Quite, very comfortable and nice, Staf is so friendly and helpful, early checkin and late checkout.

Food is too expensive

Coconut Villa vas the best hotel we have stayed in Koh Samui. Comfort you are receiving for money for night is unbelievable. If you want quiet and no rush, Coconut Villa is very good choice. Food there is quite expensive, and there is no other choice nearby. We rented motorbike (400 BAT instead of 250 inside island is not so expensive and bikes are much better also) and go to Lamai or Nathon.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Some 200m right side of Hotel is fisherman’s base, you can go for fishing, or snorkeling... They took 1500 BAT for 4 hours from us (2 persons). Maybe you can try to agree even cheaper.

Swimming pools, beach, service

Location

Had a great stay at Coconut Villas, very relaxing and really enjoyed the facilities on offer. The swimming pools were fantastic and the beach was quiet and secluded with complimentary use of kayaks. Service was excellent and all of the staff were really friendly and helpful. The only downside would be the location, difficult to get anywhere without transport (the hotel hire costs for mopeds are quite high) and the resort is not really big enough to be happy to stay there all the time. The restaurant is also quite limited and the drinks expensive. There are some good restaurants in the nearest village although this is about a 30/40 minute walk away. Overall had a great stay, would go back.

Great rooms, excellent food, friendly staff, beautiful location, internet service, free shuttle to town, peaceful atmosphere, clean pool, and located right on an almost private beach.

The only thing to know is that it is pretty isolated from most places like shopping, etc,

For me the Coconut Villa was a diamond in the rough. Although isolated, it is well worth the extra miles to stay there. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated, and well maintained on a daily basis. There is a great fresh water pool located to over look the beach with toys for kids provided. The beach is clean, isolated from lots of tourists so one can relax, read, swim and sun without interference. The food is excellent and served using nice presentation. If you want to shop, a shuttle service is provided daily free of charge. Sight seeing trips were also arranged by the staff in a professional manor. I enjoyed my stay very, very much and would not hesitate to recommend the Villa or make a return visit. It was wonderful.

Travel tip : The beach and boating.

Very beautifull pool , cozy rooms , great quiet location , polite staff!

Bigger food quantities , cheaper spa and allday transportation for free!

Coconut villa is in a very quiet location away from everything for relaxing vacations, very good and polite staff and terrific beach view. I liked very much their breakfast and swimming in both of the hotel's pools!i recommend this hotel for very exotic and anti-stressing vacations!!!!

Very quite location, private beach, modern facilities, free rental of DVDs, welcome drink on arrival

English skills of the staff, remote location, higher prices at restaurant and spa.

This hotel was a perfect choice. It has modern rooms and a private beach just a few steps away. The area and rooms are very nice and clean. Free rental of DVDs. On the downside, I would like to mention insufficient English skills of the staff. They always say "YES" smiling, but the result is sometimes very different from what was requested. Location is remote and there are neither other restaurants nor shops in the vicinity. We have stayed 4 nights at the hotel, and it was a very good experience in overall. I would highly reccomend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to escape and relax. Pool Access room is high value for money.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Experience full-day Jungle Safari by 4x4 Jeeps (can be booked at hotel's reception)

*The staff - very courteous, always smiling and hospitable. *Location- The resort and beach are very peaceful, quite on the other end of the island far from the city. The sea view from the restaurant and beach is amazing! *Good value for Money- big clean rooms and nice pool (access)

*Very modern and contemporary in design- not for those who are lookig for thai traditional style *Spa expensive *Internet connection was not working most of the time *Food- decent *Dogs on the beach, sometimes come into the beachfront restaurant *nearest market is Nathon pier (20 mins away)

The staff was very courteous, always smiling and hospitable. We reached the hotel at midnight and yet had a smiling security guy to take us to our room (keys were ready, they didnt bother us with check in formalities, left it to be dealt with in the morning). The resort and beach are very peaceful, quite on the other end of the island (took us 1 hr to get there from the airport). But if you crave for isolation and peace with good rooms, happy staff and service..this is it. Its not 5 star, may be 4 star, but definitely good value for money. There is a free shuttle bus from the hotel to Nathon pier and back once a day. The hotel will arrange for taxis whenever you want.Good place to unwind, relax, read a book, resort has decent selection of dvds and books.Nice sea view from the restaurant. My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Hotel Feature Tip : The pool access rooms are better than sea view unless you get the beach front villa. The airport transfer offered by the hotel is cheaper than what you can get at the airport, so book with the hotel in advance. For sightseeing and other tours its cheaper to go the agents at Nathon pier (Coconut villa offers a free shuttle bus back n forth)and bargain, the hotel rates are higher.

The setting, the service, the rooms.

Not a hotel in you want to be in the centre of nightlife or shopping experience.

I went to this hotel with my wife for our wedding anniversary for two nights and it was a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. The room was right next to the beach and a swimming pool and was very quiet. Because the hotel was about 20 minutes from the nearest town we had dinner at the hotel on both nights. This was well made with good service. We would certainly come back.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Book up a island tour - but go on a open jeep ride, as it is much better than a aircon van ride.

-Very peaceful and quiet environment. -Good service with smiles all the time. -Clean and tidy room. -Special swimming pool.

-Beach not for swim basically. -A bit little friendly insects in room. -A bit remote, no shops around at all (better stay with a car rental).

We stayed in the pool view room for 2 nights in the late May. We checked-in in a heavy rainy night but the staff still welcome us with a big smile and very friendly service. The room is clean and tidy, although there was a few friendly insects since the hotel is close to the nature very much. The swimming pool between the 2 room blocks is marvelous, just steps away from your room door, and is very big. The breakfast was simple but delicious enough. We recommend this hotel for those relax traveller with a car rental along. The remote location of the hotel could cost a little more travel time and money but we think the really peaceful environment of the hotel is worth a try.

Superb rooms with dvd player, essential with young kids. Excellent service and always with a smile. Great restaurant and lovely staff. Very nice spa for pampering but quite pricey. Fantastic hotel design and ambiance- heaven on earth!

Needs more frequent shuttles out of resort. Needs cheaper transport into town. Needs have a money exchanging facility as town or cash point is very far away. It was 50 mins from airport but we liked the fact it was away from the crowds and quite secluded.

I have been to Thailand many times but this was without a doubt perfection on all levels. I like to travel mid range and this was top service for mid range prices. My 8 year old niece was in heaven with the two beautiful pools, my brother inlaw loved the clean beach for walks and my sister enjoyed the spa treatments and the quiet relaxing feel of the hotel, i loved the design of the resort, great feng shui. Like anywhere the people make all the difference and this team were absolutely gorgeous, professional, caring and gave you that extra special treatment that makes you want to come back. I would recommend this hotel to people looking for somewhere quiet to escape to.

Nightlife Tip : Is well away from the noisier parts of island which we were sooo pleased about. So if you want to party this is not the place to stay.

Need transport if your stay is longer than a couple of days. No local restaurants in walking distance.

I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a quiet holiday. The staff were excellent, breakfast was good, no complaints at all. Value for money if booked through Agoda.

free DVDs, beach, swimming pools, free kayak

breakfast, location, hotel's shuttle

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Even if you're looking for a lovely hide-away, cause it's really too far from everything and hotel's shuttle is not convenient at all. The hotel itself is not a kind of place where you can spend all the free time. The restaurant is not that great, the beach is nice but you cant swim there cause the sea is shallow and also full of seaweed. The only thing you can do is watch DVDs or rent a kayak and paddle to the nearest islands. The breakfast was an unpleasant surprise cause it wasn't a buffet but a standard American/continental/asian. Moreover, the staff always mixed everything up or forgot to bring smth. The room was nice modern clean but simple, the bath was quite large with a large bathtub. They also offered us free foot massage but frankly speaking it was not impressive at all, looked like the girl was doing for the first time in her life! Moreover, spa is unreasonably expensive. Another drawback is that you'll have to pay so much for the taxi to get from airport/port and back comapred to other hotels. There is no supermarket or anything nearby. You can easily find

Hotel Feature Tip : Don't rent a bike in the hotel, it's twice as much expensive as anywhere else.

Quiet and relaxing Big rooms Great pool near the bar and the beach Excellent SPA Reasonable restaurant Very friendly staff

A bit off the beaten track, far from nearby shops, restaurants, etc.

Nice and quiet, the resort was not at all crowded and even when it got busier, there was enough space for all. The rooms were quite big and evenly spaced so as to not feel overly crowded. The service is excellent, the staff are very attentive without being too overbearing. The SPA is a little on the expensive side when compared to other resorts of a similar standing. Overall a great holiday and definitely worth a stay.

Clean, quiet, comfortable

remote, not much to see / do around outside it, shuttle service available but too rigid

The Coconut Villa is a beautiful property in the southern-most tip of Koh Samui. The resort is serene, very well-quipped with a restaurant, spa, 2 pools, a semi-private beach, own dvd rental (free) library, and a daily shuttle service to Lamai and Nathon. However, it's best to get your own transportation - you can hire mopeds / bikes starting at 200 baht/day - since there is very little to do or see around the hotel (no shopping / restaurants) and the daily shuttle service gives you just about 2 hours at each place, which is not so great. Use it on the first day to hire a vehicle. Also, because of it's remoteness, a late-night return is a bit scary, with some parts of the road dark and deserted. However, appears to be safe; we didn't have any incidents. The menu is also somewhat limited. The airport is also on the other end of the island. However, the place is on it's own is a lovely experience, and has to be experienced.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : hire your own vehicle, since this is remote and the shuttle service isn't sufficient for detailed / extensive sightseeing.
