For starters I couldn't find the hotel as the name has changed, so was initially dropped off at the wrong place and had to find it myself. Was undergoing major renovations so was very noisy all hours of the day. Located right in the centre of Chaweng meant that it was noisy all through the day and night, personally not good. Must say clean hotel and cleaned daily, also good wi-fi service and complimentary water was nice. Overall average.

since the hotel is in the thick of everything, i did expect some noise. however, it was alot more noisy than i expected, and it doesnt get quiet until about 6am. the rooms themselves are quite large for this price, but the furniture is old and worn, and the bed was very hard. mine had a broken spring in it, so i could only use one side without getting stabbed in the back. the bathroom was ok, although the drain smelled somewhat when showering. the ac was good, with loads of cool air all the time. the tv reception was so bad it was pointless to watch it. the best part was the friendly staff, who did the best they could with what they have. if you party all night and are looking for a budget hotel, this is a good deal. walking distance to everything and loads of restaurants and bars just outside the entrance. just dont expect anything but a basic room with ac (and now also wifi which was very fast).
Restaurant Tip:
Walk through soi green mango to some thai restaurants for cheap and good food. The restaurants on the beach road are generally overpriced.
