the view is splendid, the rooms are clean n well maintained, the food is good, service is excellent as is the staff, easy access
wi-fi active, but no internet access, less variety in the lunch menu
right from the time of check-in, we were made welcome and felt at home. The staff were friendly and ever willing to help. We were permitted to use all the hotels facilities even after our check-out as we had a late nite flight. Overall, it was a beautiful experience. We would surely recommend others to stay and experience the same for themselves. We ourselves are eager to visit again
Shopping Tip : shop at TESCO Lotus for the cheapest deals on almost everything

Stunning views, beautiful pools, excellent staff, spacious rooms
In a secluded location on top of a hill, so not so good if you're wanting to be in the middle of the action.
My husband and I stayed in the Deluxe Seaview room in early Dec 2009. We had been a little concerned that we were staying in a "Western" hotel, and that we might miss out on the local experience, however this was not the case at all! The local staff were always friendly and ready to help, the restaurant served good Thai food, and the ambience of the grounds had a definite tropical feel - just beautiful. Our room was large for it's price range and we had a gorgeous view from our balcony - definitely recommend the seaview rooms (otherwise why are you staying on top of a hill!). We felt the price of onsite services to be quite reasonable for a 4 star hotel, and used the onsite spa once for a great oil massage.
The pools... just stunning. 2 horizon pools with spectacular views.
The restaurant food was good quality and reasonable value, and the breakfast buffet (included in the room price) was excellent - freshly cooked omelettes yum.
Reception even organised a free transfer from our previous hotel, and a cheap transfer to our next hotel after we contacted that hotel and found out how expensive their transfer fee was!
We would definitely return here, and feel that it is a nice balance of comfort and price.
Travel tip : Some taxis won't drive you up the hill, make sure you use the hotel phone at the bottom of the driveway - reception will send someone to pick you up!

Amazing views, friendly staff. I was sick in the hospital before arriving and they were great. They even organized a free shuttle to the hospital when I had to go back for a checkup. The room was clean and had everything, free wifi, free breakfast with an amazing view. The pool and facilities were perfect.
The hotel has been one of the best I've ever stayed in. The first thing that sold me was the view. The sunrise resturant is the best way to start your day with the free breakfast buffet and the views where spectacular. The room had everything possible from bath robes and beach towels to free wifi and a private balcony with 2 lounger chairs and even a rack to dry your swimsuit. The staff were incredible. They even organized a shuttle to take me to the hospital. The free shuttle bus to Lamai beach and Chewang was really helpful as staying up the hill can sometimes be a pain being far from the action but the free lift solved the problem. The hotel has everything and nothing missing. The pools and sauna were amazing and very private as not too many guest were there. There is a gym and free games room. The free wifi was a bonus. I can't think of anything to complain about!

Location-right in between lamai and chaweng so you have the best of both worlds.Room- large, very clean, nicely decorated with a view of the sea and a seperate bath and shower.Breakfast-nice that they served both a european breakfast (eggs, cereal etc) aswell as a thai breakfast.Views were amazing, pools were gorgeous
Overall the hotel is amazing, it has 3 infinity pools looking right out into the sea which is the best view I have ever had in a hotel. We got a sea view room and the view was well worth it.the breakfast was good, the staff were helpful and friendly, free dvd player is you ask for one, sauna snd steam room. We didnt use the spa but we heard it was really good. The restaurant food was great, around the same price you would pay for a meal in either of the towns. The room was gorgeous, large and very clean and there was a seperate bath and shower which is unusual in thailand. the hotel helps with excursions and car hire and also helped us improve our map reading skills when we couldnt find where we were staying.free shuttle bus to both lamai and chaweng is great, the sister hotel in lamai is right on the beach and its great.
Travel tip : about 15mins away from the hotel is a tiger zoo where you can have amazing experiences getting up close to bengal tigers!

amazing view from the 3 rd floor rooms (Deluxe Seaview), multiple pools overlooking the bay, large rooms, free hourly shuttles to the beach. to make things even more interesting my bathroom had a glass window out to the living room which allowed me to watch tv and enjoy the bayview from the bathtub.
the service at the ground level hotel is somewhat subpar. the prices at the restaurant and for room service are inflated more than they should be. hotel somewhat removed from the main town (which could be a good thing)
I was expecting this hotel to be impressive but I was blown away when I saw it in person. I've stayed at many Best Western hotel through out my travels none of which can be compared to this one which is in a class of its own. I highly recommend you spend a few extra dollars to upgrade the Deluxe Seaview which is located on the top floor of the hotel. Agoda had a special discount for my booking which gave me the 3rd night for free.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : you can rent a scooter from the hotel for 300 thb (or 150 thb outside of the hotel). this is the best way to explore the island and can save you some money because taxi/tour bus service on the island is relatively expensive

good hotel, very clean, nice balcony with view both beach and swimming pool. Very kindly front desk people.
far away of cheaweng beach. 10 min by car and we tryed to walk till the beach but we couldn't, no sidewalks.
WE stayed 4 nights in this hotel and was fantastic. WE had everything inside, nice swimming pool, kids play room, pleaces for relaxing, very nice resort. The provide free suttle bus from the hotel every hour but only one way. You can also stop a tuk tuk and you can go to any beach on the island. You can also use taxi to get in chaweng beach is max. 150 baht..but they ask in the bigining 300...

Fantastic view, good position, quite, and big room
Quite old construction, breakfast unsatisfying and the staff not really good in English.
The Best Western Samui Bayview is just a "Standard" hotel and in the end of the day is still Ok for the priced that I payed!
The hotel has a spectacular view of the bay and the visual effect from the balcony (seaview room) is fantastic. I find the position of the hotel quite good considering the Hotel is in the middle way from Chawekg and Lamai. So strategic for discover the beaches around the island and a quite place out of the noises of the crowded Chaweng. The best choice is then to rent a bike considering that nothing really happen around the hotel area and the always annoying , unfriendly and "expensive" public transportation experience we had during our stay.
Rooms are quite big, clean even they need a bit of renovation. In fact the overall impression is of a old structure built with "the old Asian taste"!
The breakfast buffet is nothing exceptional with a few choices and definitely not up to standard.
The staff they have been ,after all , kind and helpful with only difficulties of their limited English that sometimes it created some incomprehension.

I booked this hotel because of their picture - . If you love the scenic hotel and want to spend time in hotel, then this would be the best choice. However, the location was quite far from both Lamai as well as Chaweng beach. So if you are a beach type, be sure that you hire bike for transport - as taxi and public transport in Samui is quite high unless you can bargain quite well.
But if you are on a relaxing vacation the hotel provides enough things - landscaped sea front swimming pool, spa, gym, indoor sports, library, scenic room verandah, sea front restaurant - there is no need to be on the beach unless you want some white sand and beach sports.
But I hated the english skills of staff here. Also the interiors could have been more nicer and a bit more maintained.
Hotel Feature Tip : Hotel provides free transportation hourly to Lamai and 2 times daily to Chaweng - be sure to check out the times.

Very nice seaview and service.
The shower was not stable, it took few minutes to get hot, but it got cold soon.
When we arrived this hotel first minute, we were shocked by the seaview. The view was very very nice, it made us so comfortable. Waiting the sunshine from the balcony felt so good and very beautiful. And the swimming pool is also with very god seaview from the cliff. There are 3 pools, you can enjoy most of your time there, it will makes you forget anything. But the bad point is the shower and bathtub. The shower was not stable. It offers cold water most of time...

-uitzicht is prachtig/view is wonderfull
-zwembad is mooi/nice swimmingpool
-het complex is mooi/the resort is nice to see
-kamers zijn ruim/rooms are spacious
-kamers zijn schoon/rooms ar clean
-ietwat afgelegen van de gezelligheid van chaweng/somewhat far from the center of chaweng
-its a little simple
-breakfast is very simple and not a lot of choice
The view is simply great! And it is nice to just walk through the resort cause it's quite nice. The swimmingpool is also nice. Furthermore, the rooms are spacious and clean but very simple and are getting a bit old. We came from Millenium Hilton in Bangkok so the beds felt a bit hard compared to that. The fitnessroom is no fitnessroom at all. Breakfast is ok but also very simple and not a lot of choice.
I recommend renting a motorbike at the resort cause the hotel is situated inbetween chaweng and lamai which means that you're not directly where the action is. With a motorbike that's no problem at all and you get everywhere fast.
All in all, considering the low price I would definitely recommend this hotel but just don't expect to much (except a great view!!!!!.
Travel tip : rent a motorbike
if you are looking for a real gym, just go towards chaweng after ten minutes its on you left hand (worldgym)

Pools, staff, view, breakfast...
Despite not particularly liking Koh Samui this hotel made our stay memorable. We had a balcony room which was spacious, clean, well-equipped...and had an interrupted view out over one of the cliff top pools to the sea. The minibus driver attempted to rip us off by telling us our complimentary transfer from the boat would cost us another 200 bhat but when i raised my suspicioun with the reception staff before paying him they helped me confirm this and dealt with him. This was just an early example of a kind, welcoming helpful staff that we experienced for our whole stay. Which we extended after less than a day because we liked the place so much. It's a good place to esape the ramshackle that is most of Samui now. Quietly placed on a clifftop, only a 10 minute moped ride from Chaweng beach, the Best Western was an oasis. 3 pools, smiling faces at breakfast and well attended rooms. The food at the restaruant in the evening was equally well presented and tasty. I'd go back in no time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Stay away from Chaweng as much as possible and go searching for something better. It does still exist on Koh Samui...just about.

great view of the island, beautiful cascading pools, isolated but close enough to everything
little bit out of the way and would require transport but that is easily accessible
breakfast was bland

Great views friendly staff, you can spend most of time at the resort.breakfast could have more choices given the abundant fresh produce available.
