer compared to Patong Beach. Its not too crowded too.
Love Twin Palms and we'll be there again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There are lots of Taxis outside Twin Palms and you can bargain with them on the price.

Lovely place. Will definately return
The gorgeous pool, Catch beach club. Lovely loungers!
8.7
i can not say enough good things about the twin palms. the staff were perfectly polite. the hotel looks fab. you start by being greeted in the huge entrance and given a lovely drink and a flower. we were then taken to our room, which was a deluxe king room. the room was quite large and had lots of clever lighting and nice furnature. the balcony was huge and overlooked the lovely pool area. the bathroom was also large but i felt that it could have been better. the bath was looking out on to a huge window that was very very dirty with almost a greeny tinge to it. this was my only complaint. i feel that they could alter this and make a feature of the area.
all in all. one of the nicest hotels i have been to and i will be returning.

Twin Palms Party
Beautiful tropical landscaping. Groundfloor rooms open to pool. Great hotel for meeting up with a group of friends. Very comfortable beds. Day trip on the yacht is a fantastic day and good value. Excellent breakfast.
9.3
We met up with a group of friends for a birthday celebration and found this hotel to be an excellent facility for this event. It was easy to go our separate ways if needed but also found that the environment was conducive to meeting up for meals at the beach club, over breakfast and around the pool; and of course on the yacht day out, which was staffed by the most accommodating and friendly young people; the Yacht lunch was also most delicious. A couple of niggles:- the gym really needs a dedicated staff during 'peak' times to wipe down equipment, keep up the supply of COLD water, control the music and aircon and generally act as if they care. The allocated amount of water per day is quite hard to access (it's easier and cheaper to buy extra at the convenience stores). Our room (deluxe) could do with a place to put the suitcase rather than on the floor in the walk way. The lovely shower gels and creams need better dispensers; i exploded a whole bottle of lotion trying to squeeze it - what a mess!! Many reviewers comment negatively about the distance to the beach - I knew from the websites and our friends that there was a walk to the beach. I actually liked strolling through the park to get to the beach and arriving on the boardwalk/steps looking over the beach and umbrellas is very beautiful. I also like the vendors who come and sell items of clothing/jewellery etc - you just have to learn to 'manage' them without offending them, if you don't want to buy - most are quite good about it. It's worth noting that the beach prices are definitely inflated, even after bargaining; most things were cheaper in Patong, but Patong is not as much fun. The Beach Seafood BBQ Buffet was outstanding (with great desserts!). Our group also bought some lanterns to launch from the beach and a fireworks display ( young men who organize this are very persistent but also very helpful once 'they've got you') - the lanterns and fireworks were quite magical as this is something we cannot do at
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We stayed at this hotel as a group to celebrate a major birthday. One of the days we hired out the yacht for our whole group - it was a fun day with a great lunch, fantastic sightseeing and outstanding service. Whilst the cost per person was excellent value, the cost of the drinks does add considerably to the overall expense of the day. But otherwise, I highly recommend it.

This hotel fits all our needs
Not too big
Luxurious
Great pool
Nice beachclub/beachchairs
Good service
8.7
During our second holiday in Thailand, we started in this hotel. Because we kept comparing every hotel we stayed in after that, with Twinpalms, we decided to end our holiday here. We made a great deal with the hotel and got an upgrade for our first night.
Normally we choose for the beach over the pool, but here the choice was not so easy. We loved the pool as well. The beachclub was also great and the complimentary beachchairs were ideal. The beach was 3-4 min walk. we did not mind at all. We recommend the beach barbecue. It is very luxurious: fresh oysters, lobster, crab, lamb right of the grill. It was all delicious...
The spa is quite expensive, but i liked the treatment and manicure and pedicure.
The rooms are spacious. We stayed in a deluxe palm lagune room and the grand deluxe palm room. We loved the lagune room, but the grand deluxe room was more spacious. If i would go again, i would choose the grand deluxe lagune room, best of both :)
Breakfast was delicious. Especially the smoked salmon and the fresh fruit juices were quite good. We ate in the restaurant and at the beach. Both were fine, but the prices are a bit high. The quality of the food and the service was good. We also had dinner at the Manathai restaurant next door, which was also very good, but the same prices.
The only con i can think of is that in the area there is nothing much to do. If that is what you are looking for, it's great. But if you like a little bit more action, you have to take a 30 min. drive to Patong or Phuket town for 500 THB (one way). The hotel does offer a shuttle bus in the weekends, but you have to be with a minimum of 3 persons. Also the limousine drive to and from the airport is rather expensive (1500 THB one way). Just outside the taxidrivers offer the same ride for 700 THB.

Twin Palms Resort
Beautiful rooms & amazing pool

We wanted a property well and truly out of the hussle and bustle of the centre of Phuket and this is what TwinPalms Resort offered. We stayed 9 nights and could have stayed longer.. The spa resort was fantastic, the beachclub great, we had a room on the 2nd floor, however next visit we would stay in swim-up pool room. For pure indulge we went out on the resorts TwinPalms Boat..a real treat!!

Decent hotel very well positioned
Its location, nice staff, sunset bar, the boats to visit the islands
8
Koh Phi Phi is very touristic and can get easily overcrowded. Holiday Inn is a bit separate and can only be accessed by road. So you can really experience a Robinson Crusoe experience and rent a boat to visit the beaches and islands. The rooms could be better equipped and a bit nicer but considering its location, it must not be easy
