Two pools, beach front location, breakfast options, spacious rooms, balcony/terrace, quiet.
Location - a 10/15 minute walk to bophut village, atmosphere in hotel - no entertainment at bar or restaurant.
We enjoyed a pleasant stay at the Bandara resort. It is located slightly far out of the main areas of bophut but you can either walk along the beach or take a short cut behind the beach. Staff were all friendly and the service was very good. Very spacious and comfortable rooms with decent in room facilities. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Bathroom
Comfy bed
Wonderful Staff
Free internet
Great pools
Right on the beach
Shuttle times left a little to be desired.
Perhaps have staff with a little more understanding of english as it was hard to communicate with room service/house keeping on the phone.
Food was a little overpriced but you are so close to fishermans village which has many restaurants that it doesn't matter.
Loved it, little out of the mayhem of Chaweng but close enough to Fishermans village, perfect location! The resort is definately worth its 5 stars! Would definately come back again but next time with someone special as I was with a female friend and I think it would be great for "couples".
Shopping Tip : If you are heading onwards to Phuket or Bangkok you will find prices are cheaper for bags, clothes etc

Fantastic pools, room service and staff
Lovely hotel and staff english could be better. Great pools. Beach is a bit rough to walk on. area is quite. Had problem with air con in room but staff were on the case immediately with a free upgrade, laundry and breakfast thrown in. Only major problem was the mosquito's which nobody seems to talk about in koh samui. Take plenty of repellent, room spray and cream and then you might be o.k. got bitten at least 3 times a night with 2 plug in repellents and a can of spray a night.
Restaurant Tip : Use repellent with a high deet factor to avoid bites

There is one building facing the main road, it can be a little bit noisy when the cars pass by. But it's totally bearable.
We stayed there for one night. The hotel locates not too far from Chaweng Beach and is easy to access by public transportation. The room is nice and clean. The first room we got had cigarette smell but they were willing to change to room for us. There are 2 pools and the hotel provides free internet kiosk.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Try Thai pancake from little stalls (there are heaps of them) along Chaweng shopping area at night. We tried them from 3-4 different stalls and most of them are yummie!!!

Clean, freindly, helpful, staff excellent pool and garden beach clean the resort is 4 stars.
Better quality for breakfast. No printers in Internet cafe. Cleaners arrive too early to clean room.
An excellent hotel, would rate 4 stars. The hotel gardens and surrounding areas are very well kept with excellent pool and bathing area a warn and freindly welcome on arrival I recommend a taxi into chaweng for entertainment nightlife and shopping or a walk down the beach to fisherman's village for a choice of fresh seafood and boutique style shops but if it's peace and tranquility with a fabulous beach to watch the sunrise or sunset the Bandara hotel offers it all with freindly staff and clean rooms.
Travel tip : Get your own taxi, cheaper than hotel's

Comfortable and clean rooms, friendly staff, nice pools, excellent services (with the price we got from Agoda).
Location (far from Chaweng Beach)
my frd and i were happy to pick Bandara as we stayed in Koh Samui, the environment was nice, though it's a bit far from the main beach. their services were excellent, shuttle bus, room services and guest services were very good. my frd and i will definitely choose Bandara again if we go to Samui.

Restaurant - expensive and compared to other place in Thailand poor
Good hotel. Good quality, nice rooms, nice garden, clean. But restaurant is expensive and quality does not reflects price.
Travel tip : Go and eat at Fishermann villige.

Resort on the beach. The Fisherman's Village is a 10 min. walk away. You can hire a driver for about 500 baht/hour. There is a tram 2 times a day for 10 ppl to Chaweng Beach. Only 15-20 minutes away from the airport. Can conveniently book tours and get picked up from the airport. Near the big buddha. Complimentary internet.
The beach is very dirty (compared to Chaweng Beach). A bit far away from Namuang waterfall, where many of the activities are (30-40 mins).
They lost our reservation.
The facilities were amazing! There are two pools and right near the beach. The rooms were very clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends!
Restaurant Tip : There is a restaurant a block away from the hotel with GREAT Thai food! It is called K-Siri. GO THERE!! Ask the staff for directions.

Wonderful staff, especially evening staff and night shift, very kind generous and extremely helpful ( thank you Bee and Thank you Kee). The hotel has a gym with a very good instructor, it also has free wireless internet in all the rooms, which is very handy if you have laptop, it also has a computer room. Very near to Fisherman Village (5 minutes walk on the beach) which is a must when visiting Koh Samui, also less than a 10 minutes trip by car or bike to Big Buddha which is another must and finally the location is at the north of koh samui and water in this area is deeper wich is more swimmable. Also about 15 minutes from the airport.
Expensive spa, the sand is slightly coarses and the see colour is darker but thats the beauty of the island, you need to try different parts of the island.
Staff especially night shift staff and porters are amazing, helpful and kind beyond description, There is an exellant family mart shop directly across the road and sells at the local prices (not the tourist inflated rates). there is also directly across the road car, bike and taxi hire shop and the rates are also exellent.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Wonderful restaurants in the village, best is starfish if you really want the best seafood in the area and at an incredible price! also very good area for shopping for gifts etc and its lively but not loud.

Beach pool beautiful. Great staff. CLose to Fisherman's village - great places to eat and drink right on the beach.
Sand on beach is a bit rocky
Bandara resort was terrific. Clean, beautiful room and great staff. The location of the resort is great too - close to restaurants and bars, but also quiet. Only bad point is the sand on the beach was sore on the feet!
Restaurant Tip : All the restaurants along Fisherman's village (5mins walk) have great food and table right on the water front.

Spent 9 days in bandara resort, Koh Samui. Rooms are comfortable. Not elaborate but ok.
The staff are friendly. Hotel clean and tidy. Pools are great. The cost of drinks and food are a little pricy, but the hotel is conveniently positioned less than 10 minutes walk from the fishermans' village (once you know the back roads, or less if you walk along the beach) and this has a multitude of good, cheap restaurants to eat and drink in.
Nightlife Tip : If like me, in mid age and after a pleasant evening rather than a boisterous evening, Go to fishermans village. Good atmosphere, reasonable prices, good range of food. Thai, mexican, indian, italian, western food all available.

Great Manager and staff, Well appointed throughout, free internet,
Couldn't extend stay due to full house but that's a good indication of the quality of the place. I should have made reservations for beyond my booked stay period.
The manager, an engaging guy was seriously interested in how I liked the hotel. He and two friends spoke with me for about 10 minutes and then bought me a drink at the bar which was tended by an outgoing and friendly bartender who remembered my name the rest of my stay. The hotel beach and the food at the restaurant there were top notch. The price was great for what I received in return. Truly regretted having to leave.

Villas are spacious and have fantastic amenities. Private pool and courtyard was very private and comfortable. The beach was clean and there were plenty of sun tanning chairs.
Breakfast was not included in our rate (not sure if this was available as a rate through Agoda). Food is expensive relative to restaurants down the street in the Fisherman's Village. Numerous sellers on the beach, which annoyed us.
The Bandara is a short 5 minute walk to the heart of the Fisherman's Village, which has all of the services and restaurants one could ask for. We booked a pool villa which proved to be a great upgrade. The pool and courtyard was very spacious and private. Lots of food options in the Village down the road. The ocean water here is murkier than other beaches on the island, but the Village and the Resort make up for that.
