imperial Samui is a nice hotel with a good pool and the beach here is much cleaner than the main area of Chaweng. To get into Chaweng and around, I would recommend getting a scooter for 200 Baht ($6 US)per day. Otherwise the taxi will charge you 200 Baht per trip. The buffet breakfast was also pretty good.

Nice beach and pool, rooms were good sizes and nice.

It's a little far from the main area in Chaweng.

• Restaurant Tip : Eat Sense was really good and is right on the beach. Also, Mr. Ung's Safari tour around the island is pretty fun.

We booked 3 days here at the last minute based on the hotel website and tripadvisor reviews. This hotel more than lived up to the already excellent reviews and its own website did not do it full justice. It was absolutely excellent in every way. The upkeep of this hotel was of an exceptionally high standard, excellent beach, staff and food were superb. Room was beautiful

I really could find little fault in this hotel and I can be fussy ! The evening buffets are excellent but the pricing of the standard menu tends to push you towards the buffet option which the staff obviously prefer you to take. Hotel Shuttle to airport was more expensive than a cab.

• Hotel Feature Tip : Massages are cheaper on the beach ! Cab to airport is cheaper than hotel shuttle if more than 1 person

You'll need to bus or taxi it into Chaweng or it'll take you about 45 minutes to walk into the main strip. Taxis will be about 200 baht so why not rent a scooter from the hotel for 200 baht/day. Most people get sick at some stage. We did after eating at the restaurant to the left (standing on the beach facing the restaurants) of Ark bar. The food seemed fine but after visiting the horrendously dirty toilets that the staff also use, it's easy to see that hygiene is non-existant.

• Restaurant Tip : Beach love resturant. about 600m south of resort along the beach, cheap and good food, most of the beach resturants are.

If you fancy a change from the hotel food try the Beach Love restaurant just down the beach for great food at very low prices.

• Shopping Tip : Please don't buy fireworks on the beach. They are very dangerous. I have seen one land in a restaurant and explode.

Not the hotel's fault, I suppose but, the red flag was up on the beach for the whole week. There are other resorts that are more sheltered.

• Nightlife Tip : The hotel did provide entertainment in the evening but main town of Chaweng is a taxi-ride away for all you night clubbers.

Throughly enjoyed our stay of 13 nights, the staff were very attentive and kept the room to an excellent standard. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
