Having been to Phuket on a few occasions and always staying at a particular hotel, I thought for this trip I will change the surroundings.
The choice was an excellent one, as I found Valero Guesthouse to be a fantastic option. Inigo, the owner met us the first day we arrived and was around the last day when we checked out. He was great with his hospitality and knowledge of the area.
My girlfriend and I had an incident with a rented motorbike from the hotel where it broke down on the way to the Big Buddha. We called Inigo immediately and he responded by coming personally to pick us and the bike up (we were about 30mins away from Nanai Road), and offering an apology for renting us a faulty bike.
We found the stay to be clean and very easily guest friendly. The only negative that we found with the hotel was the stairs, which we had to use to get to our room, it was very narrow and made it tricky to carry luggage up and down.
Overall the stay was pleasant, however Inigo and his staff were the real standout performers which made our stay feel very welcomed.
We would definately stay here agian when we return to Phuket.

Ok hotel and a bit out of the way

We stayed here for two nights.It was quite out of the way and had to get transport to get to main nightlife.The rooms were average size and kept quite clean but outdated.We had ants in the bathroom which they put spray down for.we moved to Arman residence which was nicer and better value for money.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go on a day trip around the island to James Bond island,really pretty!
