Great hotel & service!
direct access to beach, very quiet but close to the chaweng center. Breakfast was awesome!

This is really one of the best hotels I've ever stayed. People really care about you and their mission is to serve you and to make your stay as happy as possible. all the little details they care about. It is definitely worth the money and I will recommend this hotel to my friends.
Hotel Feature Tip:
for this kind of hotel the basics are of course that everything is clean and fresh. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They also help to rent a bike for a fair price. Dinner was a bit pricey there but it also was something special.

Excellent resort with lovely staff
Good location, helpful staff, nice rooms

This is a beautiful resort that I would recommend for couples. Unfortunately I went there in rainy season, and it was cyclonic weather my whole time there, so I cannot comment on my outdoor activities, such as the beach and the pool. The staff were very helpful and friendly and always referred to me by name. It is close to shops and restaurants. The hotel organised airport transfers at a reasonable cost, and all went smoothly. They have DVD's and umbrella's that you can borrow when it rains!

Simple pleasure
Clean, nice staff, quality safe food
9.7
I had read numerous reviews about the Buri Rasa... and guess what?! They were right... the Buri Rasa isn't the most glamorous resort on Chaweng Road... but what you trade for shine is a clean, decent looking resort. The staff here are super nice and very helpful... the breakfast was a world ahead of so of the other places I stayed in whilst on Samui and Phangan (and those places were ALOT more expensive)...
Trust me... you won't be disappointed.

we stayed at buri rasa for 4 nights and 5 days in november and i agree with most of the other reviewers, we regretted not staying longer. we stayed in room 32 closer to the beach, and it had an awesome and unquie private courtyard view. i absolutely loved that view!!! that view is now on my iphone and ipad as default screen view, it was that good!!!
i also think what made this place great were the people. right from the the moment we stepped in, lisa the property manager was super super friendly and helpful in making us feel welcomed. other resort crew like arm, pong, aom, chart and especially ice, were so so awesome and helpful that i dont i have met more friendly and warm crew in my life!!!
i also have to mention the food - very nice breakfast selection and you must visit the beach restaurant - beach club atleast once. the ambiance is absolutely awesome and very romantic. not to mention the cool sand and the wind hitting you while you get to eat fresh sea food - its the best!!! we also loved the nightly treats they left us - perfect end to your awesome evening.
just to keep few other things in mind - there is construction going on and sometime it can be loud. it didn' bother us too much because one day in rained in the morning (so there was no construction that day) and other days we were touring the islands. also when you want to get a cab, just go outside the resort, there are plenty of cabs, you will end of paying only 300 baht instead of 500 baht that the hotel was charging us to get a cab (which i thought was outrageous).
all in all it was an amazing trip and i cannot thank enough buri rasa and its crew enough. i am already looking forward to coming back here :-).

my husband and i went our on honeymoon in thailand. we only had one night in ko samui and booked buri rasa last minute at a great rate. since it was rainy season we were did think the weather would cooperate so we didn't want to spend too much time there. we were wrong! the weather was perfect, the hotel was amazing and we were sad we only had one night here. we were even upgraded to a room where we had our own private pool! in all of thailand it was the only hotel that we had an actual mattress! the room was clean and luxurious. we both said if we go back to thailand we would stay at buri rasa for a week. it was a great location, only a couple minute walk from the center of ko samui, but also a relaxing place to stay if you just want to get away and not be in the craziness. highly recommend this hotel!
Restaurant Tip:
Green Bird was a 10 minute walk from the hotel and some of the best thai food we had our whole trip- and cheap!

Great Hotel
Great location and great service

we spend two nights in buri rasa. it was a great experience. the location is great and the sea in outside the hotel just few seconds by walk. so every day we get up can swim in the hotel’s beautiful pool or the fantastic sea.
the service is great! they always smile to us sincerely and always willing to help. our private pool make this trip diffident. we play the water in the pool, drink beer, talking late at night with the light in the pool. cannot describe the feeling.

Great Hotel with better service!
Service with a smile...literally
9.3
This hotel exceeded my expectations and blew me away. The service was excellent and they really made us feel welcome. The rooms were nice and the traditional thai shower was neat - although we didn't really try it out. The complimentary breakfast was the best that I've ever had. There were so much to chose from.
I would definitely return to this hotel.
I also highly recommend the pina coladas - in the coconut!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
I recommend renting a scooter and riding around the island.

Fantastic resort in a bit noisy environment
Amazing rooms, great service, lovely pool area and breakfast
9.7
Pros - Buri Rasa was by far the most expensive hotel in my trip and it was worth every dime. The rooms were beautiful with a huge shower and very clean, with little gifts every afternoon, front desk and beach bar staff were fantastic, by any standards. I specifically remember Ice and Yui as being very helpful. Breakfast - fantastic and pool and beach area were superb. The beach in the area is clean and the endless pool was very relaxing.
Cons - I booked a spa treatment, pedicure, which was not worth the amount it cost, I think the very kind girl was not experienced. The beach Club buffe dinner (700 Baht per person!) was over-priced when compared to the quality and taste of food. There are construction on both sides of the resort and the noise did bothered us. We were told upon arrival that the work ends up at 4pm but there were days when there was noise until 6:30pm, BUT Chaweng beach in general is not a quite place so if you want a silent vacation, any resort in that area is not for you.
Bottom line - My overall experience was fantastic and I would come back for sure.
Restaurant Tip:
On the other side of the street there's a local restaurant called "Ninja Crepes" - ot serves great local food in 65-150 baht per sidh.

i had a very good experience during my two days visit in koh samui. the location of the hotel is very good, which is close to main street where you can find authentic local food. the one acrcoss the hotel, "ninja crepe" is a very popular restuarant. the beach in front of the hotel is nice and the sands are white. a very relaxing atmosphere along the beach. the restuarant is aslo another checkpoint where food is good and decilious, include the breakfast buffet, juice is fresh!
