Clean and quiet

No sea view, a little old

This is a good place to stay if you want a quiet place as it's quite far from attraction places. However, you should have your own car for your own traveling. The hotel is nice and clean, but it's a little old. There are only few rooms that face the sea.

Well appointed rooms, nice pools, right next to huge beach

Breakfast poor value

The Novotel is used a lot for conferences, so can be busy at times (when the conferences take a break) but the pool was quiet most of the time. The food was good (with the exception of breakfast which was ordinary and overpriced), but quite expensive. The beach is clean and has some pleasant local restaurants - nothing flash but good food.

Good sized rooms with balconies, friendly and efficient staff, lots of swimming pool space, right on the beach.

A bit family friendly for us as many kids around the pools from morning til night.

This kind of resort isn't our usual choice because we prefer a smaller style resort, but friends were staying in a nearby hotel which was full. The hotel is as you would expect from a Novotel - big, well-over a hundred rooms, a choice of restaurants and pools, and not particularly personal. However, the rooms are of a good-size, well-equipped, all with balconies, and fairly well finished. There is not too much in the surrounding area, but the hotel restaurants offer a reasonable option for food. All in all, good, but nothing spectacular.

Nightlife Tip : The 2-for-1 cocktails and the hotel's beach bar are good value. And the glass bottles of water in the minibar are the free ones, not the plastic.

Rayong is a nice location due to its proximity to Bangkok, a two hour easy drive.

Once you get there, not much to do unless you have a car.

There is currently some renovation work at this hotel, which spoils a holiday experience. I was surprised neither Agoda or Accor forewarned me. Novotel try their best to make this hotel to their standard, but fail due to the hotels owner, a shame, I would not classify it as 3 star Novotel, more a two star. F & B terrible, was good two years ago but standards have slipped

Hotel Feature Tip : Don't book into the old wing

Private beach and professional in hotel business.

Far from shopping and restaurant.

If you want to stay in Rayong, this hotel is the good choice. With their reasonable price and standard in service. There is private beach but pool is too small. It is better for family but not good for couple. Parking area should have roof or indoor. Location is good for relaxing. It's better if price is including breakfast.

location.

quiet surroundings.

our second visit here and still as good as we remembered it - still didn't have any evening meals here but can recommend the buffet breakfasts. courtesy car to Ban Phe was a great saving and the driver was really helpful. not too much to do outside the hotel unless you like walking on quiet beautiful sandy beaches.

Hotel Feature Tip : jacuzzi and pools are fab.

not too far from Bangkok, only 2 h 30, good location on the beach, international and Thai customers, quiet beach, few restaurants around, food in the hotel not so good, good for family with children, good value for money.

environment good, i like thier swimming poor, and breakfast foods.

area so dark, difficult to find the location for someone come from Bkk without map, no sight to turn from main road, road very dark, car park very small, do not feel safe.

The best of visit is the price was very reasonable and get services same as other level. However the hotel might not allow you to bring fruits from outside, and also no dining equipment(knife, spoon etc) in the room. The road to the hotel at night is a bit dark. Overall it is acceptable though.

Good rooms, nice areas. Good decoration. Clean. Good garden. Nice pools.

Small stay, no downsides.

On an overnight stay, the resort seemed good enough. The food was good on the barbecue on the garden area. The staff was pleasant. The SPA is open until 7PM, like the pools. The rooms are clean and spatious. Pleasant decoration all around. Just a few step of the private beach.

European style breakfast with Thai dishes in front of the beach.

a little small size. located far from Pattaya.

Novotel Rayong is a good place if you are bored with city life. it is 3 hours away from Bangkok, and close to Pattaya. location is in front of the beach, and you can enjoy fishing, or swimming. I recommend for family with small children.

The Hotel provide all standard need

None

This hotel is ok in overall for standard traveler seeking a private and quiet moment at rayong beach. Unlike the area to Kah Samet where the area is a bit noisy and m ore busy. The sand color of rayong is golden. There is a 3 piece jazz band to play at the beach restaurant which play mellow oldies. Not bad e specially at the full moon day when I stayed.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : This hotel is a bit further to the Koh Samet port
