Staff kindness.
Ocean wing in perfect location
restaurant fish food not fresh.
Lake wing looks not so nice.
We asked to be upgraded from lake to Ocean wing which is in a better location on the beach and 2 min walking from the main shopping and bar area. Good quality price ratio both for hotel and restaurant apart from a poor fish plateau we had.Rooms and breakfast are ok. Pool not too big but ideal for kids. Generally we had a good experience and a very good time there.
Restaurant Tip : Generally the food was good both western and thai style. Also fish dishes were ok apart from the well reccomended and advertised 2 pers fish plateau which was not fresh.

All except the Reflexology The Chaba Resort is a very good Hotel, service, food excellent. I forgot my mobile at the Hotel and they send it to me to our Hotel in Bangkok. Thank you again.

Service, friendly staff, clean room, great pool, great beach. bathroom faucet in our room was broken. Loved it at this hotel. When we first arrived they greeted us at the door with complementary drinks and a wet towels. Then they told me that the Lake Wing room that ireserved was unavailable so they simply upgraded me to the Ocean Wing side of the hotel...THANKS :) Big room, big bed, it was great. Great pool but the best part is our location on Chaweng beach. We were on the best side further south. The further up you go it gets too rocky, crowded, and blocked off for jet skis. We had the fine sand and shallow emerald waters. Absolutely not rocks or seaweed. Loved it. Only downfall was there were a lot of European tourists trying to get the best sunny spots. The fruit vendors and meat vendors were great. Beware of stray dogs that roam the beach..they are super friendly but will setup shop next to you if you show food. Some might get intimidated by that. Oh there are a lot of vendors who will try to sell you stuff. Other than that I RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL (go with Ocean wing for easy access to the beach and resto)
Nightlife Tip : The main road is full of shops for your shopping pleasure. Beware of suit tailors out to lure you, but also beware of the working girls that will try to drag single men right into the bars and clubs to get a hold of their money. Also i found a great little restaurant called NINJA CREPES. It's about a 5mins walk south of the hotel and well worth it.

The location was very central.They have a nice pool right at the beach.The beach was very nice. The rooms seemed modest in size. I enjoyed my stay very much.The location was excellent,close to shopping,food,and nightlife.They upgraded me to an oceanview suite,which was incredible.The view was great and the room was so comfortable.The beach was very nice and the pool had a swim up bar.The staff was friendly and helpful.
Hotel Feature Tip : If you have a choice upgrade to an oceanview suite.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tidy. Location was perfect, close to all the action yet the hotel was well tucked away so quiet and relaxing. If you want your room made up straight away, best to tell reception as sometimes they wouldn't come round till late afternoon. We loved Chaba Samui. As we are in our early twenties it was the best spot as we love the nightlife yet we wanted to be able to relax without all the hustle and bustle during the days. The staff were super friendly and helped us out lot with booking tours and getting good prices. I came down sick one day and i had staff calling to make sure i was okay and if i wanted to be driven to the hospital. To me this showed that they really care for their guests. Breakfast was delicious and also the swim up bar made fantastic cocktails!

the only thing i noticed was the sea view rooms exterior needed a touch up(im just being picky) but that was barely noticable. firstly its a thumbs up from my partner and i.
The location is excellant, being close to the centre of chaweng beach strip. Its beach location is prime. You couldnt get a nicer setting. having the pool right next to the beach was a bonus too.
The hotel staff were always happy to help and went out of their way to ensure you have a good stay.
The accommodation was above basic with nice ffurnishings though slightly dated. the rooms were immaculately clean as were the hotel ssurroundings.
buffet breakfast was always good. so was the eevening meals on the courtyard.
I Definately recommend this hotel and i will be travelling to koh samui and using the same hotel again. great experience.
Shopping Tip : Dont shake the tailors hands on the side of the road, they will inevitably get you into the shop.

The Chaba is right on the beach and has a great beach bar. The staff were fantasic and very friendly. Easy access to shops and restaurants. Food at the restaurant was beautiful and breakfast very nice. The swimming pool is lovely. No wireless internet access in rooms. Rooms were adequate and bathrooms small but all very clean. There are not many rooms with seaviews. We had a most enjoyable stay at the Chaba being our second time. The atmosphere of this hotel is terrific with the staff lots of fun to be with and suitable for all ages. The resort is right on the beach and it is excellent for swimming. The beach is beautiful and clean. The swimming pool is lovely with the pool bar good fun. Even senior staff are more than happy to please.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Close to shops and restaurants. Right on the beach.

Close to the beach,great breckfast,all the staff are very attentative Weaknesses i didn`t see any,perhaps the rooms on the mainland side of the road may not as good and the gym was average, generaly it was all good. The resort was on the beach side,the staff where great and very willing to give great service,help and advice.The hotel put on a new years eve dinner which was paid for by us and was great fun,the hotel even supplied shirts to wear bit corny but great,the boys around the pool bar are great and a lot of fun .

This hotel is in I think the best location in the middle of Chaweng. It is a tough decision should I the swim in pool or the beach. Pool is beautiful.
Restaurant Tip : The sweet corn cooked for you on the beach at lunch time is yummy 50 baht and comes with bananas and coconut.
