We stayed here for one night out in Phuket before hitting the real attractions of the Andaman coast (Ko Phi Phi and Krabi). For a one night stop in town (I don't recommend staying any longer), V. Atchara was the perfect hotel. Clean, friendly staff, and close but not immediately surrounded by the obnoxious Bangla road crowd.

Quiet, Close to Beach, nice Pool

Great quiet hotel with nice pool. Staff were friendly and the food there was good. Close to beach and a little walk to the center of Patong. Room was nice and bathroom was large with two sinks.

A little out of the way and has a weird entry way but pretty good value for the money. We had the worst room in the place and we were ok with it. The pool view rooms looked much nicer. About 15 minute walk to all the action in Patong

Nice comfortable rooms, very friendly staff

The hotel is a 2 minute walking distance to Patong Beach (northern end of the beach which is quieter). Located inside a small alley, it is far enough from all the noise and crowds. Yet within walking distance of travel agents and tuk-tuks. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and always ready to greet you with smiles. Makes you feel almost at home. The breakfast is good and you can eat sitting in the garden with a nice view of the pool and in quiet. The rooms are reasonably big, bright and nicely decorated. The bathroom is bigger than those in many 5 star hotels. It was a great experience staying there and I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

great place for a home away from home in thailand
staff, coziness, food, other travelers
9.3
We stayed here two nights. The staff is very friendly and paid special attention to my 14 month old son, who loved every minute of it. We ate at the hotel restaurant for lunch and the food is fantastic. In fact, when we we out for dinner in Patong to see the sights later that night, I passed on the food at the restaurant and got room service when we got back to the hotel. The lobster soup is very good.
Some may think the place needs updating, but we enjoy cozy, non-commercial places, so for us that only made Villa Atchara have more charm. We stayed two nights, but non-consecutive (went to Phi Phi) and we left my son's blanket and stuffed animal. It was returned to us almost immediately upon our second night there.
Cons:
-about an hour from the airport (but right across the street from the beach- no view though)
-no double bed. before traveling with our son, this never bothered us, but since he sleeps in between us, the crack was a bigger problem for us than we anticipated. (there may be double beds available, we just didn't have one.)

Great hotel
Close to the action but far enough away for a quiet and relaxing time at the hotel pool

I stayed here for 7 days and really enjoyed it. I will stay here again. The hotel is in a very quiet neighborhood but still only a 5 minute walk from Patong Beach and a short tuk tuk ride away from Bangla Road. I went to both of those places almost everyday. Free wifi in the room. The staff is great! Very friendly and didn't have a problem when I brought back girls. Nice pool. The food there is also good. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel.
