Great Rooms clean and made up every day. good pool and chilled atmosphere

The sea directly in front of Hutcha Resort was quite muddy when i was there. There is a lot of bacteria in the water and I caught a ear infection from swimming. The food can be average

Hutcha Resort is located in a less bizzy corner on Samui. Great Rooms clean and made up every day. good pool and chilled atmosphere. The sea directly in front of Hutcha was quite muddy when i was there. There is a lot of bacteria in the water witch i was not told about and I caught a ear infection from swimming in the sea. The food can be average but the overall vibe was great and excellent value for money. Recommend for people who are traveling on a budget but want a bit of luxury at a affordable price

Restaurant Tip : Good sea food a 5 min stroll down the beach. I forget the name of the restaurant but they have seating directly on the beach.

Nice staff, great pool, right on the beach, decent prices for fancy restaurant

wifi doesn't reach the rooms at the back

We loved this hotel, the room is small but certainly adequate. Restaurant is nice, hotel is located in a nice area, breakfast is simple but free, pool is great, reception staff lovely, and it's right on the beach. For the prices that agoda can get, it's probably the best value for money in the island.

Restaurant Tip : nice french restaurant just up the road, cheap DECENT wine (a rarity on Samui)

Cute

The bathroom is literally outside your room

We stayed here cause it was close to the pier for koh phangan ferry. So just one night. Though the resort is nice and all new there is one reason why we will not be returning. The bathroom is beautiful and could be a great if your at ease with outdoor insects ... However as it's literally and outdoor bathroom. You open the door to your bathroom from your room and it's not built within four walls that touch a roof. The roof is raised from the walls. And therefore we had a night fight with a flying cockroach, especially when u are sat on a toilet and bugs can come at you from anywhere. In fact it was only this one flying cockroach that made the experience uncomfortable. But after that any toilet bathroom shower occassion was never relaxed ... It was watch out time. The staff were very nice and welcoming.

Hotel Feature Tip : Scary outdoor tropical bathroom experience

-very friendly team -great food in a restaurant -clean rooms, very clean swimming poole -nice location for those who like privacy

small rooms

Very pleasant experience overall. Rooms are shockingly small, but hey you only sleep there anyway. Very friendly staff always there to help. Romms are cleaned every day to a very high standard + a complementary water provided. We booked 3 nights, but stayed for a week in the end. We have been treated like a family members,so it was sad to go. With agoda we paid £13 per night and I cant think of a better value for money. Highly recommended for those who is not too bothered with the size of the room. We will definately come back next year

Modern/stylish bungalows in peaceful garden setting, next to beach, great pool area with jacuzzi, friendly/helpful staff

None

This is a brand-new resort in a peaceful garden setting. The thatched-roof bungalows are minimalist inside, though attractive, clean and stylish, with air-con or fan and porch area. The shower room is roomy and smart with an open roof allowing you the pleasure of showering under the swaying palm and coconut trees. There is a spotless pool area with a large pool, jacuzzi, comfy loungers and huge umbrellas. Breakfast is served in the open-air lounge which is only 50 metres from beautiful Maenam beach and the sea. The price (through Agoda) was extremely reasonable for the level of comfort and facilities offered by Hutcha - a real find!

Restaurant Tip : Come out of the resort to the main road and wander up to find any of several small eateries that are very much cheaper, and mostly tastier, than the resort restaurants.

Clean, quiet, nice staff

river running through the resort needs a good clean. if the rooms were 5sqM bigger they would be perfect.

The superior villa was very good value for money in regards to it's cleanliness and facilities. The open-air bathroom was a nice feature and, surprisingly, there were very few mosquito issues. The champagne shower head was perfect after a long day on the beach. The bar and restaurant provided good meals at fair prices for resort accommodation although the restaurant staff were a bit slack with their customer service. Overall an enjoyable stay and would recommend it in the future

Hotel Feature Tip : Superior villa or above is the way to go

Close to the pier, if you are going to Koh tao. Great masseuse! Awesome food! Lovely staff! Clean room. Lovely view. Affordable price. Quiet.

Bugs - well you can't do anything to do about them in any islands. The pool water gets pretty warm because of the sun. Room was a bit small.

My boyfriend and I wanted a place to stay in Koh samui before going to Koh Tao next day. So we needed a resort close to the pier and also we didn’t want to pay a lot of money for the accommodation in Koh samui. I read some reviews about this resort and booked it for only one day. The price was cheap so I was a bit concerned. However, we absolutely loved this place, so we rebooked it for the day before leaving Koh samui. Awesome food! I loved the restaurant! especially loved the red curry. I kept thinking about it in Koh tao and ended up having it when restaying. And for the dinner, staffs set some tables at the beach and had fresh sea food. We had a red snapper, some prawns, potatoes and vegetable. It was absolutely delicious! The scenery was perfect and beautiful. The wind was blowing, the moon up in the air between palm trees, subtle lights and candles glowing. It was PERFECT! Lovely Staff! All the staffs were amazing. They were smiling all times and took care our every need. The most impressive thing was when one of them actually drove us to the airport at 4:30 am!! Clean room! We stayed in the cheapest one with the Fan. It was small, but really clean. Also the bathroom was clean and westernized one. So we didn't have any problem with the room. But, if you can't stand little bugs, you might not like the bathroom that much. Since its roof is open, bugs(ants, spider, etc) will get in to the bathroom. We didn't mind at all. Thank you HUTCHA RESORT for letting us have the best time ever in Koh samui!!

Quiet location, friendly staff, near the beach and good value for money

The cleaning of the room was not so good

Nice hotel in a very quiet part of Samui. We appreciated the quiet location away from the main tourist areas of the island. This is the perfect place if you want to get away from the crowds. The beach was nice, maybe not as beautiful as other beaches but we had it almost to ourselves. There is not much night life here, at least not in August, but if you enjoy walking along a moonlit beach or sitting at a beachfront restaurant, listening to the waves, then Mae Nam is a wonderful place.

- clean and nice swimming pool - Friendly staff

- small breakfast/no buffet

For the cabdriver the hotel was hard to find. Anyway after some information from the local people we found the hotel. First impression; friendly staff, nice and clean swimming-pool, nice located restaurant and a nice small garden towhere the cottages. The breakfast was small. It wasn't a buffet. From the resort it was just a few meters to the beach. Nice to walk. Overall it is good value for the money.

Great value, friendly staff

Small rooms, no bedside lamp or table

We normally stay in more expensive hotels, but took a chance with Hutcha for part of our holiday and it paid off. The villas are a bit small, with no bedside table or lamp. But they are clean and functional. The a/c was very quick and efficient. The bathroom is outdoors and get a bit hot at times and if it is raining you might get wet. The pool area is nice, but there were quite a lot of children there during our stay so it was rather noisy at times. There is a massage sala by the pool that offers very nice massages at a good price. The staff is overall very nice and helpful. And everything at the resort is very cheap, lunch, drinks, dinner and massage, so overall the value is just outstanding.

could not fault the value for money concept, everything was there at an extremely reasonable price

the creek/waterway/drain running through the resort could be flushed ,cleaned out or filled ...not working and a bit smelly

Stayed 3 nights in a fan room right down the back, it was all I needed, fan worked a treat, no telly but didn't come hear to watch TV, shower excellent...if you don't like this place on a value for money basis then stay home. Great massages, good cheap food, good location and the people were lovely

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take the Koh Tao snorkelling trip, they pick up at resort and drop you back...excellent

next to beach, pool/jacuzzi, pool towels. lot's of TV channels, frigde in superior villa room + 2 comlimentary water per day, terrace. center of mae nam-beach, restaurant has good food. Staff knows english.

reception staff not smiling, no phone, no safetybox, no hairdryer in room. Room is very small. bathroom is thailike outside, and door was very unsafety.

we got upgraded our room from superior to superior villa for free! That was so great, cos in superior room there is no TV or frigde!! Breakfast was same every day (not buffet!): toast, egg, bacon/ham/or sausage. extra stuff for 50-150 baht, like cornflakes, pancakes, water (cost 20 baht/0,5 l). Bathroom was not good! Thailike: all the bugs and lizards came to our room.

The staff are very pleasant and you have everything you need from a pool, minute walk to the beach, massage on site and a restaurant with a pool table. The superior rooms are clean, tidy and the bathroom with rain shower is quirky yet pleasant. the shower is amazing.

Obviously there are going to be bugs occasionally in a room like this, but saying that the staff were very efficient at solving the problem and they never came back.

New resort Clean rooms Simple but good breakfast

In house taxi service - expensive!

Nice self contained resort, located directly near one of Samui's quieter beaches. Rooms expertly clean and towels made into animals (which always make me smile!) Breakfast simple but good esp as included in price. Made the whole stay good value for money. Go down the road for taxi services though the hotel taxi is at least 100tb more expensive than anyone else.

Restaurant Tip : Take left when you're on the beach and there's a good restaurant on the beachfront. Use the taxi service just outside the resort's entrance also doubles up as an internet shop.

Brand new - extremly clean and modern with a thai twist. great restaurant - very cheap!! Indoor/outdoor bathroom.

smaller rooms are small - no good for a family, but teh bigger rooms are fantastic.

This resort is great - BRAND NEW!! Very clean, the staff are great and went out of their way to help. The poll is great for a young family, and the larger rooms are fantastic, especially the indoor/outdoor showers etc. The beach is nice, though the pool is not onthe beach. pleanty of beach restaurants close byt. Great if you want to be out of it and relax by the pool for a few days.
