WiFi, private, reasonably quiet, clean, a/c, free dvd's, huge ensuite
nothing comes to mind. can't grumble too much about a 500b/night hotel!
I had a late check in, and Jimmy (the manager) met me at my taxi and facilitated a very quick check in. My room was a short walk down the street from the main office, not too far away. The rooms were very clean and bright, lots of art on the walls. The staff were always courteous and helpful. For a 500 baht/night hotel, Akwa was excellant. Highly recommend.
Travel tip : The motorbike hire just out the front of my rooms was excellant. Negotiate a better deal when you hire for more days.

If you stay in rooms on top floor, very steep climb
I could not fault my stay here.Was only booked in for one week, and ended up staying two weeks. I would highly commend staying in the penthouse, with a balcony as I did.
Room was comfortable and airy with a fantastic view from the balcony.
Travel tip : Ark bar, behind pizza hut, does excellent food on the beach, with layed back tunes playing in background

Good location, comfy bed, quite clean, friendly & helpful staff,
Leaking bathroom, Early morning drilling.
we recently spent a few nights at akwa guest in samui & all in all had a nice time there. Staff were helpful & friendly (especially the girl with the bob behind the bar). The bathroom wall adjoining the bedroom leaked quite a lot of water, we let a male member of the akwa team know however nothing was done. We fixed the problem ourselves by stuffing a towl into the leaking mess. Great location & the use of the pool over the road was a nice touch although we were only told on our second to last day.
