great location and beach

superior room is quite small and need renovation.

stayed in a superior room for two days in september. The room was a bit small and needed some renovation, but with great sea view The location is a bit far from central Chaweng, but it made our stay tranquille and relaxing. Beach was excellent, with several nice restaurants around

The overall ambience is captivating with good balance of facilities comprising the spa facilities, good choice of restaurants, swimming pool and the long sandy beach. From where the seaview room is at 3rd level, the view of the whole resort is simply remarkable. The staffs are also friendly and helpful.

The water pressure for the shower is fairly weak with uneven heat temperature.

Although the resort is not in the Chaweng town, it is easily assessible within 5 - 10 minutes away. The lobby offers a very homely feel buffered by the staffs' friendliness. From the seaview room, I have a full, astounding view of the whole resort. The swimming pool is located next to the restaurant providing proximity to the bar and restaurant at a call away. From the pool, we can walk over to the beach which is located just a doorstep away. The long sandy beach is unquestionably relaxing, as we laze on the bench and sip the favourite drinks of our choice with a book in our hand at all times. Their promotional happy hours are reasonable and kept us wanting to consume more. The breeze could not be more relaxing but tend to make us doze off unconsciously. The spa facilities are also commendable, as the massage services are soothing under the purview of professional masseurs and relatively inexpensive compared to other resorts of same quality. We had tried going to Baan Taling Ngam for its massage but find that the price is way higher compared to Swasana Spa although the location is not as conducive. Overall, our stay there has been very pleasant for the price that is considerably cheaper compared to the smaller resorts in Chaweng town center. Notwithstanding, the resort should consider improving the shower facilities, as the water pressure is weak with uneven water temperature. During the peak shower moments, the water level can be low causing unnecessary distress. Also, the breakfast hours end slightly earlier at 10am, which will not bode too well for residents who had late nights before. The breakfast buffet is satisfactory with the essential varieties such as breads/croissants, the egg station and the noodle sections.

Private beach with comfortable lounge chairs, great service, fantastic breakfast buffet

Expensive extras (restaurant, taxi to airport, internet)

We had a fabulous stay at the Impiana hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent -- the drink upon arrival, the relaxed atmosphere at the hotel, and attentive staff. The room was standard with not much extra, but it was extremely comfortable. If you are a looking for a lovely, quiet beach (not as active as Chaweng) then this is the spot for you. We did wonder why the hotel charges so much at the spa and restaurants when there are so many other options so close by. The seafood restaurant directly next to the hotel was priced reasonably and our meal there was quite tasty. Additionally, the small massage hut directly on the beach was very cheap and quite relaxing. During the day, there is a small shack that sets up selling noodles and fruit shakes that was much cheaper and an easy lunch option.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There is a cheaper internet spot about fifteen minutes walk on the main road toward Chaweng. We found this to be a better deal for internet.

Comfort of the rooms (furniture, space, sound proofing) Unqualified staff (english skills, friendliness) Constant disturbance on the beach

Rooms: We arrived at the hotel with the last flight around midnight. Upon arrival, our first impression was not very positive as we found the hotel staff unfriendly. Anyways, we then discovered our standard room: - old furniture - facing the road (constant truck and tuk-tuk noises) - with a terrible toilet smell Our friends (another couple) were given another standard room with the same characteristics (except for the smell) but without AC. The day after we changed to a superior room, which by international standards, would not be considered a 4 star hotel (very small bathroom with shower only, no room to put toiletries). Unqualified staff: After discovering the rooms, we went back to the reception to find out that most of the staff had left, leaving only one receptionist who couldn’t speak English (although he seemed to understand us, we couldn’t understand him). When we explained the problem with the room, he gave us another standard room, and tried to relocate our friends to our initial room! Seeing the low quality of all the standard rooms (2 stars by international standards), we explained that we were willing to pay for an upgrade but he kept telling us to wait for the next day. It seemed he wasn’t able to take any decision by himself and had to wait for the morning shift. We did not mind waiting until the next day to change room but found the staff not really qualified for a hotel which claims to be a 4 star property. Beach: As mentioned in previous reviews, the beach is great, white sand, clear water… But the Impiana has a bar on the beach which constantly plays music. Ranging from Dr. Dre to Celine Dion, the music was loud enough to be an issue (I could still hear it while listening to my own ipod). Also, while trying to relax on the beach, we were constantly disturbed by sellers. They would walk between the deckchairs and talk to us (about every 2 minutes!). I’m guessing that the beach of the Impiana is in fact a public beach, and therefore, there’s n

Location Pool Bars

A little far from Chaweng center = 15 minutes in taxi. But free bus to center 2 times a day.

The resort is very nice located directly on the beach. There is two restaurant and two bars and a pool. The rooms are nice and the breakfast is impressive. It is located in a quiet area.

Shopping Tip : Bargain bargain bargain....it is always possible to find a better price if you do a little research .

Quiet and privacy

Quality of food and spa need big improvement.

The hotel was nice, quiet and privacy. The beach in front of the hotel are well kept in clean all the times. Most of the staff are friendly, and helpful but sometimes they are talking too much with their colleagues and failed to response our request unless we ask for the 2nd times. Seafood buffet dinner need a big improvement! Its not FRESH.

Excellent hotel and location.

Restaurant Tip : Wouldn't recommend the food as there is so much choice everywhere for better quality and value. Try the Little Boat in Chaweng opposite Chaweng Resort, excellent food, friendly staff, and great value. Steamed Thai fish is great but also have European food if you don't like Thai food.

Until mid of 2008 the hotel undergoes a major renovation initiative. For any disturbances, which we experienced to be very minor only, some general discounts are provided. The location is especially for those guests who want to stay away from the big crowds and enjoy their tranquility.

Restaurant Tip : The three seafood restaurants at the beach next to the hotel are very good and provide tasty food at reasonable prices. It's superb for a sundowner with subsequent mouth-watering fresh seafood and delicious fresh fish. We enjoyed the deep fried red snapper with chilli sauce - yummy!

You have to get a cab or tuk-tuk into Chaweng from here and it's not very easy to get a tuk-tuk out the front. There's a cab rank out the front, but they charge more than a tuk-tuk.

Good hotel, friendly and helpful staff, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, very enjoyable stay.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Right between main areas of Lamai and Chaweng is very quiet but you can have best of both worlds.

location - beach - cleaning - food - Deluxe large and well cared for

staff, mostly men, is not always adequate for a hotel of this category.

Strongly recommended: really good position right on the beach of "Chaweng Noi" which is more beautiful and much quieter than the nearby and famous Chaweng ", which I found too chaotic. The living city in the evening rises behind the beach of "Chaweng" and is still reachable in 4 minutes by taxi to an insignificant expense. (contract ever before boarding the price). Gone quiet ... good journey!

Restaurant Tip : surprised by the quality of catering ... nice idea every night for an evening theme among other things at great value: I have spent less of famous restaurants on the beach.

the very organized, help at the reception x tours and taxis. Taxis available outside the hotel. pool, restaurant and general architecture mmolto attractive. welcoming the customer very nice (with tea and reception on chairs)

stellar prices in the restaurant. Room smaller than expected, not good money. little privacy and very noisy in the morning. stink in the bathroom due to? staff at the restaurant on the beach was unpleasant and unhelpful. if there were no free umbrellas cares?

no sports equipment. restaurant beloved by the side of the restaurant a Barachini (much better and more characteristic of the post) that cost a quarter of the price.

Restaurant Tip : the shack on the beach, to the left of the hotel is much nicer / good and reliable than that of the hotel. serving the people are fun and even more professional than the hotel!
