Location, location, location

In the restaurant you are exposed to the elements (small point though!)

From the moment that I learnt of the Bari Lamai hotel I knew it would be a place that I would like to experience, I have to admit it feels more like a Boutique hotel for couples or families as the recreational facilities are bare but you are not far away from Koh Samet (about 25min boat ride so you can enjoy the water sports that you will not find in Bari Lamai! Overall the rooms are large and spacious and reasonably priced I would like to stay in the Villa on my next visit as it looks fantastic!

Restaurant Tip : The food is very good in the restaurant as is the seafood which is fresh and locally sourced!

The beach in front of the hotel is nice. room is cosy. Staff were helpful.

The buffet breakfast was not so much variety.

I and my family stayed in a beach front villa, which was spacious and beautiful in the beginning of year 2009. The villa is nice as it located next to the quiet and unspoiled beach. There has two huge bedrooms (one with sea view), a living room with connecting dinning room. The service was excellent. Almost all of the staff are very friendly and very helpful. The swimming pool overlooking the ocean was great. Food is excellent and tasty. We really hope to return to Bari Lamai Resort soon.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The resort is located at the end of the suan son beach and convenient to the seri ban pae pier.

the design is great and fully utilize the available space with the ocean view - all rooms are facing the ocean

Internet access was down during the stay and can't check my mail during my 2 days stay - that's suck.

All and all, the experience was great. The room was nice and clean with ocean view. Great beach and much cleaner sand comparing to Pattaya. The pool was nice but a little bit small and didn't get a chance to fully utilize. One big draw back is breakfast. I do fully understand that it's a small hotel with small group of people and breakfast is not going to match the other chain hotels but improvement can be made. The availability is limited and if you're there after 9.30am, there ain't going to be anything left to eat. However, it was a great experience with the price we are paying so, will stop by there again when I've chance.

Shopping Tip : stop by the market during the day time to enjoy the local food and gifting
