The comfort of the room (apartment), location and distance from the beach 9.3 I had very good time in this hotel, At first my plan was to spend there just one night and continue the next day to Koh-Pangan but then when I arrived to the hotel I decided to stay just over there. First I was surprised from the room. It is actually an apartment with living room, kitchen and balcony. Another thing is the great location of the hotel. It is literally 10 meters air distance from the beach. you can wake up in the morning and just get down the stairs directly to the beach. which also makes great view from the room. The only down side in my stay was that the internet didn't work quiet well and was occasionally very slow. Report this review
Victor W. Solo travelers Australia, April 04, 2013	A great place to relax The location, the peaceful atmosphere, the plinge pool. 8 It was a very relaxing holiday. I enjoyed the plunge pool and the local restaurants. The Happy Elephant was my pick of a great variety of places to eat. If arriving on a Fridays, I suggest you do so before 5pm, otherwise you will have to walk to your resort as the street is closed to transport because it becomes the famous walking street. Couples United States of America, March 28, 2013	Nice beach house in Fisherman's Village/ Bophut location, pool, cleanliness 8.7 The Grand Villa la Perla was located just steps from the main walking street in Fisherman's Village. It's more of a beach house than a hotel. It's located right on the beach, where the sand happens to be much softer than Bophut beach. If you're looking to spend your nights enjoying the street food, bars, and restaurants of fisherman's village, this is the hotel for you. If you want a long private beach with powdery white sand, you have to go to the west side of the island or day trip to another island. Because of the hotels proximity to the pier, it's easy to use the house as a jumping point to other islands. When you're there, I highly recommend 1) take a cooking class with the Bophut Cookery Class (you can book with the travel agency right outside the hotel, 2) day trip to koh tao 3) walking street any evening 4) Eat some awesome seafood. The hotel provides breakfast at Karma Sutra, which is located just down the road from the hotel. The food is okay an options are pretty limited. Report this review
