Friendly staff. Rooms spotlessly clean. Food was great.
a 30 minute walk from the centre of Chaweng, which was not obvious from the map provided by agoda.
We stayed in a pool view bungalow at the Baan Talay and would have loved to stay in the beach view villa but they were full. This small complex is located right at the far end of Chaweng beach and having visited before and stayed right in the heart of Chaweng life we were a little disappointed upon arrival. However, having spent our first day there we really appreciated the peace and quiet. A song-thaow taxi costs just 100 THB (£2) to get you into the heart of things,and they are easy to flag down. The food was exquisite and very reasonably priced. Our room was spotlessly clean and towels and bedlinen were changed every day.
Nightlife Tip : A visit to the Ark Bar on Chaweng Beach is a must. The surroundings are laid back and relaxed and the food is excellent.

It's right on the beach, excellent service from staff
Garden view rooms are not as desirable as the pool and ocean view rooms.
Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was fresh and clean. Location is excellent. I would stay here again.

Very good location in Chaweng Beach, just 15 minutes walk away from the town centre. Very friendly and supportive staff. Neat and tranquil environment for those traveller whom prefer read their book at pool side.
For budget travellers, garden view bungalows will be the best choice.
The first impression for this resort is rather old fashion and far beyond simple.
However, your mind will be changed by the friendly and supportive staff. Some travellers will make such complaints as no disposable razor or shower cap in the toilet, from the environmental point of view, that should be prepared by travellers themselves.
Beachfront restaurant can let you enjoy a tranquil breakfast or afternoon tea. The only recommendation for improvement will be the menus of the restaurant.
Restaurant Tip : It takes about 15 minutes walk from Baan Talay resort to town centre for pretty special Thai food or others.
