Great staff, fantastic baby sitters I planned our trip from Australia and booked online to stay at the hotel for 17 people. It was fantastic! We asked for ajoining rooms, doubles and singles and also a cot - we got the lot! VERY HAPPY!!!!

Nice room. Only stayed here for one night en route to Koh Tao, but the location is excellent, close to the shops, and the beach was lovely. Staff very helpful and room was adequate.

Quiet, great location, beautiful setting, well maintained, competent kitchen, very friendly staff. At times the beach was a bit littered. I would recommend the staff get out there with their rakes. This is a problem with all hotels in Chaweng however. Low flying aircraft ( perhaps two flights a day ) may be of discomfort for guests. Baan Chaweng is very central to recreation, relaxing and restraunteering. It's setting is lush and nestled among palms and fragrant plumeria. The rooms are clean and tidy and just shy of needed refurbishing. It provides a wonderful place to view the sapphire sea while sipping a mai-tai. For the money, its a good buy.
Travel tip : A fantastic little Indian restaurant called Noori. It's just south of the hotel. Owned by nice people, no frills, excellent food.

Bathroom needs a little updating The check in and checkout were pretty smooth. We arrived pretty early and out room wasn't ready yet but the hotel staff was nice enough to hold on to our bags and provided us with a room to change so that we could relax by the pool. The hotel is really nice and the rooms were clean and spacious. We had 2 rooms and a roll away bed. Had some problems with the roll-away bed but the staff replaced it right away. The shower curtains had a little mildew but otherwise the hotel was great. The location was terrific, right in the middle of all the action and right on the beach. We had a late flight out of Koh Samui and the staff once again held on to our bags and gave us access to the shower room. The only problem with the shower room was that you need to sign up for it in advance or the times you want may not be available. Overall a very nice and relaxing stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you plan on attending the Full Moon party make sure that you get all of the facts from the hotel first and if at all possible avoid the speedboats. It is absolute chaos trying to get back. The boats are poorly organized and only run once an hour, which is not nearly enough for the number of people that are there.

We loved this place. The location was amazing and the resort was beautiful. The staff was courteous and kind. The best part was that the location of the resort is perfectly centered in Chaweng. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who might be going to Koh Samui.

Food have to improvement. Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa Samui is really value money for me.I like the beach and the room is clean.Only I had dissappoint is the seafood,it not fresh.I had order the recommend BBQ snapper fish,but when serve to me is not really hot and not fresh seafood.

Noise from aeroplanes taking off /landing, swimming pool very small, beach and sea dirty, beach chairs very close together, room very basic, only two electric sockets in room, lighting in room very dim, food quality, large numbers of Jet Ski in front of hotel beach. Double bed was two single beds. Towels old and worn out Very noisy due to aeroplanes taking off /landing overhead, swimming pool very very small, many jetskis, small beach area when tide in, very dirty sea and beach for over a week, despite hotel staff regularly brushing the sand to collect garbage, the sea had disgusting and unsanitary items floating in it. The staff were friendly enough. However I wouldnt use or recommend this hotel when there are cheaper and in my opinion better hotel options further along towards Chaweng Noi. Over priced / towels old and worn out, double bed was two single beds with hard ridge in middle of bed

great rooms
Restaurant food is not as good as many others great hotel! right in the middle of chaweng beach. rooms are really good. friendly staff. only thing we found disappointing was the food in the restaurant at dinner time. breakfast was great though.
Travel tip : the 7seas restaurant just down the beach is great

Location, Staff, Food, Beach What can I say about this Hotel other than that I found it to be a little Oasis amongst the Jungle of Koh Somui. The Staff in this hotel were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. When I arrived I was escorted to my room only to find that it had an adjoining door to the next room. I was not exactly happy but this proved not to be a problem and even though the occupancy rate was high, they managed to find me another room that I was more than happy with. You are always greeted with a smile whether which puts you in a good mood. The quality of the accommodation was good. The breakfast was more than enough providing a buffet style food option with a chef on hand to cook fresh omelets or eggs. The restaurant for an evening meal was excellent located right on the beach front with an excellent choice of authentic Thai food or an excellent selection of fresh seafood. The Thai Massage on the beach is not to be missed. I for one cant wait for my next stay.
Travel tip : Ask for their recommendations of food in the evening...

The location, rooms size, food, friendly staff. The hotel was located right on the beach and also was right in the middle of all the action on the street. The rooms were comfortable and clean an we didn't feel like just a number in a big hotel. The food was great, the pool was lovely and overall we had a great experience and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Nightlife Tip : The hotel is just a few minutes away from a great cabaret show at the Star Club.

affordable food and drink You can't swim in the pool after 6pm at night which is very early. Would be nice if they could leave it open until at least 8pm or 9pm. My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa Samui. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival to learn that the delux villa we have booked was not available but that we ahd been upgaded x2 to a beach front villa. We walked into our room to find the bed decorated with rose petals and we could see the ocean from our room.
What we most enjoyed was the good value of this resort. We considered the price reasonable for the christmas period and perhaps what was most enjoyable was the fact that the food and drink prices were very reasonable. We ate both lunch and dinner at the resort on several occassions and it is nice to be able to have a drink from the minibar without worrying that it would cost a fotune.
This resort is right in the middle of chaweng beach and wasn't too noisey at all.
Overall a brilliant mid range resort and we would be happy to stay there again.
Restaurant Tip : For special treat try dinner at the red snapper restaurant in chaweng. while it is quite pricey compared to other restaurants it is well worth the money. Just beware of the surcharge written in small print at the bottom of each page on the menu.

The beach, the garden and the personnel. Some planes pass above the hotel but they fly only during the day and we weren't disturbed by them. Very nice and cozy hotel, with a beutiful garden, a great beach and super massage. The hotel is very well located in Chaweng, with easy access to everything. The staff is very friendly and helpful (we even received Christmas gifts from the hotel). The rooms are big but not so new furnished, but they are realy clean and welcoming.

Very beautiful hotel, near beach, great location. This is a great hotel located right in the middle. The rooms are very nice, big and clean. The surroundings was very green and lush and 2 minutes walk to the beach. The restaurant is very nice and right on the beach. The breakfast is very good and the massage right on the beach was very nice. I would highly recommend this place.
Restaurant Tip : Walk along the beach and you will find very good fresh seafood restaurants.

You are close to the nightlife, but the rooms are quiet. Good food, clean.
Landing airplanes by day (1 per hour). Good place to be! A few footsteps to the nightlife area of Chaweng, but the complex itself is quiet exept the landing airplanes by day (1 per hour). Good breakfast. Good service staff, helps immediatly. Only renting a motorbike (over the reception) was a bit problematic, had to change it 3 times. Very good massage at the hotel beach. Good restaurant nearby: On the way from the lobby to Chaweng road to the right!
Nightlife Tip : Black Jack Pub just across the street is a nice sportsbar for the early evening.

the hotel location is fantastic --- you can walk nearly everywhere, which saves you so much money given rip-off price of average BHT200 for taxis! the rooms were clean, staff friendly and helpful as well, plus the beach front did not hurt at all! rooms a bit frayed around the edges but bearable. biggest possible improvement should be the food, it really was not very good, thankfully lots of restaurants around we could go to for alternatives. I would recommend Baan Chaweng for those looking for good value for money. The location was really great, despite it being in the center of Chaweng, it was actually still very quiet and peaceful day or night. lots of improvement to be had food-wise, but then again you're surrounded by options so it shouldn't be too much of an issue. I would really recommend this for small families or single travelers or friends who want to be near the nightlife.
Restaurant Tip : If you want to splurge on a nice meal, i recommend the page at the library hotel. the deck was just beautiful and the food good, with generous servings.
