Hotel is very well located on the main road near to everything and backs onto the beach!
Lovely restaurant. Great pool. Bright multicoloured buildings made it cheap looking not everyones cup of tea but this doesn't affect the hotel it just depends on taste.
Restaurant fairly expensive as is the bar/pool bar.
Bathroom needed updating, shower poor and hot water limited. Overall our stay at Baan Samui for 6 nights was very comfortable and we had a great time. The hotel is great, had no problems with things not working etc and the pool is fantastic.
Great central location near to all the shops and bars.
Best of all the hotel backs onto the beach. Only issue we were not told of renovation works going on which woke us up at 8.30 many mornings and went on well into the evening. The noise was horrendous and sounded like they were drilling in our room due to air con vents.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : For elephant trekking etc don't pay the tour centres or hotel tour guide. Get a taxi straight to the elephant trekking centre/safari and it will be 1/3 of the price.
Football golf - ask a taxi to take you good fun for all the family!

Hotel is fantastic. I absolutely loved everything. Beautiful clean boutique hotel right on the beach and close to many shops breakfast could have a little more variety Fantastic pool, Beautiful staff, Manager is very kind. Our room was very clean and nice. Very new rooms. The hotel is in a perfect location. We were upgraded to a better room as it was quiet season. The hotel is sort of moroccon which makes it look lovely. The restaurant offers many choices at an affordable price. The massage area was very clean. the resort is not large but very cute. The colours are great also. The garden is very pretty and so is the view. The breakfast could have a little more of a variety but it is still adequate. I guess some could complain that the internet should be free instead of chargeable
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Transfers can be expensive. Negotiate your taxi prices

Staying at a hotel in a place where the rain and mosquitoes rules, in a hotel the price is extreme. We were guests two years ago, the hotel has been much worse, breakfast was much worse since 2006. We will never come back. The staff was very nice, but the hotel policy we found to bo the worst we ever har seen, and we have been in every continent in the world except the north and south pool.

The pool, proximity to the beach and room facilities. Also central position to town. Unfortunately the odours from adjoining sewer penetrated our room on occasions and a number of the beach umbrellas require up-grading. Our stay at Baan Samui was highlighted by the extremely helpful and professional staff we encountered throughout the resort. The facilities were of a high nature, particularly around the pool including the Happy Hour each evening. Breakfast was excellent offering great choice in meals and ability to eat outdoors. We also enjoyed live music in the entertainment area whilst dining.

small rooms & bathrooms initially denied at the check in and asked to pay in cash some exorbitant amount. Finally it took 30 mins to convince the manager with the agoda voucher. this was the first time ever that i had to tell hotel regarding the prepayment at the agoda website. the rooms were very funky -colourful mosaic tiled but small rooms. even the slippers were charged 200 bhat. Breakfast was at the beach front area which was very nice however, breakfast didnt have much options. pool was a baby pool where it was very difficult to find a seat as it had only 15 seaters whereas teh hotel was at full with over 100 people.

Reception and support staff was very friendly and good-hearted. Hour of the day in mind cold air is sent to ask for repair because of lack of air conditioning in the hot room they stayed in was about sweat BAN. By the way the room was 2110. Down the road and enter through a small front door and across the garden alongside the building, three floors of accommodation and two floors were painted in primary colors red, yellow and green. Trees had to worry about building a flashy color like so buried. A bit noisy in the annex building of three stories. It was centered around something in the convenient location and extent of CHAUEN beach and go through it.
Restaurant Tip : The thickness of pizza dough in a pizza shop diagonally opposite the hotel and is recommended.
