Golden Sand Beach Resort Samui Info
Providing two styles of accommodation, bungalow or main building guestroom, the resort is surrounded by gardens and situated on beautiful Lamia Beach. The Golden Sand Beach Resort is located alongside the shopping, restaurants and entertainment venues in Lamia Beach. It is also close to a ring road that will easily take guests to the rest of Koh Samui with all of its major attractions. The three-star resort is directly connected to the south end of Lamia Beach, providing guests a beautiful stretch of beach to sunbathe or swim. The onsite restaurant serves both Traditional Thai and western dishes, and is known for providing an exceptionally good breakfast buffet.

the hotel was in a good location in the town but still on the beach font and there was areas around the pool and on the beach fro you to use sun beds for the day...The pool was tiled in brown tiles so wasn't the nicest looking, but not a problem and was clean and staff around at all times our room was not painted so looked a bit like a prison cell in gray with 2 tacky looking pictures put up. The shower was awful (a trickle!) the TV had no English on and only one plug socket in the corner or the room (if like us you are girls that ment drying hair without the use of a mirror). At first out light didn't work and the balcony doors didn't look, we did complain about this and they got them fixed straight away but not something you want to deal with when first landing. There is no safe in the room but you can have use of one at the front desk area.
Shopping Tip : shops are cheaper in samui than in bangkok so if your getting gifts etc maybe pick up here than in bangkok

good location , on the beach and close to shoppoing and entertainment, but not noisy bit overrated, specially those old wooden bungalow well again i was enjoying my stay in Samui, the Orchid is good, I liked those new glasshouse bungalows, nice modern style with a lot of light.. good location, beachfront but in the back the shopping plus entertainment street, everything with foot-walk access!!
Travel tip : again great location u can go everywhere in Lamai walking..
