Nice relaxing stay at Stella

Stella is a beautiful new resort with a nice garden and swimming pool. The location is not near the beach, but there’s no harm, since the beach in this area is not very inviting. There are only 5 bungalows in the resort and this makes it very quiet and private. The rooms are very clean, spacious and have basics one needs to be comfortable. The resort is very safe and appropriate for families with young kids. You will get the best breakfast possible in this area as the owner will pamper you with his own selection of cold cuts including cheese and salami.
The resort is in the national park area and it is surrounded with picturesque mountains that are very interesting for exploring; lime stone mountain peaks, caves, salt fields and parks with protected wild animals will keep you busy for a few days. The only inconvenience of this resort is they don't have an operating kitchen and that can be a drag with small kids . You better have a car to stay here or rent a motorbike to get around.
Tip: stay away from restaurants at Dolphin Bay, They are expensive and serve Thai food for foreigners. Rather eat on the main road away from tourist area.

Quiet place for relaxing stays

Stella Resort in Sam Roi Yod National Park is a beautiful small Hotel in a quiet surrounding. A very nice garden with swimming pool. There you get your delicious breakfast. The owners are taking care of all these things. Parking space is available, it is comfortable to go there by car because you are in the countryside (some kms distance to the seaside). The standard room was tiny, with fridge, TV, WIFI, air condition and a spacious toilet/shower.

A great little hotel

A little gem of a hotel right in Sam Roi Yot National Park. We had a car so everything was easily accessible but it may be more difficult without one. By far the best thing about the hotel is the owners who couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful.

Really lovely place, lots of care and attention by owners, they also have a bar in the village which they happily took us to on the first night! Beech is a 10 minute drive to but it is a lovely quiet beech. We hired a bike from the owners which is great and managed to get around fine. nothing is too much trouble for them and breakfast was freshly cooked eggs, toast etc. Lots of nice places to visit but you MUST have transport. we struggled to get there on arrival at the train Station as there were no taxis, we were lucky that a private taxi was doing a drop off for another hotel and we persuaded them to take us. What you need to do is download Stella telephone details before you go so that you can call him and make transport arrangements! it is off the beaten track, but this also has its advantages if you want some peace and quiet!

A beautiful oasis in the middle of Sam Roi Yot NP

The Stella resort is located in the middle of Sam Roi Yot national park within easy scooter distance of cave visits, temples, boat trips in lotus lakes and beautiful beaches. The owners Yann and Pan are incredibly friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to provide the best experience possible for every customer, be it taking you to food markets so that you can get a taste of authentic Thai cuisine, or recommending activities to do that suits your interests. Yann also arranges many sightseeing tours directly.
The resort itself is an oasis of calm with a pool and beautiful gardens. Ask Yann to give you some magical cure all bananas that they grow themselves!
I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a calm, more "human sized"place from which to explore the natural attractions of the park or just lounge at the beaches. You will want to stay more than one night!

Stella resort is the perfect and best place you may need and found nearby Sam Roi Yot, in the middle of the national park...as far you look for peaceful and fully comfortable place, you may found in these bungalows (particularly cleaned and absolutely well arranged) the best choice....and what about the owner and his wife ? So interesting persons, so close on all your needs, they have the sense of conviviality, absolutely nice owner ! He speaks Thai, French, English, German as far I know....he gave us recommendations about places to visit because he knows a lot in this region...another special thanks is about the bar his wife is holding nearby the hotel on the beach ( by the way you can rent for cheap a scooter to go on place or all around) ...the cocktails were perfect ! Probably the best bar open till 1.00am each night....you're hungry ? No problem, just on the left of the bar you will have an Indian restaurant, where you may found delicious food ! ....really appreciate your kindness Yann ( the owner) really interesting person you are, thanks also to your wife who's so smiling and cheerful person.....hope to come back as soon as possible !!!

Awe inspiring resort

The Stella Resort is amazing, if you're looking for some rest and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the more 'touristy' places in Thailand then you couldn't find anywhere better than here. We were in Thailand for over 2 weeks and this was one of the best resorts we stopped at. Yann and Pann who own the resort are lovely people who were so helpful and informative- the first night after another long journey they invited us to a restaurant (which was a lovely BBQ buffet). Yann gave us loads of information on where to go and the best places to eat and he was never wrong. Pann made my favourite meal of the whole trip at there bar which is located right on dolphin bay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Hire a motorbike there's loads of caves and things to see, take a trip to monkey Island and don't forget to take some bananas (the monkeys hang around longer then)!

A piece of paradise

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stella Resort
Planned to stay only one night, however due to my error in not getting the telephone number of Stella we arrived relatively late in the evening so extended our stay.
The owner Yann from Switzerland and his Thai wife made us very welcome and nothing was a problem.
Breakfast is European style adjoining the pool area.
The gardens although very new are well maintained and will flourish with the care Yann provides.
A small complex where one can converse with others or enjoy total privacy
We will return on our next visit from Bangkok
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
A trip to Kuri Buri National park is definitely worth a visit. A park with more than 200 elephants in the wild. We were lucky and only saw one - other animals also may be seen.
Check with Yann the best way to go as although we followed the signs drove over the worst potholed roads imaginable. Coming back it was only half the distance on good roads

This is possibly one of the best hotels I've ever been to in Thailand. I was just stopping by because it was midway in a long drive. I had no idea it was this nice. The photos should be retaken because it does not do the place justice.
The place is owned by a very sweet couple.
Out gps led us to the wrong spot, but if you just follow the street signs, you'll get to the hotel.
The hotel is inside a national park. It's not ON the beach, but you can get to the beach in minutes.
Each room is a stand alone building. I got the cheapest room, but I still got a porch, my own building (big enough to be an apartment), a full kitchen (fridge, burners, kettle, cabinets ... enough for a long stay), a large bathroom, a gorgeous bedroom w/ trasditional wooden carved thai furniture. decor was very tasteful, loved the sheets, lovely little details. free wifi, although a bit weak in my room.
another wonderful feature is that it allows pets, but you can't tell.
great pool area w/ outdoor shower room, covered deck w/ wifi, large cliffs to look at, gorgeous garden setting, VERY secure parking.
i just wish i had known so i could've stayed longer

you are inside a park. so within minutes you can view a cave, hike to lookout points, see monkeys, or have dinner on the beach
