Akwa Guesthouse Hotel, Samui

akwa guest house in located on the southern end of chaweng, its a good location, not so noisy at night and theres access to the stretch of cleanest most beautiful beach on chaweng. staff gives friendly service. 7-11 is really close for late night craving or a cheap beer. needs to improve lighting in the hall ways and steps. Personally I felt the room is too small, cramp, hardly any walking space, and from the look of it now, the pictures of the deluxe rooms looks so much more spacious, the room i've gotten looks more like a standard room. now reading the facilities of both room again.... i really don't see the difference except the price.

the price is good, it's in the right side of chaweng beach, it's quite far from the middle of chaweng beach, we need to walk around 30 mins or take the taxi to the main of chaweng, the staff are nice, the room is too small, the water is hot, very noisy

We stayed 2 weeks in the wonderful Penthouse, although the terrace is not in so good condition.. I recommend this room, as it's spacious and you can go outside. Clean and full of optionals, but no phone, no wifi, no iron. Personally not important to us, just you to know it!! I would say to everyone to stay at Akwa: really good price, staff helpful for everything, best location and very clean. Just cross the street and you reach the beach! And then mind this: you are out of the continuos noise of all the locals, so it's good if you want to sleep quite, but if you want to make the night "your night" no problem!! In 5 min. you can reach all you want! On may it's not full of people and Chaweng centre is a big mess!! Can't imagine in high season!! Choose Akwa, you won't be disappointed.
