Location is perfect for everything. Samui is a small island and we hired a car for 1600 baht for 24 hourss which allowed us to see all the islands attractions. Across the road is a pharmacy, laundry service (30 baht / kilo) and numerous eating places. We couldn't fault this family friendly resort.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We visited the aquarium and tiger park. Unfortunately it was run down and very sad. The artists on Chaweng beach road are amazing and their work is much cheaper than their Bangkok counterparts.

I expected Koh Samui to be better than Phuket, but the beaches in general were less clean, the whole island is geared to extort extra costs from foreigners and all restraunts added 10% service charge to bills. The cheap option of flying to Suratthani and then catching the ferry to Koh Samui is not that much cheaper. Taxi fare from airport to ferry port is 1600 baht, boat 200 baht per person and taxi from ferry port on Samui to hotel can range from 500-900 baht. Add the extra journey time of 3hrs + so in my opinion it is better to fly direct with Bangkok Airways.
- Travel tip : The beach is busy but compared to the majority of other beaches much cleaner. Some hotels have private beaches which is a pity. These beaches may be better than the majority of public beaches on the island.
Fantastic!
