It was a good experience staying in First Residence, the staffs are very helpful and friendly, the breakfast is just nice and the room is excellent, clean and newly renovated.
Very friendly staffs and clean environment.
A bit too far from the main happening central area.
Everything is just perfect

The room is newly renovated and the swimming pool is cute. Security is tight and located at a very peaceful and quiet area with mini-mart around, very convenient.
Very clean and quiet.
Not at the city centre.
Good Value

From this hotel, we moved to their sister hotel, First House, close by but on the beach. First Residence is much much nicer, in terms of the room and overall appearance and comfort.
- Travel tip : Make sure you name your price for the truck taxis before you get into it, and confirm whether this is per person or altogether. They usually start on the high end, but are willing to accept lower. Metered taxis are much more expensive and not worth it.

I honestly would not stay here again if someone paid me to. I would not stay here again if it were the last hotel in Samui that had vacancy. I would change my travel plans intstead.
- Travel tip : There is a World Gym very close. "Real" gyms are hard to find in places like Samui. Hotels with so-called fitness centers typically have some cardio machines and a couple of dinky dumbbells, completely useless for the person who seriously works out with weights.
