Our stay at Akyra was perfect. Even though we've faced some transportation problem but the Hotel Manager handle it pretty well and who will believe that 10 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Chaweng we'll find a peaceful private hotel, some of my friends who saw the picture of Akyra didn't believe that we took the trip in high-season as we actually did. It was a great experience for our 2nd anniversary and we'll surely stay in Akyra if we go back to Samui again!!!

My stay at the Akyra was very comfortable and enjoyable. The room was not big but the layout and functionality worked well. The breakfast buffet was extensive with some options that changed daily. I particularly enjoyed my pre-breakfast swims in the pool, watching the birds feeding near my balcony and the direct access to the beach where there are a lot of restaurants and bars. The staff were friendly and courteous. Like most hotels the food and beverage options available on site were overpriced by Thai standards. The hotel is located at the North end of Chaweng beach and it is a bit of a walk to the main part of town for restaurants, bars and shops but there are plenty of song taus (public minibuses hailed on the street)and taxis going by most of the time.

Our stay at The Akyra was Fabulous -
Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and a beautiful view.
We loved the room modern, clean and spacious - finished in polished concrete with a balcony.
The pool area over looking the beach was great. We loved to spend our day on the bean bags looking at the ocean, swimming in the pool and ordering drinks from the poolside bar.
Breakfast was delicious - each morning an extensive buffet was laid out and your eggs were cooked to order upon request.
Other highlights would be the spa and beach massages - Talented staff - So relaxing!
And beach front dining - Is there anything better-
Gorgeous place - so happy we stayed there - Thanks for a great holiday
Travel tip:
Try the sushi from the restuarant - Delicious
Pool: if you want a deck chair you need to go down after breakfast - it seems everyone gets down to the pool early for the poolside deck chairs. We weren't bothered loved too lounge on the bean bags.

Check-in procedure is way too complicated, which took us a long time upon an already-late check-in. Hotel transport is obviously over-charged, with one way (only about 10 minutes) costs over 1,000 Bhat. Make sure to check one of the travel agencies outside, which could easily arrange a same transport with no more than 400 Bhat.

Very convenient location in Chaweng. Close to the Airport. Beach is a little dirty but ok. The Rooms and the rest of the Hotel have a stylish appearance in Japanese Style. The breakfast provided by the restaurant is very good and staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall very satisfied.

good stay and relax in the hotel. but they seem do not welcome customers with child. the additional ecpense for child is not reasonable. very convenience for purchasing due to small market is nearby.
