Spacious room, hotel is relatively new, serene & tranquil environment, great service level, good spa & restaurant A bit far from Chaweng, not beach/sea fronting, room has only mirror (not even a full length, only 1 tissue box A great resort hotel if you want quiet and relaxing environment. It is not sea/beach fronting but they provide shuttle service to the beach about 700 meters away. A bit far from the hustle and bustle of Chaweng. The service level is immaculate - staff very courteous, friendly and helpful. The spa is good but a bit pricey. The hotel is relatively new with great setting. The beach area is not great compared to the southern part of the island.
Restaurant Tip : Go to Angela's place for good western food and pastry - about 500 meters from the hotel. For great Thai food, go to John's Garden - about 2 km from the hotel. Both in the direction to Nathon

Service impeccable
Breakfast superb
Facilities - all you could need Needed a break away from the madness - Kirikayan was it. Shuttle to beach and hands-on service while there was great. Service was impeccable. The King of Thailand would be happy here!
Restaurant Tip : Maenam Cheer right at the Kirikayan Beach club. Excellent food at excellent prices!

Room size, staff, room equipments, silence. We had the honour to stay in that fantastic hotel for the last 3 nights at Samui before going back to Bangkok. We booked the "smallest" room at that hotel and the first words after we opened the door was: WHOW!!! A 100m² brand new apartment with everything you need and feeling like home. Everything was closed to perfect. After 3 weeks round trip across Thailand we found heaven on earth. Open air Jacuzzi, nice big bedroom, kitchen, a living room just to relax a little bit between the beach and dinner. The staff was very friendly and we will definitely come back.

New hotel, big rooms, nice pool. Kirikaya is a very good hotel, with really good and big rooms and a absolutly fantastic restaurant. The staff of the hotel is the best I ever had in a hotel (and I traveled a lot already in my life). The beach is also very nice, very quiet and clean. The beach restaurant is also very good.

Newly built, very thoughtful customer service. Free pick-up service from/to the airport, the hotel also provides free shuttle service to Chaweng area and the beach (in the other hotel we stayed, those shuttle services are NOT free). We stayed in 2 different hotels on Samui island and by comparison, Kirikayan is far better than the other hotel we stayed at. The room charge is reasonable, the staffs are very attentive, the apartment style guest room is unexpectedly large, the hotel itself is very new and very beautiful. Though the beach is on the other side of the hotel, it only takes about 3 minutes to the beach by hotel shuttle bus. The beach is amazingly beautiful, on a long stretched of coast line with soft sands and no rocks.

New and huge room.
Nice breakfast. A little far from main road. We arrive in October 2008, the hotel opens recently, so we have a special deal through agoda. And we think are lucky to stay such a very nice place, our room is huge and very clean. Staffs at the reception are friendly and helpful, driving and picking us up in town at the time we like. The hotel is situated on the hill somewhere which is quiet and surrounded by trees.
Travel tip : nice and quiet beach is not far away, maybe 10 minutes walk from the hotel , and we found a cheap and yummy restaurant right on the beach !!

The Pool Villa was very large and quiet.
The staff is kind, and the cooking is the best to take it easy with good stillness.
Hot water of Jacuzzi did not turn hot. There was that the insect died into the bed room. The beach club is small and dark and dirty.

Good value for the Suites and one bed room villa.
Food in the restaurant is excellent, the best we got in Samui. Quiet. Very spacious room, and hotel offers free airport transfer. Location is a bit far from the city area. Not within walking distance to Maenam Beach. Still in soft launch period so not too many other activities inside the resort.
Good Hot deal offer at Agoda, still in soft launch period, so breakfast is made to order (all you can eat). Really good restaurant for both breakfast and dinner, never stayed eating at the hotel for so many days and nights. The beach is a bit far away but very quiet, different from Chawang where it is busy and with lots of night life. Changed to one-bed room villa with private swimming pool, which was very luxurious. Room service breakfast everyday. Also enjoyed their private in-villa seafood BBQ at 3000baht for two, which was very romantic.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Join the Koh Tao and Koh Nanyang Snorkelling trip, but if possible see if there is any only Koh Nanyang snorkeling trip. The Koh Tao one is not too worthwile compare with Koh Nanyan.

If you don't mind being slightly out of the way, this is a really good value option. I suggest looking for deals here in the next few months while they are still getting everything right.
If you are looking for something more complete, try Santiburi resort (older, but luxurious), The Library (super modern and super cool) or Six Sense Hideaway (unmatched on the island).
Nightlife Tip : The Fisherman's Village is quite nearby... recommend a visit to The Pier - great cocktails and food.
