You get what you pay for here. Location was not ideal (next to the stadium unless you like hearing the Eye of the Tiger every 20 seconds). Staff were not helpful. Hotel room was dirty and electricity didn't work. Staff told me they were going to fix it when they have time. This is while they were watching Youtube clips on their phones.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Don't bother with the staff helping you set up travel tours around Ko Samui.

i was stay for 2 night at this hotel. i got room with air conditioner, privat bathroom, and queen size bed for the price of bath only. the room was good and consistent to the picture in agoda website. on my first night, all the electric weren't working and the next day they gave me another room, a bigger one.
its location was a bit far from the beach and the centers of activity of haweng beach. but it only needed 5 minutes walk. so it's not atually a trouble.
you can also arrange a day trip to the surrounding island at the receptionist desk and they offer a good price also.
the trouble i got during my stay was the recepstionist/official that didn't always stay there at all time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
you will cross chaweng beach walk before you enter the chaweng beachside road. in this beach walk you can find a kind of night market which sell lot variety of good food and drink with a very cheap price. so you can buy some there then continuing your sightseeing along the beachside road in which center of activity take place.
on the contrary direction of beach walk, you can find soi reggae, where several small bar and cafe located.

Quiet hotel tucked away behind Chaweng Beach

This was a lovely stay for me. It was just far enough so that I wasn't in the crowds right on the strip of Chaweng Beach. They gave me an aircon room even though I booked a fan, but never used it, it was nice and cool when I was there. There was no real restaurant, and the bar was closed, but it was very close to some little places where the locals ate which were much cheaper than the tourist places. If you want an experience that's more expat and less tourist, this would be a good choice. Not on the beach though, or the party strip.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Most of the cab drivers didn't even know where it was so make sure you bring a map, it's around the corner past the statues of the monkies.

The hotel was small and basic, BT it did exactly what it said on the tin. It gave you a bed, a bathroom, had wifi, a pool and was close to the main strip of shops and restaurants.
The location was quiet, which was nice and the hotel itself is small, meaning that there is not a lot of traffic and people about.

i booked the studio apartment and was impressed with the size. it had a nice balcony and also cooking facilities which is a bonus if you just need to relax on the balcony without venturing out to eat.
pool is great, deep and refreshing
if you dont have a motobike it will take you 20 mins to walk to main nightlife.

About 5 minutes from the beach and lots of restaurants. If your looking for nightlife it's a little far out about 15-20 minutes walk but not too bad with a few beers aboard. Beach is very nice. The hotel is quite basic but it was clean and the room was cleaned well everyday. It has a nice pool which was always nice to jump in after a day at the beach.
Nightlife Tip:
I was told by many not to bother with samui but it's got a good beach and a lively night life I'm glad I went.

no receptionist when we arrived at 6am so had to wait until 9 am to check in.hotel has been left get run down and dirty, the poolside furniture is only fit to be dumped.not a place for kids.in saying that,i had the poolside room which was big and clean.o.k hotel for single guys on the beer.
