This hotel is simply the best! First of all, we just had 1 night stay, but we already know that we will be back here, and stay in this hotel. Phil and Jo, the owners, were very very friendly and helpful. They can accommodate all your needs, and show you how and where to get around and get/see things (restaurants, coffee shop, shopping etc). Their hotel is super clean, which is what I love, with very comfortable bed and lots of pillows. We can also use the rooftop swimming pool on next door's building, and they provide us with extra pool towel.
Overall, I wish that my husband and I have more time to spend it here, but hey, we'll be back, and we know thatPhil and Jo are waiting for us with big smiles!
Travel tip:
Phil and Jo also helped us with arranging pick up transport from airport-hotel with a very competitive rate, and they also helped us in booking our transport to Koh Lanta. For Thai food, go to Ma's restaurant (I forgot the actual name, but Phil can tell you), and mu hubby said that the best coffee he had was from the French's coffee shop few meters down from the hotel.

Family style and suppose mobile phone. The bed is really good and gym also. The hotel at the foot of the mountain, go to beach in 5min, better for someone who like quiet. Phil and his wife are so nice; the best recommendation about restaurant and one-day tour.

We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The couple who manage the place are very friendly. When we arrive Phil the owner gave us a tour around town showing us all the great places to eat, drink, relax, etc... It has a very nice pool. We would recommend the Pad Thai shop right up the street. Best we ever had. The only downside to the hotel is the distance to the beach. Between 10-15 minute walk.

this is the first time we have stayed in a hotel room that seems to be part of an apartment complex. our room was clean and comfortable. it was within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and beaches. owners phil and jo were helpful in making travel arrangements and dining recommendations.
Restaurant Tip:
Try the Swiss breakfast at the nearby Flint's Bakery. The potato pancakes are great! Kwon's Seafood Shop in Kata is fun, friendly, and serves fantastic meals!

A really nice place to relax!

we are a young french couple and we just came back from 5 nights in this really nice hotel. phil & jo, owners of the place, are very kind and they gave us some advices regarding the surroundings, best places to enjoy some good food and drinks, to discover some nice places (for a swim or even for snorkeling) and so on...
we stayed in the "executive deluxe suite" with moutain and sea view. the room was really confortable and big enought, the bed was awsome, we slept very well and enjoyed the balconney!
the localisation is just perfect, between kata and karon beach, you can easily go there by walk, it's outside the touristic places but it's also not so far. we enjoyed renting a scooter because we were able to discover nice places by ourselves. driving a scooter is safe but be careful at the trafic lights close to the hotel, you have to wait to see the arrow becoming green...
our only error was taking a minibus from the airport to go to the villareal's hotel and we didn't enjoyed it so much (other people, severals stops, and driver not really nice). it was really long and annoying. so, as an advice, we think that it's better to ask phil and jo to organize the pick up from the airport. it's probably the best way to go !

Loved every night of my stay here! Just can't say enough good things about the extremely kind owners, the lovely rooms and the central location. Phil, one of the owners, even took me on a sunset tour of Kata Beach on my first night that included an introduction of all the locals hanging out at the best sunset viewing location with a delcious glass of wine to top it all off. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Phuket. You will not regret it and have the best time for it!!

We've spent 3 days in this hotel in January 2012 and we enjoyed it : Phil ,the owner, is very generous with his new guests and even offered us a small tour with his own car to show us good places in kata beach : whatever you are looking for (beaches, restaurants, massage, bar...) he'll be your guide ;)
Also we find it very useful that he provides excursions at competitive prices all inclusive -> because if you know thailand a little bit, sometimes it's better for you wallet to know the price you should pay for a trip ^^

The best place to stay in phuket
Phil and Jo are wonderful hosts, they will make your stay the perfect getaway. The hotel was very nice and central to kata, karon and kathani. I would highly recommend this hotell.

From the time we got there phil and Jo did everything the could to assist us and make our time in phuket special. We had a large room with a seperate lounge room, modern furniture all you could ask for. We were on our honeymoon and stayed here and the Shore, whilst our room at the Shore and the facilities were clearly nicer (and about 10 times the price) I would rather return to Villareal Heights.

Great option for Kata/Karon area!

he stayed here for a week and really enjoyed ourselves. phil, the owner, was absolutely phenomenal with us. he is so helpful with showing his customers around and driving them to any of his recommended restaurants or spas, etc (which were all amazing and spot on). the suite that we stayed in had a nice view and was perfect for what we wanted: quiet, relaxing, spacious, etc. it was about a 15 minute walk to kata beach, which was fine with us as it got us away from the noise of the busy areas of phuket. the pool that we had access to next door is also nice. if this place is full, check out lae lay suites as a similar option, which is right across the street.
Restaurant Tip:
the bakery just down the street is was an amazing option for breakfast with all kinds of options from bacon/eggs to chocolate croissants.
